Tazer JL Mini works great on my 2021 JLUR, adjusting tire size, enabling LED lights, recalling auto start/stop last position as off. I have yet to try the additional features.
It wasn't stated during this but the cargo cam IS NOT compatible with the trail cam. They both will override each other on the menu and the cargo cam takes layer priority, meaning it is the first button on top. You can enable both but you will have to use the dedicated trail cam button or the trail cam page of off road pages to get to it.

You can remove it and it will save the basic functions, but most people leave it connected. Only removing it if they take their Jeep into the dealer for warranty work.
They can be a real PITA to get out. Try using a little micro-screwdriver to slide alongside that tab to hold it down while you are wiggle the plug back and forth while pulling on it.

The auto stop-start is an excellent feature just push the button once in a remembers what you did last time and if you want to turn off all the net nannies on it just push that button there
I didn't read any comments on the security settings that lock your brakes with your individual steering wheel code. Anyone done that? What firmware would have that feature?
We haven't heard of anyone having a warranty voided from this and our local dealer has never said anything when take our Jeeps into them for service. That said, many people will un-marry the Tazer and remove it before taking it into the dealer.
Tazer mini has a lot of issues. Randomly locking you lockers, won’t unlock your lockers when engaged. You have to unplug the tazer then plug it back in. Not worth the money!!!

You can pull it, but you will lose the LIVE functions, other functions still work. Most people leave them in place, only pulling them if they are taking the rig into the dealer or for doing a firmware update.

No, you only use it to make the changes you need. Tire size change, gear ratio change, Halogen to LED or whatever you need. You can go back in at any time to make changes too.

Even slightly (taking my gladiator rubicon from Orlando all the way to San Fransisco and hitting Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Sequoia and Yosemite in the process… and then back to Orlando) so anything to help for gas mileage will be a huge help.
Can this add a GXD code to my 2020 Jeep JL for the proximity entry aftermarket add on? The company I purchased the kit from says it has to be GXD, not the usual GXM. Thank you

Getting ready to but this unit I switched to led DRL what function do I have to turn on so I won’t get the flickering and turn signal light out message to go away thanks in advance!
DRL is under Submenu - Lighting. You can make changes to all the different lights around the vehicle. For the LED flickering, you need to set the headlights to LED and it also depends on whether the lights you have are designed with built-in anti-flicker.
We haven't tried that combination. It that Banks kit is only a pedal sensitivity booster, then it would be possible. The Tazer does not do anything with throttle control.
The hood alarm is a non-menu feature that came out in firmware 11.0.8. So if you install a Tazer with the newest firmware update, you should automatically have the hood alarm.
so you just plug it in you dont need to plug anything in the dianostic port just plug it in under the dash my overland has 373 gears can i set the gear ratio differnt so the trans shifts sooner so its not as dodoggy
Need to turn off STOP/GO feature in my 2020 JL. Keep saying it not available and that it needs servicing. Can I remove that warning light using the tazer mini? Will that be under performance? Thanks in advance.
We set tire pressure warning at 30 psi. For street tire pressures we were running them at 35 psi. The Patagonias need to be ran at a higher pressure to keep them on the crown.
Horrible product in a JL/JT diesel. 4 visits to the dealer to clear codes and limp mode when it goes down. Seems as though others with non diesel vehicles are happy but my experience has been horrible. Zautomotive said to bad to sad. No refunds.
Have you heard anything about Tazers and the FCA warranty being possibly compromised? I'd like to purchase a Tazer Lite only to disable the auto start/stop function. However, I have a 7 year extended warranty and don't want to risk voiding it with all the electronics going on with these newer JL's.

@@northridgenation anytime you unmarry it resets to factory settings. I removed mine, without unmarrying and plugging back into the GSW. You lose some functions, but the speedometer, etc. stay corrected for tires, etc. and you can have it serviced.

That is a new feature with the Tazers, so far, we've been hearing good reports.

Do dealers knit pick and void Warranty when using this?

Yes, you can toggle the computer to be set for LED lights.

Unfortunately we haven't found out how to do that either. That is a PITA for sure.
Just being able to set the license plate lights to turn off when in reverse, not blinding the backup camera at night a is worth a quarter of the cost.

The only way to get the transmission back into the power band is to regear. For 37s, 4.88 gears will fit the bill perfectly.
@@northridgenation I have 5.13s so you saying 4.88 should have been the choice? To get back into stock shifting etc…tazer or superchip can’t fix that?

You would use the Tazer to connect through the "Radio Sub-menu" to connect to a front camera or other video camera and to install off-road pages.

You said you don't have tpms sensor, what about the tires pressure on your tires, is this tmps sensor or just tires pressure?
When we went to the 40s, we left the tire pressure monitoring sensors out.

Yes.
Where is the Stop/Start mod function?
The Tazer will automatically remember your last Start/Stop setting.
Set it with your factory ASS button on the dash and it will remember.

There was a definite improvement in the transmission shift points, those 40s are big and you could tell right away.

So when you put the hood alarm on ....will it set off vehicle alarm when someone opens the hood ? If so, its worth it just for that!

Nothing else, the Tazer plugs into the SGW plugs and you are ready to program it.

You can only change the gear ratio AFTER you have had new gears installed. You CANNOT make 373's think they are 410's or 488's.......KABOOM!!!

It's under the LIVE menu, so once you have the engine running, you scroll through the functions to find the Start/Stop and turn it off.

Do you need to "Marry" every time you make an adjustment on the Tazer, or only when you first install it?
You only need to marry it when you first install it. You do need to reboot it after you make any changes.
