Colonial? Nah. Southern Spanish like Andalusian? Yes. ;)
Will do! Thanks Aly ❤️
My wife and I have been to PV over 30 times and we are enamored with this amazing city. I have watched hundreds of PV videos and your video is a very well done. It showcases many of the wonderful things to do there. Great job!
Thanks Ed!
As a Mexican living in the US and thankful for the opportunities received here I get happy seeing videos such as this one here. I'm glad people are enjoying my country as much as I do 😊
I'm from the U.S. and love Mexico and it's people
The botanical garden tour is great. Loved this place, the whole tour and its stops were great. Highly recommend
Great job.. always love Bucerias. Especially Delrado
I have a boat tourism business here for private group tours (Boca Boat Tours), and agree with many of your choices. There is much more to the southern shores than Yelapa. There are Boca de Tomatlan, Las Animas, Quimixto, Majahuitas, Los Arcos, waterfalls, horseback riding, and more. The area offers so much beauty, fun, and life-long memories!
This is an amazing video of my favorite place in the world. You gave viewers a chance to see how truly magical a place it is and it is filled with lots of things to do. Plus, beautifully filmed.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. God bless your heart 💜
Incredibly helpful thank you
You really sold me 😍😍😍 I will be planning a trip to Vallarta this summer now 🇲🇽

Very nice video, full of important info and beautiful scenery and PV culture. Perhaps you'll consider including USD cost when mentioning the entertainment options. 🤩

Thank you! And happy anniversary!
Vanderfull video!
Thank you :)
Aly thank you for these amazing videos we are planning on going this summer ☀️.. with my family. Any recommendations on beach front hotel? In the zona romantic.?
Wife and I love Bucerias and Punta de Mita areas and have been visiting there for about 13 years… We usually stay at Grand Palladium Vallarta as it’s located on one of the areas best surf breaks, Punta Burros. Be well, 😎🤙
Palladium Vallarta is fantastic! I have a video of it actually. It's a nice spot
cat park is my number one destination when visit :)
This is my favorite place to live. Been down here in Mexico for 18 years now and 7 of those were in Vallarta. Going back in 19 days for a vacation at Hotel Mio Vallarta. Everybody who comes to Mexico must go to PV for a real Mexican vacation or a great place to live. Soy loco por tacos de birreria.
Also crazy for Birria tacos, had so many on this past trip. Have you stayed at Hotel Mio before? I've been wanting to check it out
@@alysmalls My first time there. checking in 17 - 22. I will post a video of there a few days after... Did you see my video from here In Tepotzotlan of the day of the dead?
Next time you are here, look us up Aly!
You can find our blue cards and stickers all over Vallarta centro these days, and at the tourist stands on the Malecon (www too). We offer free help in english from a local number while in Vallarta. We would love to hang with you and show you a bunch of new things to do here and people you should get to know.
love the video girl!
Darn, i just left Vallarta 2 days ago! Was there for 3 weeks. Should be back in March, I'll definitely get in touch with you. Thanks for watching :)
@@alysmalls yeah, you have the bug, you will be back over and over :D Great videos!
Any suggestion on deep sea fishing in PV
Hi Aly, I am from Ontario Canada and we are thinking of vacationing there. Love your video it was very informative. Maybe you can include any price details in Mexican and US dollars (i.e. food, hotels and excursions) Keep up the great work.
Hey there! Thanks for watching - I have a new video coming out soon which will be a first timer's guide to Puerto Vallarta, where I cover how much things cost. Stay tuned :)
@@alysmalls that would be great. Looking forward to it.
The video is now up if you haven't seen it yet!
If you are visiting on a cruise what would you recommend? Great video.
Find a good coffee spot, go for birria tacos if you didn't eat breakfast on the ship, hike to Mirador Cerro de la Cruz for an awesome view, walk along the malecon to the rio cuale market, do some shopping there, make your way into the romantic zone for an early happy hour drink (I like Arriba) and try some street tacos
How do retirees and expats move there full-time in the extremely hot summer months? Can older people who can't do alot of climbing and walking find things to enjoy in that Zona Romantica area described so beautifully in the video? Do you pay in pesos at that beautiful island market in the river?
Eat, eat, eat, eat, and eat
I'll be out there in Nov! Would you say the water/beaches in PVR are clean? We'll be in Sayulita and I hear the main beach is quite dirty! Any beaches you would highly recommend for swimming?
Hi Aly, do you remember the name of the tequila distillery you visited?
