    Just an FYI on hydraulics use black gas line pipe and not galvanized pipe due to the coating can come off and contaminate the hydraulic system. Great video. I installed a 3 point on my Farmall M and it work fantastic.

    That's a slick setup. That'll make the H a whole lot handier.

    Looks like a nice setup. I'm glad to see that you were able to leave the drawbar on the tractor too. It seems like most of the 3 point conversions leave the original drawbar off when they've been installed, from what I've seen. Good job & stay safe.

      @farmall51  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      crslyrn yes this version you can leave the drawbar on . It works great and no modifications we're needed . I've just got the one hose going to lift the cylinder and gravity to bring it down .

    Did you put a breather valve at the top of cylinder or plug it?

    I bought a 3 point system that was on an H, but it did not have the piston. what is the model number of this single action cyclinder? thanks for the video!

    We have two home built 3 point on a couple M's Im fixing to swap one to a H we are working on. Fuel is high dollar and a M uses a lot more than a H.

    My Dad's first tractor in the 70's was a Ford 9n, then a Poppin' Johnny John Deere, and then new JD's after that. Never had anything without a three point. My first tractor, that I still have, is an International B275, from 1959, and IT has three point standard, but then again, all of these were general use tractors, not row crop. Also, I'm developing an appreciation of the Farmall's, because they were the Everyman's tractor, built for a specific use per model, and no more, thus allowing for a lower buy in price. Seems like the John Deere's were always the most expensive over the years from what I've read. The fact that a lot of people still use the Farmall's productively is a testament to their design, and being able to add on a three point hitch if you needed it is just fantastic. Heck, after seeing this, I'm pondering fabbing up a pin on assembly like this for the front of one of the trucks so I can use my scraper on the truck as a low use snow plow for the once or twice a year it'd come in handy. No more twisted around driving backwards on the tractor! Thanks for the video!

      @@farmall51,, we've got a manually operated spool valve plumbed in the output line of the belly pump, so we can operate 2 different implements, one is locked in position while using the other, , , such as loader or semi-mounted sickle mower. (anything that's 1 way hyd)

    Nice, that should be able to lift something like a 5ft brush hog right? Thanks. Also i seen an m at scrap yard with brackets on upper drawbar mounts that pivot up and down one side has through bolt holes and other end has like a 2in ball all 1 piece. Bracket shape like v. Stamped ih part #58200r1 and582001. Cant find anything online what is or worth saving.

      A Farmall H has a very low pressure hydraulic system, they won't lift a lot of weight anyway.
