@@BrighterwithHerbert I`m reckoning that it`ll be 8-10th or more of the fully operational version of Star Ship gen 1 or 2 for a crewed fly-by mission to mars then in that same year it`ll be 4-5 non-crewed landing/return missions than manned/land/no ship exit/return progressing to manned/ship exit/return...

he has balance, focus, goals and a plan to improve life in general ...the skill sets to achieve all that .... or teams up with the people who do ... determination and the ability to overcome difficulties/mistakes/problems ... not to mention a fairly decent parent and business person ... not afraid to admit he is not perfect/ or has weaknesses ... etc etc encourages/challenges others to be their best... has a sense of humor ... in spite of his warts .... has pushed (is pushing) forward to achieve something that is meaningful for himself, his family and people in general etc ... if Isaac Asimov had been a businessman (I-robot/the Foundation Trilogy) he might have been a little like Elon - God Bless !

Ellie: "He didn't originally set out with this idea to go to Mars"
Yes he did Ellie, that was his primary motivation for rocket company.
He conceived the idea of SpaceX on the plane journey home from Russia where he had intended to buy ICB's to send a greenhouse to Mars and reinvigorate interest in going there so NASA would get funding to do so.

    PROPER ENGLISH
    Dear Ellie in Space,
Say "Joining HERBERT AND ME", not "'Herbert and I".
i love the videos of people who are honest and knowledgeable, e.g., like Sandy Monroe and Brian White.
I do not know why your videos are also my favorites. It's probably because of your childlike honesty, and because both of us love Elon Musk and his accomplishments.
I love Elon because he has been doing his best to help life outlast our planet. Has any other person, god or "savior" who has been worshipped by mankind ever done more?
When people say that Elon is not perfect, I wonder why. Please explain what you mean.
Elon and my dogs are spiritually PERFECT. I can't imagine any person being more perfect than they are.
This May 11, 2024 comment is about the video called "EXCLUSIVE: Don’t BET Against Tesla and SpaceX w/ Ellie in Space",

Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Walking, running, cycling, ebikes, escooters, electric buses, electric trams and open green spaces are all parts of great cities and great mobility options.

@@BamaBeachTrading Safe protected separated areas and trails allow for older adults and children to ride bicycles safely. This takes some cars off the road and reduces congestion making more room and less traffic for people that want or need to use their cars. It is better for everyone.

It's doubtful robotaxis will eliminate or reduce congestion on our highways. Americans will not accept losing their freedom to travel when and where they want to go. The only place public transportation might be accepted is in downtown city environments but only after decades of infrastructure and forced use.

@ellieinspace can you please provide your proof that SpaceX is using the Cybertruck's stainless 30X? Remember during that manufacturing tour they revealed they could not form it except for using the "airbender" brake (less than 45 degrees and just a straight line). Maybe if they skipped the work-hardening process and left it austenitic...but still hard to believe. And yes, I know Elon did say this, but sometimes he stretches the truth ;) Also from all cameras watching the Starship ring production I know we saw a "304" on one of the tags. Please explain, this is a big deal. Thanks! Great job as always Herbert!

But since you know its entirely funded by SpaceX then Im sure you will want to let NASA know they are down $2.9 million unnecessarily. Maybe actually find out about the subject before replying to me huh?
