You completely missed that you can actually coil tap the uptown strat with push pull pots (on the tone controls if i'm not mistaken). It adds a LOT of extra tonal capability, opens it up a lot
@@benlogan430 These are true taps, not just dropping a coil. If you watch Trogly's review, the taps only lose about 1/3 of their output. That bridge pickup is really hot too, about twice as hot as the neck pickup.
Yeah but I think if anyone is interested in the guitar they'll find out themselves... but having researched the guitar already, I also thought it was a bit weird that they didn't demonstrate it
Lee's guitar playing ability follows the arc of Superman's superpowers. when we were first introduced he could just jump over a building or outrun a train, but now he's time travelling and shooting lasers.
Whenever I think I'm too old to learn to play the guitar better I remember Lee's probably 10 years older than me and learning at an insane rate while running a business and being a dad...
@@anxiousmindmusic I think its Pete making Lee's playing better , when I first started way back in the 80s I was going to give up within six months , then my sisters best friends boyfriend played in a band , I started hanging out with them and getting lessons and my playing just went through the roof. If you get the chance hang out and jam with better players , it rubs off on you. Most important thing is do not get into bad habits when you first start playing.
Jaming along great players like Pete and supported by good teacher like Justin and anyone can achieve that level... Finding good jaming bud as the difficult part tho ...
For those wondering why people don’t like the wide range humbuckers, they’re essentially just regular humbuckers in the bigger wide range cover. Look up DylanTalksTones video on wide range humbuckers.
Unbelievable how the Cap has progressed. He's transcended to the level where you can't really be surprised by how tasteful his licks are now: it's expected.
I would nearly KILL for one of those Uptown Strats! Most of the Parallel Universe stuff has been a tad too quirky for my tastes, or quirky in the wrong directions. This one is nearly perfect. I could wish for the Strat belly cut, and I might be interesting in a Floyd version; the idea of a Bigsby, however, strikes me as "Meh!" A TOM (Adjust-O-Matic) bridge with a stoptail might be really good, too. Out of all the "mashup" style guitars that Fender has done for the last few years, this one in particular screams for regular production and for expansion into the Squier realm, where I'm sure it would prove really popular. If Fender doesn't see it that way, I may try to crib my own together -- less the spectacular finish, of course!
I've been watching the lessons that Lee did with Justin and the ones with Pete and Ariel before that while hoping to get some tips to up my guitar playing as well. The captain has come such a great long way in terms of confidence and his playing!
@@Sebastianvgo You can find them sequenced out on the Justin guitar website (you may want to search for rut busters or the captains privates). And the lessons with Pete and Ariel can be found if you scroll back to late 2017 on the Andertons youtube channel.
The parallel universe series is my favorite line of guitars in a while. Cool ideas that are well made. Just hope Fender keeps it going so I can afford a model someday 😂
Or at the very least make cheaper fender ones. Which would actually be pretty cool, as they seem to just make them squire versions after they've made high end fender ones, not to say they aren't good (because squires can be great) but it would be nice to have an in-between.
It would be nice if they threw a few of these to lefty’s also. I’m not saying make thousands of them, but damn Fender, besides a Cobain or a Hendrix artist guitar comes in a lefty. The other thousand of different artists they’re giving guitars to are only right handed. You’d think they’d make just a few even, but nah...take your butterscotch and blonde Tele and be happy you got that if you’re a lefty. 😤
This is my dream guitar! I'm primarily a Las Paul man, I like humbuckers, but I like the whammy bar and just the look of a Strat...and thus is the perfect combination.
This is my new favourite channel on TH-cam... and i'm really annoyed at myself for only discovering it about 2 months ago... but at least that much good came from 2020! Rock on guys!
I look forward to your jams more than the actual review of the products , is that bad ? Any idea where I can get backing tracks off either Lee or Pete ?
Now that is a cool strat! I’d prefer it with a Hardtail, but I know it’s not about me all the time. Then I remembered I can just block the trem and change to black and silver top/top hat knobs and my perfect strat!!! A Sunday post made my day! Thankie...
Good grief. That thing sounds SICK. Trogly just reviewed one of these and also gave it a thumbs up. Damn it all to hell. I just can't buy another guitar. I'm already in for two in the last month (a Les Paul Special Tribute P-90 and a Vintera Road Worn '60s Strat). I need to slow down lest the wife evict me.
Pete's playing reminds me a lot of Mark Knopfler, because of the dynamics, and having phrases of a few notes followed up by long sustained notes and silences
6:20 is the perfect explanation of a test bench. You put the item being tested in use with other items that are the best in those fields to see how it interacts with those things. If the guitar was actually bad it would just suck on a good amp and sound even worse on a bad amp lol. But people just don’t understand that I guess 🤷🏽♂️
Its Chewsday init? That Uptown Strat is my favorite Strat of them all, double hums, individual Vom/Tone controls, a faint paintjob showing the grain, Fender needs to keep this and the Spark-o-Matic Jazzmaster around those are my 2 favs.
I like this Les Strat.
Me too.
Same here.
Stratopaul lol
It's like a Fender Fanboy REALLY wants a LP. But he's afraid his friends will shun him if he buys one.
Lespaulocaster
You completely missed that you can actually coil tap the uptown strat with push pull pots (on the tone controls if i'm not mistaken). It adds a LOT of extra tonal capability, opens it up a lot
Indeed so. Surely that's one of the main features of this guitar 🤔
But I'll stick with my Les Paul's for now.
Cheers chaps 🎸🎸
When will they finally add triple push/pull knobs or more so we could have a bad version of every pickup in a single guitar?!?!?
@@benlogan430 These are true taps, not just dropping a coil. If you watch Trogly's review, the taps only lose about 1/3 of their output. That bridge pickup is really hot too, about twice as hot as the neck pickup.

