Brings back memories of the pack lift on chally 2. Probably one of the very few things that remained the same. Seen this tank and the chieftain at tanks trucks and firepower couple of years ago. Good day out. I always miss the old girl's, wish I could afford a little tank myself.

Great video of the pack lift. Do you have the Aux Gen to install? Great to get some pics of that also. I'll be reproducing in1:35 so some great reference screen shots lifted form the video as reference. Never worked CR but definitely looks simpler and quicker than Chieftain / L60 and Cent Meteor ;)

@@falix44 The tank at the end is a chieftain and that wail is the song of the L60 in full voice.

@@idpfilm Using a Hot automatic gearbox.... Manual wouldn't need a cooler, or atleast one that big...
Actual argument put forth by centurion designers. but with increase weight and load. Manual became infeasible so everyone uses automatics at high tonnages.
Triple differential cross drive gearbox. Its always hard to get your head around how that works the first time.
I just wish they'd make tanks with less Air holes in them and more armour plate. She makes all the right noises!

4 days Peter - we made a Cardinal Sin.... we forgot to make sure the Challenger was on 100% level ground prior to lifting the unit out. This caused the GIB when lifting to catch on one edge and **** it up - we have to re make a new GIB harnesses and drag the Tank onto pure level ground and gravity is a factor when lifting a huge pack out - she tends to swing level - even when the tank was at an angle !!! - Lesson learnt.