*Great video. A lot of the Other videos are dull. Yours has good ideas of places to visit & things to do. Just my vibe & taste! What is the name of the Hot Springs place??*
nuevo ixtlan - I have a full video of the hot springs on my channel if you're interested :)
Fun facts: The sleepy fishing village of Puerto Vallarta rapidly became an American tourist vacation hot-spot after the media hype that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor were secretly having an affair while Burton was there filming "The Night of the Iguana". (Pretty cool movie for black and white) Burton was married to another famous star at the time! Also, in 1995 a large earthquake hit PV and toppled the crown off of the famous church in town. Rumor has it that Ms. Taylor paid to have it rebuilt and the cross at the top is made of designer crystal.. Parts of "Predator" were also filmed there and a restaurant with cliff divers is dedicated to celebrating that fact at Mismaloya. (South of the city in the jungle) The Barcelo hotel in Mismaloya was formerly called the "la Jolla de Mismaloya" and after researching it's meaning I was delighted to learn that it literally means "The caves where they catch fish with the hands" referencing "los Arcos" (Another popular attraction south of the city)
Hello again Aly. just a quick question for you; Puerto Vallarta or Cabo? which one is your number one preference :)
Puerto Vallarta has my vote 👍
Cabo and Cancun are no match for Vallarta. If you like friendly, safe, and full of real people living real lives! Aly nailed it.
Hi Aly, I'm thinking of going to the Grand Palladium (I watched your video), I'm on my own so do you think it would be safe and also are there lots of things to do in close proximity to the hotel? Would really appreciate your advice. Thanks, Kathi
Very safe and you'll have to take a taxi from the hotel, but places like Sayulita and Bucerias aren't very far
Did you have any trouble bringing a drone into the country? I’ve heard a lot of people say that you can’t. Thanks, great video!
No issue
Beautiful and informative. If I might be staying at Riu Vallarta all inclusive resort, how do I get to all these lovely areas? Do I take a taxi or bus?
I never been to PV, unsure if I can manage flying there and getting Air BnB instead of the flight and all inclusive resort.
You can take taxi, Uber or bus to most places
Aly, great video. We are going to PV for the first time in 4 weeks. Where is the taco stand you are at that is at 2:46? Because you mentioned the names of the next two I was able to find them on a map.
Hi Grant, it's at the corner of the 200 highway southbound and Francisco Madero - all the details are in my blog post here, which outlines my 12 favorite taco spots: likewhereyouregoing.com/best-tacos-in-puerto-vallarta/ enjoy your trip!
@@alysmalls Your linked blog post is incredible! You have given me lots to read. Even though my degree is in geography and I taught geography for 33 years I'm doubting my ability to read a map as I'm not finding the corner. I found Fco Medero but it is nowhere near 200. I found an Oxxo near Fco Medina - it that it? If not can you give me a place nearby that I can find on Google maps? Thanks
@@grantw7 it's across from the restaurant called Martini en Fuego Grill Restaurant (on google maps). Right in front of the OXXO on the corner
@@alysmalls Of course it is! I can't believe I missed that. Thanks.
Aly, how often do you travel to the Bay? Do you prefer PV or Bucerías?
Thanks
3 times per year. I like both equally for different reasons. We usually start in Bucerias for some chill beach & pool time, and then end in PV for a livelier atmosphere
Is the Botanical Gardens worth seeing in March or all the flowers gone? Will be in PV March 2025.
Any chance you remember which Hotel Posada this juice stand is at? I googled it and I see 3 hotel posadas (de roger, “lily”, and rio Cuale.)
Lily!!
What is the name of the hotel with the fresh squeezed juice? I have to try that!
Hotel Posada Lily!
45 retired Canadian
Can u show me around:) getting my visa
Is there good hiking or mountain bike trails?
Aly, where and how to get to the natural hot spring? TIA
Everything about the hot springs is in this video: th-cam.com/video/tEiaDF_uA_c/w-d-xo.html
Hello, Question do you recommend getting a car or just catching a taxis to these places? Thanks
We used a taxi or Uber to get to all these places
Where are the hot springs located?
about 1.5 hours north - Nuevo Ixtlan on google maps. Here's the full video about them: th-cam.com/video/tEiaDF_uA_c/w-d-xo.html
Do you have IG or somewhere I can PM you about one of the tours?
Yes, my IG is in my profile banner
Did you organise all your trip yourself?
Yes
Are you a Canuck? Quebequase?
Where those $2 tacos barking? 😂
