We went to the Rhythms of the Night show halfway through our stay in 5he Puerto Vallarta area in mid April. Watching this video brought back some pleasant memories. On the boat trip you mention “ snacks “ and there were none on our trip over to the private beach. The buffet certainly wasn’t first class cuisine but I found the selection pretty good and everything I chose was delicious. The walk to the bathrooms is a bit of a hike. I would strongly suggest that anyone with moderate walking disabilities to pass on this or at least be aware. The seating in the amphitheater area is exactly as you mentioned it is comfortable enough although the “ benches” are pretty high ( I’m 6 foot 2 ). Definitely wear casual but I would suggest longer than knee length pants and a “ warm “ tee shirt as well as bringing @light sweater for later. I took bug spray but it stayed in my bag. The cost as of April 19th 2024 was quite a bi5 higher than $100 USD and with Canadian Exchange the bill was over $400 for the both of us. The 35 peso dock fee was collected on arrival at the Marina but there was also another fee ( Government fee???) for about $30 each. I heard you can pre-book online and save $25 or $30 per person. Transportation back to your resort by “ cab “ was a bit of an experience but we got back to our hotel after 3 stops to drop off other people because we chose to get on the shuttle bus type cab.
We went a couple of years ago. Went two different times for the day trip and once for the night dinner show. Honestly would love to do the dinner show again. It was awesome.
We've been 3 times now in the last 2 years and I've enjoyed it every time. I can see from your video the "sailing home" crew was doing a Kiss tribute, when we went in Feb it was more general rock and roll and the time before that it was a Jackson 5 tribute. Good to see they're keeping it fresh every time. Glad to see you'll be posting more MX videos again, nothing wrong with Canada but my heart has been bleeding red, white and green since our move to Bucerias. :-)
OK, we've been going to the ROTN show for about 15 years and when we bring guests with us to PV, we usually bring them to see the show. However, we actually prefer the show before the New York Cirque Du Soleil crew took over. They canned the entire live band, so it's virtually all recorded music now with a few drums here and there. The original show was more of a traditional Mexican story and it was wonderful. Now, it's mainly acrobats jumping in the air and guys throwing fire around. The cast is very good at what they do, so if you prefer that kind of a razzle dazzle, glitzy style show, you'll love this as most tourists do.
@@alysmalls Here's a bit of the old show. The new one is nice, but this one has a little more class than just acrobats flying around. th-cam.com/video/mkc67SiNNd8/w-d-xo.html
Great video. We went and saw this show and thought it was absolutely fantastic, right from the boat ride getting there to the dinner and the show and the boat ride back. Well worth it
It looks amazing! I see you said it was $100 a person but I’m only finding it for $159. Do you have a website or link that is $100 or should I wait for it to get a little closer to the actual date to purchase. Also what are your thoughts of a proposal on the island? I saw some hearts in the sand that looked like a fabulous spot!
The price has gone up, but if you go to Vallarta-Adventures and book ahead of time, it is now $130, instead of $185. We are going there the beginning of March 2024@@brooky4205
There are 2 departure times, I recommend check the Vallarta Adventures website for this info, as it can change. I believe we left at 5:30pm, we arrive 45 minutes prior to that
I have been waiting for you to get back to Mexico. Leaving tomorrow for Nuevo Vallarta Marina staying at the Hotel Marina Bandaras Suites close to where you departed. Rhythms of the Night is the best tour in Puerto Vallarta.
No. You'll have to find your way (taxi/Uber) to the Vallarta Adventures office in either the Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Vallarta Marina (purchase your ticket to whichever you are closest to). At the end of the night they do arrange for transportation back to your hotel, but you pay for this separate
Hey! I’m Abby I am going to PV Monday for my bday & I was wondering what is the difference when you’re signing up to book with Nuevo Vallarta & puerto Vallarta?
How was the accessibility? Level or paved walkways? Edit: I attended the show with my 90 y/o aunt. She is very mobile and healthy. If she had known that the pathways were steep, she wouldn't have gone. Also, the restrooms are a good distance from the dining area. The staff is incredible and helped her maneuver up the hill to the show. Without them, she wouldn't have made it. Also, your mobility will be tested on the boat ride. The restrooms are below deck. Again the staff was very helpful and kind.
After 9 visits to PVR, I finally saw rhythms of the night this feb. Sorry it was a huge let down for me! The horrible boat ride was almost an hour. The drinks were horrible and several drunken idiots were obnoxious. We were starving so we’re disappointed to know we see the show first so was another 90 ish minutes until we eat. The food was decent but had like 45 min to eat/drink to get back on boat. The hour ride back was just as horrible as the ride there. The show itself was entertaining but soooooo not worth the 2 hour boat ride round trip there. We paid $125 usd for it w/open bar, we felt ripped off!
I'm not sure why so many youtubers who review the Rhythms of the Night excursion refer to Las Caletas where it is staged as an island. Las Caletas is NOT an island! It's a secluded beach south of Puerto Vallarta inaccesible by road. We all have google maps on our smartphones don't we?? LOL

