In this video I show how to cut and connect cardboard 11 different ways 1. Fold 2. Slot 3. Pipe Cleaner 4. Flange 5. Bend 6. Tab 7. Slot and Tab 8. L Bracket 9. Brass Fastener 10. Gussett 11. Wedge
Layer the pieces alternating the direction of the grains for more strength, then glue or tape. Love the Zipsnip and the Canary knife!. They are on my wish list now!.
Timestamps: The Fold (1:22) The Slot (2:30) The Pipe cleaner (4:05) The Flange (6:22) The Bend (7:28) The Tab (8:34) The Tab and Slot (10:05) The L Bracket (12:20) The Brass Fastener (14:13) The Gusset (15:54) The Wedge/Fold (17:30)
Recommendation for hinging to pieces of cardboard... say you want to take two pieces of cardboard that are 12" x 24" and you want to hinge them together on the 24" side... what's the best method/ approach? Think of it as a large, tall menu.
Great video, taught me a lot and very easily explained.
Glad it helped!
