While i love the new games for incorporating a cinematic story mode, there was something special about getting each character's ending and piecing together the story of each game.
My first exposure to the franchise was the 1995 movie but deadly alliance is what got me into the games too and been a fan of the franchise ever since. The 6th gen Mortal Kombat games will hold a special place in my heart.

I think it's because Scorpion is a spectre driven by vengeance and technically "evil" or revived by evil beings like Quan Chi, therefore he can be destroyed by a Soulnado.
Last time I checked, Fujin became the new protector of Earthrealm after Raiden ascended to Elder God in Mortal Kombat 4. So, shouldn't it be Fujin aiding the Earthrealm heroes against the Deadly Alliance?

As cool as this game was when I was a kid you could tell the writing went to straight horse crap, realistic Shang Tsung woulda absorbed "Shao Kahns" soul like he did with Liu Kang and basically become unstoppable, this game was technically Over before it started. Sorry for spoiler but it wasn't Shao Kahn and Tsung would've definitely been able to tell that wasn't him either through the body or the soul, and realistically Kahn could body both sorcerers not that he'd trust a netherrealm demon like Quan Chi in his presence.

Just seen this and it dawned on me, how the hell shang tsung lose to Quan chi if his ability to absorb souls supposed to give him the fighting ability and power of ppl he's taken when he took liu Kangs soul, he should of whipped Quan chi with no effort, only explanation is Quan chis amulet 👀🤨

But no matter what Mortal Kombat tournament takes place, he fights alongside Outworld.
Out of all the endings, I loved the ending of Sub-Zero, Frost, Shang Tsung, and Raiden. And including the ending of Scorpion, Kenshi, and Bo'Rai Cho.