Lee isn’t just jamming or riffing or noodling anymore, he’s making MUSIC, and it sounds damn good.
That last minute or so of the intro jam just killed.
He's playing like he has a plan.
That's because it's no longer Chappers - its Maestro Danish Pete teaching Lee with every jam.
Some day I wish to ascend to the level of Blues Dad that The Captain has achieved
Eevee P keep on watching the videos. I think you can achieve this.
Me too, maybe in a parallel universe...
Jaming along great players like Pete and supported by good teacher like Justin and anyone can achieve that level... Finding good jaming bud as the difficult part tho ...
and if you did....try to ascend higher to the Blues Big Daddy aka Pete Honore...dang these two are killing it
I'm not even a dad and I'd be thrilled
That Uptown Strat is a thing of beauty! I really hope they make it a longer term model.
The Troublemaker and the Uptown are my favourites out of those line of guitars.
Exit jam one of the best ever... exceptional guys
I think there is a lot of potential with those wide range humbuckers.
Fifties Modified Tele
Which "them"? And why no likey?
Nice licks Lee

It's because he is playing regularly with Danish Pete.
This is why Fender is great.

When you want a humbucking strat but don't want a superstrat.
One of Pete's BEST SOLOS!! WOW!
Love the parallel universe offerings, these are just gorgeous!.. and Captain!! Wow, playing great!!
I hope they bring these back out one day.
I've been watching the lessons that Lee did with Justin and the ones with Pete and Ariel before that while hoping to get some tips to up my guitar playing as well. The captain has come such a great long way in terms of confidence and his playing!
Where can I find those?

It’s Always Good To Listen To You Guys While On Lunch Break At Work It Just Makes The Day Better 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Captain's guitar playing is stunning. Proud to think I was around when he was a pup.
This video made me smile.....A lot. Killed it boys. Thank you.
Good job Pete and captain. Thank you Andertons!
The parallel universe series is my favorite line of guitars in a while. Cool ideas that are well made. Just hope Fender keeps it going so I can afford a model someday 😂
That uptown Strat is one seriously great sounding Fender. Total mojo.
Quite simply love all three of those Parallel Universe models you have there. Loving the sound of that Uptown.
They really should Squier all those quirky guitars.
Or at the very least make cheaper fender ones. Which would actually be pretty cool, as they seem to just make them squire versions after they've made high end fender ones, not to say they aren't good (because squires can be great) but it would be nice to have an in-between.

