Legit when i played it, I was so annoyed cause I kept thinking I was my goat Ren and tryna help people, but nah I'm a emo kid named makoto who keeps on encouraging stupid people
It kinda follows the philosophy that telling others they are wrong will only make them more self assured, people surround themselves with like minded people which creates a echo chamber, ungrounded by reality. by instead enabling them they might see the error of their way when consequences start piling up, tho this tactic relay on a inert level of introspective and karma that ain’t reliable factors
it didn't really feel like gaslighting, most of it was just a teacher venting to her student (still pretty unprofessional) but the romance part actually just, straight up came outta nowhere. That's actually how all the adult characters in p5 feels with their romances ngl.
The funniest part is that according to Ryoji, you totally can use the Evoker to summon a Persona irl. That means Junpei went out and got a real gun some way and somehow😂😂😂
