Masterpiece
For those who do not know much about Park Hyo Shin, here’s a basic info about him.
Park Hyo Shin is one of the best, or perhaps the best ballad singer in S.Korea. He debuted in 1999 and was highly praised for his husky style voice and hitting high notes with such a low tone voice. His highest inspiration when he was young was Luther Vandross. The control he has over his voice is incredible. Because of his extreme singing skills, many singers in Korea do not even try to attempt to sing his songs because they are all difficult to sing and most importantly difficult to show such emotions like Park Hyo Shin does.
Park Hyo shin is also highly known in Korea for not singing in the same singing method but being able to show different types of styles and tones for certain songs. He was not very lucky with his previous companies. He faced lots of litigation due to them not paying him for the concert or any events. He also had to endure lots of depressions in his life that I will not mention.
But he was able to withstand it all and now he is a CEO of his own company, been doing musicals such as “The Man who Laughs”, “Mozart” etc. And hopefully will be releasing his 8th album soon.
Park Hyo shin is highly known for songs like “Things I can not do for you”, “Good person”, “Memories resemble love”, “Snow Flower”, “Breath” and “Wild Flower”.
I highly recommend listening to his song “Wild Flower”. It is a song that tells a story about his painful and difficult past but overcoming them and bloom again. Like a wild flower.

Gotta appreciate Everything About Tae music style and sound engineering that matches his voice and range as a performer and vocalist to hear
I speculated in the teasers that it was based on the story of pygmalion and I think this mv reflects the this. Pygmalion creates a statute of the perfect woman (as he sees it) and Aphrodite grants him his wish to bring the statute to life. Pygmalion then marries the woman. Tae adds the twist at the end where the realisation comes to him that he also is a statute created by the real V alongside the woman’s statute because we see the X mark on the side of his neck as he carved on the female statue. Boy his acting, without words he expressed the storyline with just his facial expressions. The realisation starts with him partying and all the people disappearing one by one and then facing himself.
I see a running theme now of our duality king. Two V’s ending MV’s, first in the friend’s MV and now this mv. V vs Kim Taehyung, Tiger vs Bear, he has told us he has his stage persona V the tiger and he is Kim Taehyung the bear in his normal life. This man should act and direct movies. He really should be the creative director for the group MV’s. He’s so talented, creative and artistic. I hope he gets a chance to continue to develop his artistic visions in the future.
Kim Taehyung’s Duality storyline in his own VU (V universe) - Compose Coffee, Friends and Winter Ahead…to be continued? Who knows. Only V!

V the sculptor made V the statue (of himself), along with the girl statue (or it could also be the V statue, acting as alterego of the V sculptor, the one who sculpted the girl). V sculptor must be projecting his own desires to be with someone in his V statue. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he imagined living the life, ie, going around, being awed by other lives (like the butterfly, partying, being with a girl, even celebrating a birthday. But that will end, and thus the heartbreaking sadness in V’s eyes when he realized he is not real. This is when you see the girl and even his face in the mirror disappearing. The sculptor V is bloodied. This may relate to the scene where he showed frustration and broke some of his works in the workshop. The scene where V was scratching his undereye is also projected in his sculpture of himself.
This is what I think at least. Right or wrong, the MV is brilliant. It evokes many thoughts even after watching the MV, and has real depth. V’s acting is so effective and his vocal harmony with PH is superb! Overall visual is unparalleled throughout the video. Korea’s best talent and treasure, V!

Something crazy just came to my mind. In the last scene, the statue Taehyung made up to shoulder is a man (probably himself). But instead of making him, he turns him into a woman and uses her to make him happy and not be lonely. But in fact, what he needed was himself. He don't need a girl to be happy. That's why he confronts himself(statue one) in a wounded way.
I think your analysis is really spot on and you didn't know about the myth of Pignalion so you did a really good job!!!
My theory is kinda crazy remember rainy days mv he was an artist like in this video and making sculptures to and in the last mv freinds he was hitting by a car so i assume he was dead in the whole mv and the black V in the end with blood come to remind him that this is all his imagination and dreams of the perfect live he wanted to have it's all related to layover album all the seven mvs represent a storyline of loneliness and finding your true self

When I first saw the MV This is what I got from it. I think it meant that he’s dead but he didn't know it yet? He keeps going on with his life (sculpting the love of his life, enjoying life, celebrating his bday etc). Maybe there’s also the scene where everyone was wearing white except for him. (Wearing white to mourn the dead is primarily a practice in some Eastern Asian cultures). However it’s all just flashes of memories that he sees and then it seems like it’s disappearing before his eyes . Realization hit When he saw his “ bloodied self” and that’s when he realized that he’s dead. That’s why he started tearing and the smile that he had is like an “acceptance” that he has to let go because he is no longer in the world of the living.
I love everything about this. To think that Tae is also credited as both the lyricist and composer of the song.
The story is from Greek mythology. Pygmalion, played by V in this narrative, was a Cypriot sculptor who, in Ovid's Matamorphoses, pledged to remain celibate and devote himself solely to his art. One day, he sculpted a beautiful woman out of ivory alabaster. She was so perfect that he fell in love with her. On Aphrodite's festival day, Pygmalion quietly wished for a bride with the living likeness of his "ivory girl." Aphrodite granted him that wish, and the sculpture became human. This is where V's story and Ovid's story diverge. In Ovid's narrative, Pygmalion marries the sculpture-turned-human. In V's narrative, there is no happy ending -- only the realization that artistic perfection takes human form only in the fictive world of mythology.

I’ve seen your explanation a lot on these reactions & I wonder …. Yes, this video might include some of the mythology of Pygmalion but this video is not wholly about that myth. Your explanation might lead one to believe things that are not a part of V’s story here. I do think it has Pyg. vibes. But that myth is a lil twisted & creepy. Not sure V wants to take it to that place. Just saying. No hate. 😊

V is based on the artwork Pygmalion where it reflects a sculptor in love with a statue made by himself .. Like the story of Pinocchio, in an effect of faith that comes to life but this time not by the sculpture but by the sculptor, although he hated women he ends up falling in love with her in a sculpture, two versions of V from the past and present on and off stage have always given reason to the duality that is reflected in his songs, this time he gives life to his brilliant love in a fun and happy paradise but in the end it is not true. The ink running down his face is the way he writes this story and being that reality ... The parallel world of Bts always present 💜🫰🤗

A sculptor in Rainy Days, multiple V’s and a virtual world in Slow Dancing. In Fri(ends), two parallel universes with the inception moment at the end of V and Tae meeting just like in Winter ahead. He has created a VU and cleverly played the it out by making a storyline mv in 2022 (Winter Ahead) then seeding Rainy Days, Slow Dancing and Fri(end)s with hints. Songs that came after Winter Ahead in creation only to come full circle to the Winter Ahead mv for it to connect. V inspires critical thinking on steroids with his thought provoking art.

i think there was never any girl, it was just tae and tae. The birthday tae had the X too. Like when the girl was walking towards tae, it reflect male features but when the girl came on the screen for the first time it reflected as a woman but it was just a sculpted tae.