Your french pronunciation of « pedal » was actually good !! Great video !! cheers from France
That one Pete is playing in the intro looks really sweet! Sounds awesome too
Superb strat ! The white finish is awesome
That uptown strat seems great for some fusion. Assuming the feels is good and all that.
Best sounding Strat Ive Heard
This is my dream guitar! I'm primarily a Las Paul man, I like humbuckers, but I like the whammy bar and just the look of a Strat...and thus is the perfect combination.
I’m amazed at how great of a player Lee has become!
The white Strat sounds like it's got one of those Fernandes Sustainer things built in.
== i cant stand when people use weird effects when all you want is to hear a clean tone
Wow.. Amazing tones guys, fantastic intro
Another epic jam for the ages...
Wish it wasn't so darn expensive
Yeah, I was very excited for it until I saw the price. :-/
Uptown Strat reminds me of Money for Nothing sound (:
Killer tones from all 3 guitars!
Keep it up, guys!
Up townSstrat looks & sounds WICKED! good job Pete!
That was a MAD performance, wow!
I really dig the p90 strat..killer tone great playing.....😎👍👍
That uptown Strat is a homerun now make one in the Mexican factory.
or china then it could compete with a epiphone les paul
man that guitar is wonderful. Uptown Strat.
That Uptown is spectacular - I gotta get me one !!
How different is this to the Troublemaker Tele? Is it just the same thing with a trem and strat body?
Love the sounds that Pete is getting out of the uptown funky-wunk strat. ❤️😎
man o man that strat paul is FANtastic!!!
What an intro jam!
Captain Lee and Danish Pete sure could throw an album at my face, I surely would buy it.
That feedback from Pete is immense!! Great sounding guitar!
Only heard that howl from unpotted pu's. Surely Fender aren't doing that, so wonder what's the secret of the new "imitation wide-range" pu's?
listening to the captain and pete jamming is my breakfast
these jams are gold
That last jam?! Holy moly. That was some wicked brilliant screaming guitar genius.
This is my new favourite channel on TH-cam... and i'm really annoyed at myself for only discovering it about 2 months ago... but at least that much good came from 2020! Rock on guys!
If they offered that uptown strat in a flat daphne blue I’d have one so quick it would make your head spin. Killer sounding guitar.
Humbuckers in the static white look like ones in my old 1970 Thinline, they sounded gorgeous.
If I was in the UK, within 100 miles of Andertons, I would be at your store every day. You guys are great....OH! and I'd get one of those uptowns!
I look forward to your jams more than the actual review of the products , is that bad ? Any idea where I can get backing tracks off either Lee or Pete ?
I’d thrown some coin down for that!
uptown strat is amazing wow
Good day to you both....coffee cups up...cheers.
Now that is a cool strat! I’d prefer it with a Hardtail, but I know it’s not about me all the time. Then I remembered I can just block the trem and change to black and silver top/top hat knobs and my perfect strat!!! A Sunday post made my day! Thankie...
Pete got the same feedback note as the intro to UFO's Let it Roll. Cool!! 😎
that Uptown Strat is the first new production fender I have wanted in a long time.
Oh my! I love this STRAT!
Ok Pete’s strat actually looks freak’n badass!!!!!
That headstock has given me a hernia.
Finally, the stratopaul
With those pickups the 2 point trem makes perfect since
A bass in this series would be amazing
Good grief. That thing sounds SICK. Trogly just reviewed one of these and also gave it a thumbs up. Damn it all to hell. I just can't buy another guitar. Absolutely love that strap very nice
Strap....lol
Bjorn Riis would love that Uptown Strat....That TONE is so Airbag....
That uptown Strat will fly it’s completely awesome 😎
Now that was an outro !!!!! 🤘 😎 🤘
Great jams. I loved
Nice to see Pete's playing authentic. :D
Pete has invented a new signature sound - that guitar, amp, pedal combo is amazing!
You got me at block inlays.
I like that tremolo on the uptown strat
Pete's playing reminds me a lot of Mark Knopfler, because of the dynamics, and having phrases of a few notes followed up by long sustained notes and silences
Pete’s playing on that into was just ridiculous!

I'd really like an HH tele with those kind of pickups, kinda like the macmull heartbreaker neo, but at reasonable prices.
I love it and I’m gonna buy one, but I *think* it would look better with a stoptail?
Ending jam reminded me of the Home Depot ad song haha Great guitar! Sounds and looks very unique
Anyone else notice him miss the whammy at 1:34? Great jams as always guys
Awesome jam!
That guitar sings, the only thing wrong is the placement of the volume pots because I like to do the volume swell
That HH strat kinda gives me Pete Thorn signature Suhr vibes, I like it.
The best sounding guitar on the channel.......ever?
As a Bigsby owner, they make nice ornaments, and that's about it.
I really quite like the look of it, pretty classy look and of course, it sound great especially when you guys are playing!
This would be an epic time for an epic deal & video for some EVH gear. RIP Edward.
Beautiful intro, Cap.

That was a great jam at the start.
I really like the sound
Is the tremolo works in the 2 ways?
Push and pull?
That Uptown Strat with a Schaller wrap tail adjustable bridge, for all that mahogany! JMHO.... 8) --gary
Great jam! Pete's guitar is great, whatever it's called.
man the HH strat looks so good
