@@Victini7472 The Official music Video is an animated story about Suicide. The Girl in the Video is symbolizing Death. Well the lyric is about Depresion and Suicide
first of all, it is hilarious that you accidentally chose a fanmade MV instead of the original one XD but towards the end it is really interesting to hear you talk about the modulation down, because if you listen to the lyrics it absolutely makes sense because they are depressing af. so in the vein of textpainting it is kind of a genious move, and the sinking feeling, "the feeling of the rug pulled out from under you" is exactly that is happening in the lyrics. It's bittersweet and kind of embracing that sinking feeling, and it is crazy that you get exactly the same thing from the music. Man music is so cool :3 also I'm new here and appreciate how beginner friendly your explanations of music theory are and just the vibes in general :)
@@itsFoxx_ well no one's forcing you to you clown xD no need to announce it, you're free to choose what media/content consume, I promise I won't be hurt by your decision Hope you have nice day :D
If you're Consfused when listening to Yoasobi when you don't speak japanese. don't worry. just listen to the music and then read the lyric translation After, it will make the Chord transition from major to minor make much more sense !!
This channel is exactly what I always wanted! Someone who is knowledgeable about music but who can also explain it in an easy way so I can understand it and kinda learn some music theory at the same time. Don't be afraid to go even deeper and/or making longer videos, rewinding the song, etc. because that's exactly why we're all here. Keep up the great work!
Very interesting analysis, thank you! It's always facinating to learn that J-Pop has so many jazz influences. I don't know if you already reacted to something from Tsukuyomi, but they have some kind of similiar vibe to Yoasobi so you might enjoy their stuff as well. I especially like their song "Absoltue zero".
1:27 dean has finally become an npc the prophecy has spoken fr ok but on a serious note this song slaps like HOLY SHIT i mean its yoasobi so ofc but still
Just discover your channel on breaking down j-pop and its fantastic that you breaking every chord and explain with theories! I recommend checking out - Official Hige Dandism's "Cry Baby" as the song has lots of key changes, interested to see how you analyse on the song!
The song becomes a masterpiece once you associate it with the theme of the lyrics. It's just way way way darker than anything the music mentions. Those sudden creepy chord progression just makes sense when you know the lyrics..
Lmao it's funny you thought this was the official video, the actual official video has now over 200M views but it has been shadowbanned form TH-cam, so now you can only find it by going to their channel. The video you watched is a fan video by a channel called TheAnimeMen, Ayase (the guy from Yoasobi) himself commented on it, they actually later got to do a fun interview with them
Yo, I really need you to read the lyrics of yoasobi's songs. And do this music theory at the same time or something. It shows you why they go up and down so much in their songs. 🤣🤣🤣 you laughing at then in the rips is a bit ironic 😂😅😂
It is not a double syicide it is only his suicide. The girl is a representation of his depresion. It is a fairly short story and she is the grim reaper.
Please react royal road progression, this why jpop music so interesting and always good, western song always using the same chord many many time and so boring to hear.
AM I REALLY THAT BIG OF AN IDIOT?
I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS WASN"T THE OFFICIAL VIDEO. WOW.
😂
LOL! Understandable, the official video was shadowbanned so ye
sorry dean but that's the L of the day fr /lh

When you react to the anime men instead of yaosobi: 😳
The good thing is that the Anime Men video arguably does a better job of depicting the somber and dark story more than the original one
@@k-master973what is dark and somber about this? the og vid is like restricted by youtube cause its them jumping off a roof this is ppl dancing no?
@@fingreola2835 you should see the english translation of the song, maybe they meant about that dark meaning present withing the lyrics of this song.

The Key sounds like from the Night Dancer by Imase. Very magical and always reminiscing