Awesome video Aly! Thanks for sharing your experience. We are looking forward to checking it out this summer on our cruise!

Good to know, because I'm definitely planning to go again this coming November. I'm curious what the boat ride back will be this time!
Awesome job.. yes we have seen the show several times never gets old. The day trip is awesome too see you in Bucerias!
What month did you go there?
Thank you! Very helpful!❤
Excellent show! The entire experience was awesome!!
I was in PV in April of 2023 and I went to that show/dinner. I thought the food was great and the show was amazing in my opinion!
Thank you sooooo much for this video! I will buy tickets for my boyfriend's b-day and it seems completely worth it!
Thanks for the info . I’m taking someone on a wheelchair to PV .. now I know what to expect
Where did you bought the tickets specifically??
I was their this past Saturday. It was great

How interesting, I'll have to see if I can find any old youtube videos with the older crew. I'm curious now

Thanks for posting that. I was going to go there in a few weeks... I'll skip it now and find something else.
Great video. We went and saw this show and thought it was absolutely fantastic, right from the boat ride getting there to the dinner and the show and the boat ride back. Well worth it
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was totally worth it, in my opinion! We booked late, so paid more. But even then it was still an awesome outing.
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video Aly! From what I see, I think the $100 a person is worth the price since it includes the show, dinner & drinks! Loved that bamboo jungle!
Glad you enjoyed!
And boat rides!

Where'd did you get the tickets for 100? Is it better to buy while their or online at vallarta adventures?

Thanks for the information. Will deconstruct do it next time I'm there. God willing in Thanksgiving 😊
Thank you, Aly, for sharing this beautiness in 60fps ;)
Thanks Andy ;)
What time does the boat leave to the island? Or what time should you be there at the check in?

Awesome! My next batch of videos will be Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas :) I hope you have a great trip
@@alysmalls Thanks, you too.
Check out my videos too please. They are not as good as yours but I am trying.
Do they offer transportation from hotels to the vallarta adventure deparure point? Where we check in? or do we need our own car/Uber to arrive?

Hey! I’m Abby I am going to PV Monday for my bday & I was wondering what is the difference when you’re signing up to book with Nuevo Vallarta & puerto Vallarta?
There's no difference, it just depends which Marina you want to leave from (whichever your hotel is closest to)
Was there a bathroom in the boat? Thank you! Enjoyed the video!
Yes!
@@alysmalls Thank you!
Any other bathrooms ?
Is this kid friendly?

not the most accessible location. walkways are not paved, but packed sand
Does this include dinner?
Yes
when we went a guy fell off the cliff at dinner, gotta watch that open bar 😮
Great video and tips! Were alcoholic drinks at the dinner also included? or just on the boat?
Yes, basic alcoholic drinks were also included with dinner (beer, wine, margaritas, etc)
Is paying for the “vip” worth it?
I don't think so
I can’t believe they make you pay a $1.50 dock fee after paying $200 to go. That’s crazy
They do help with those who need assistance in a wheelchair.
