Kampung Baru is a traditional village in Kuala Lumpur city centre, where you can enjoy a day of strolling around wooden stilt homes and coconut and banana trees, against a backdrop of the city’s modern skyscrapers. Developed by the British in the 1890s, this unique landscape is heavily populated by the Malay community, offering visitors a glimpse of the traditional lifestyle that’s more commonly found in Malaysia’s rural states.

Kampung ni takkan pernah hilang kerana kampung ni dah berdiri lama sejak jaman dulu dulu macam kampung aku dekat jakarta rumah dibina bagus dekat kampung aku tapi kerita tak bisa masuk kerana jalan tak lebar

This could be KL's very own Kpg Morten . Maybe the Ministry of tourism should negotiate with the villagers concern . There must have a proper parking , relocation of stalls , renovate run down houses , upgrading the road and many more or else it'll be an eyesore for KL .
Yes. However I dont think the village needs a major built over. Just some slight revamp/restructuring on the public amenities would be sufficient. It somehow feels special to have a traditional village in the middle of an advance city 😉

mlm ni aku balik kg baru ku utk lepak2 mlm tahun baru sbb dah lama tak singgah kg baru asik lalu je jln tun razak tapi tak masuk pun kg baru..

ya tadi jam 1 pagi baru smpi rumah,
dari pukul 11mlm round town dgn anak2 dan isteri,
berlegar legar dlm keta pusing town,
kg baru, KLCC, KL Tower, Dataran, Doraisamy..
tapi nak mkn je tak dpt sbb terlupa PKP ni kedai mkn tutup pukul 12mlm,
pas tu pelan2 balik rumah..
tu shj kita org satu family buat tadi pusing2 town je.. bye 2020 welcome 2021 👋🏼😊😅
Simply upgrading all the existing corrugated roofs to lightweight clay tiles ( Peranakan ), will add a lot of character and texture to Kampung Baru.

Hope this place can be renewed soon, it's an eye sore in the middle of a mega city.
Hmm.. I have different opinion here. It feels unique to have such an ambient village at the center of a busy city.. Perhaps some minor upgrade or revamp on the area would be ideal enough 😉
Nope, its a tourism spot of KL..few tourist already visit and they said only good things about Kg Baru..lets not be a toxic in this multiracial society ya

Ada rumah sewa kosong tak dekat situ kalau ada rumah sewa kosong saya nak saya tengah cari rumah sewa dekat Klang dekat Kapar tapi tak ada lagi dapat kat Jeram tak ada lagi dapat rumah sewa Kalau ada Encik Tolong bagi tahu dengan saya sebab saya nak sewa rumah lah pasal nak pindah dengan family saya okeylah saya tanya saja kalau ada kalau
