Funny you mention this. Cirrus gave me four custom luggage tags with my tail number. Although both bags had name tags and red remove before flight tabs. Thanks for watching!!
Never ever leave bags unattended, especially at an airport. Doesn’t need explaining in this crazy World.

Thanks. Private FBO’s are not like the “crazy world” of an airport terminal. Suffice to say, you have to be aware of security measure there… There was only me and six other in the FBO at the time. Of course, you also understand this was the private side of the airport and not the terminal. Its known as a secure area. Bags are generally left unattended in the FBO since its a secure environment. I am not saying its best practices, but saying it happens due to the nature of the area. Only pilots and passenger on private flights are there. Sure, I should not have taken my eyes off of the bag, but I was only sitting about 8 feet away. Certainly close enough to hear the conversation between the passengers and their pilot. We all suffered from inattention.

Congrats again Don! I think removing the 2 cross country seats is a good idea to allow more weight and free up space. I don't think I'll ever have more than 4 or 5 people max. Thanks again for sharing your videos. I still want to fly with you sometime if you're available.
Hi Tom! I also take seat #4 out as well sometimes. The executive seats do not allow seat #4 to form a bench either seats 3 and 5 like in my G1. I also move seat #4 to the mid position so it can recline from time to time.
I am excited to get my schedule sorted so we can fly together.

I had a similar thing happen to me. Lots of pilots and pax in the lobby after an event, a pro active FO grabbing bags had grabbed mine. I actually had no idea who got them but once they made it to the destination and they unloaded and my bag was unclaimed, the captain investigated and gave me a call. Fortunately they went to an airport about an hour away from my home airport. The pilot drove it out to meet me. I since added crew tags to all my bags in the hopes that a crew would recognize their own bags. Glad yours was a happy ending as well.
It happens for sure. No bad intentions, but in pro aviation pilots needs to keep things on schedule and moving. Picking up bags is a clue to tell passengers its time to board. I would love to fly 135 again so I could get Known Crew tags. They are unique and visible.
@@DonAv8s I got my crew tags from FSI. Maybe cirrus has them?
@@ProPilotPete My flight bag has a generic CREW tag with RFID and barcode. It is registered with the vendor that produced to it can be tracked like baggage on the airlines. Its black with white lettering. Those known crew tags are more visible with blue letters on a white tag. Of course, if nobody looks for tags, they won’t see them.

Apple Airtags - 4 costs about $100, and I put them in all our bags and cars. Saved our butts many times.
Battery lasts about 2 years and even the dog has one in the collar.
I highly recommend them or their equivalent for Android.
Thanks for the tip. My iPad has a tag and it did not alert me when they walked away with it and my bags. 🤔
@@DonAv8s@DonAv8s I don't think it sends alerts when separated, but it is easy to locate when you realize it is missing.
@@noleftturns Thankful we played detective, solved the mystery and had tracking. Otherwise, the tags could have helped.

What makes you assume they don’t have tags? They bother have red “Remove Before Flight” tags and also engraved ID tags. It doesn’t make a different if the person picking them us doesn’t look.
@@DonAv8s well that pilot should take a sec then and read the tags to make sure. wouldve taken 2 seconds especially since you were close by.
