This album is AMAZING. I'm proud to be from the province that produced Forteresse, Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Voicod, Kataklysm, and Spectral Wound! If you could upload the album to Sportify, that would be amazing!
@@Nekrist218 that depends on what one searches for in lyrics and sound. I dont listen to much BM any more in general especially old antichrist satan stuff.
@@gamingforfun9000 Gaerea, Panzerfaust (Canada), Misþyrming, Sinmara, etc are way better if you like lyrical themes “without Satan", less boring and more passionate bands... I will never understand the hype for Mgla lmao.
One of my Top 5 Black Metal Acts. (Ifernach, MGLA, Forteresse, Blutfahne, Saidan) ....It's hard to say what's best ... and a lot of other bands are good and amazing too. ... but I can always hear the 5, no matter what kind of mood 😊
Had to login to say this: Track 2 has touched me so deep and i realized i like this style of aranged and grandious progresion in a song that it is rare to find. The only other other track that blew me away on the same level is from Mgla With hearts toward none III. I played them back to back and no i SEE. Monumental escalating atmosphere. Please if anyone has other style similar to those plz recomend. Thank you.
I couldn't agree more about track two, same as my situation. I love how hypnotic the repetition feels, I recorded some stuff with my old best friend similar to this style, we fought, and he deleted all the recorded tracks, sucked. This always reminds me of that lol.
Top Canadian black metal alongside Brume d'Automne and Sorcier des Glaces. Other cool bands are Dark Forest, Allelic, Skagos, Pagan Flame, Burden of Ymir, Souverain, Valfreya and Bloodaxe. I went to Montreal, Toronto and Niagara Falls once and I wish to return to such great country some day
They don't just have bands, they have an entire BM scene that should not be missed. Pretty much any band from Sepulchral Productions should not be missed, especially Forteresse, Gris, and Sombres Forets.
I am at the second track already. For me, someone who listens black metal since 1998, it sounds like the Ulver's black metal trilogy. I understand why it could go the "atmospheric" but it's much as brutal as Nattens Madrignal. So, much close to Brutal Black Metal.

Forteresse & Mgla. For this type of Black Metal, my top picks for sure.
From Quebc Frost - La grande bataille de notre temps
Mgla is pretty overrated tbh.

the founder of Quebec black metal on the cover?

Atmospheric doesn't mean necessarily softer.

Everything on this fucking channel is tagged "atmospheric". The tag means nothing anymore.
