- in this video we are making our way further round the yard putting more cvrts back together like a very big jigsaw. lets hope we get them all done!! little update on when to expect our first video on our challenger 1!!
love Toms answer to the bird nest - did miss out though, could make some birds nest soup with that YUK!
Ash, if your half interested we have loads of them master brake cylinders up for grabs
great work again - you got that JCB nailed mate, isn't it a shame there is no hook up at the front, now that make life too easy
I've been watching tanks a lot for a number of years now and must say I'm really enjoying the work your showing on the servicing of the tanks getting them in working order well done, oh nice bit of driving of the fork lift Ashley 👍
We’re glad you like it ! Looking forward to proper projects instead of just getting stuff running again !
@@TanksalotGB looking forward to the challenger 1 rebuild
You and Tom are a great team. Your knowledge and application is great 👍
Forgot to say I’m so impressed with your reversing skills with the loadall Ash
We muddle our way through somehow 😂, and it’s a breeze in the new loadalls, plenty of space
How did you get hold of a Challenger 1 MBT?
They sold off a few a few years ago, minus the Chobham armour. There is another preserved example in private hands.
@@fredmargerum1486 haha seen that, i believe there was a bit of a story behind that one, something to do with it being cast as it was a Vicker prototype (not sure) i think the main chassis was sold off first and the turret came later, might have been a Mk 1 for training and then fitted - somehow the Army were a little amused at something like this being in private hands
similar story to an ex SAS long range Landy a friend had, in fact that was auctioned off as a smashed up high capacity 110/127 (i forget) and got a full rebuild, still on the circuit somewhere
i do love a good yarn, but sometimes they get a little twisted in places
@@fredmargerum1486 It's not a C1. It's ATR 1/2 , which were trials and development vehicles used to look at various specs etc , for the MBT80 programme. If you need proof, talk to the Tank museum.
@@thewomble1509 fair enough 👌
As always great video ash
Appreciate it!
tis came from Canada so it definitely needed cleaning 🤣
Most of the tanks and APCs are pack lift ,so why are you working with the pack still in the body.
Nowt like a bit of situ work to keep the skills and knuckle rash up .
@@paulwadey2648 oh yes, if you can't paint it, spill some DNA on it and swear a lot, jump up and down, swear some more, kit it spit on it, and if all else fails, leave the dog alone and get back to work haha
That's a long drop Ash, hope your aim is good lol or blame the dogs
Too big to be a dogs 😂
Are you folks tea drinkers?
Only on days that end with y
