Man this during the time when Asian TH-cam artists were getting the most exposure on TH-cam. Before TH-cam became about watching people play video games.
This is such a throw back. For real I remember being in my confused time of 8th grade to now bing a senior about to graduate high school. Damn this track might get me emotional real shit
I remember listening to this years ago this is where i first heard D-Pryde and ive followed him ever since you can say "This is the dpryde we all know and miss" but i say this is the dpryde that we all knew and loved and now we look at him now and love him even more.
2k17 .... this is the most classic throwback... wish they make a new collab like this.... they are one of my inspirations to study music engineering...
Quarantine really got me watching all these og videos. Got me remember grade 9 in 2010 when all the asians use to chill in the cafeteria days with a guitar and sing this
Just got done watching the interview Timothy did with Russell and had to come back to watch this video! Love the interview. Glad you guys have stayed so close over the years. But yeah, I heard this remix before I ever heard the official song. I remember driving in my car listening to the radio and then the official one started to play I got GEEKED thinking it was you guys!! Disappointment set in quick and after that day anytime the official song would come on and I'd see a friend singing it is be like "You need to hear this Asian remix to the song! They kill it and I like it so much more!"... I even remember adding this song on a mixtape or two back in the day 😎 But yeah, this song is how I discovered D Pryde. It was to easy to see how much skill & potential the kid had. I remember looking him up on MySpace and trying to search all over the web for more music from him. I'm a long time believer and fan of his. Currently I'm 28 (so like roughly 4 years older than him) and I'm currently working with a group of people trying to build a entertainment studio in our city. I'm talking music recording, video, photos, podcast, whatever. And I often tell some of these young kids coming up to look up D Pryde.. I tell them to study him and the moves that young man made/makes. I love Pryde (and well everyone in this video, but sorry, I pick favorites lol 😅). I'll always wish and hope the best for him. I want him to be as successful as possible! But I really hope that young man knows he's created quite a great life for himself.. He's selfmade. More money is great but you can't really do much better than being your own boss & being successful... Anyway, sorry for the book. Much love to anyone that reads this and actually appreciate it for what it is ❤
Soap Boxx it's SOOOOOOOO many comments here talking about Russell bka D Pryde that it actually saddens me a little. I started listening to him a while before this came out & when I saw him in the back of The Source as Unsigned Hype I thought that was it, he finally is gonna get his US shine & I felt so proud... but his career stalled. Label mistakes & mismanagement, mom dying, drinking & drug use... he never got the chance to grab that brass ring & capitalize. That's sad.
Tim, aka Traphik’s shoutout to the other artists in his verse is waaaaay UNDERRATED! Didn’t get his JR punchline until way later too! However, pretty sure he is going for it now with Chia lol
seme aweke He kind of sounds generic to me and I don't really find myself enjoying his music. It's unfortunate because he was one of my top favs. But to each their own. He's got a new fan base now.
Man this during the time when Asian TH-cam artists were getting the most exposure on TH-cam. Before TH-cam became about watching people play video games.

Wow so true...

Traphik's verse from 4:36 to 4:42 is the best line how he incorporated everyone's names.

Yo I was in middle school when y’all dropped this 😅 I’m getting old, glad to see a few of y’all kept up with it
You think you're gettin old, haha, I'm almost 26 now and was gonna turn 18 that year when this video dropped. How do you think it makes me feel, haha.
