Installed mine today on my skoda, the fit was SUPER snug, I had to push it in on the right on side, then bend the wind deflector to get the left hand side in, then worked my way from left to right to get the middle pushed in.. It still came with the clips so I used them, but the fit left zero wiggle - I installed these 8 years ago and they weren't as snug, I think they've updated the designs on some of these!
Had mine on for almost 4 years now and they have lasted well. One thing that they cause though is scratches on the glass where it inserts into the frame of the door. As it pinches the deflector. Other than that. Great.
Just bought some of these for my Fiat so thanks for the heads up, will definitely be putting some adhesive felt or rubber inside mine to prevent damage.
Very good video👍🏾helped me and managed to fit mine on my mk2 in 15 mins, was clueless about the clips before didn’t know they were this easy to push in always thought they were tricky.
Hey, thanks! This video was exactly what I needed - I've just bought a full set of these things, but they only came with instructions in German and Italian! I'm actually looking forward to the installation process now.
Great video. I never knew how to install them stupid clips so I threw them away and let the tape kind of secure it. May just order another set now as mine are out of shape a bit.
Just got some for my zafira tourer. My only doubt is the retainer clips. There seems to be a lot of comments on other videos about the spikes in or out. Thanks.
I don't know if I should install these. I want them because I don't like the rain dripping off the roof all over my window switches, but part of the reason I open the windows is to give a breeze to the dogs in the boot. Would they stop the breeze reaching the boot?
The third vid I watch and the only one explains quite well. When you install the litlle clips to retain the deflector, why you didn't show underview ? Whatever thank you for your video. Thumb up.
The clips don't do anything on my golf 3 door. I can't secure them and they won't go all way in and when I close window it hits them and makes god awful noise. So took them off. The actual defector doesn't fit that well either down by the mirror area.
The supplied instruction leaflet shows the clip with the spike out towards the car not in. The spike should bite into the reflector not the door rubber seal.
I just watched a video from Heko before watching this one and they had the spike facing into the car to bite into the rubber seal, makes sense as that would make sure the clip cant fall out, if the spike was facing the guard, the guard and clips could all fall out together from the wind at speed if the adhesive didnt bite due to dirt etc
metal pins they have a little hook, when you insert them with that hook on the rubber side you will probably damage the rubber sealing of the door. i reccomend to direct that hook to hekko deflectro side
It's the window chanel nothing to do with door seal that's on the car itself? My instructions say inwards as the spike Could crack the plastic, holding fine
I have these for my B5.5 Passat. Bought from Team Heko. They do look good. However they arrived with only 4 clips. Not a problem, I just bought 12 identical clips. Now comes the problem. The clips do not fit into the window channels. Pushing them to the extent that if I was stronger I would have physically lifted the side of the car up and turned it over with the amount of force used trying to get them in. At their best they protrude a half inch from the channel and will pop out if the window goes anywhere near them. The clips are the same as yours and pretty universal from what I can gather. They are simply way deeper than the channels and will never fit in, and these are Team Heko's own clips. Any tips before I happy slap a passing pensioner with them?
The deflectors only came with 4 clips for 4 deflectors. I bought a further 12 clips. Now have 3 on each of the fronts and 2 on each of the rears. The deflectors are holding on and working quite well now. I'm thinking the door rubber being 15 years old didn't like the clips very much but eventually they have settled in. Really does transform the look of the car and really surprised me with how much the actual wind noise when windows closed, hasn't really increased. My stepdad saw them and wanted some for his Skoda Yeti and he is 74 lol. All is good now.
Got these today for my Civic Type R FK8 (2019). The front ones fit fine, although the brackets won’t fit once the deflector is in. The back deflectors won’t fit at all.
Just done one vw golf estate. No problems at all. No scratching windows. Just watch someone who does that professionally. Make sure ur clips in right way. Make sure on rear one you have a right side🙈 good luck

Just wish they were a bit bigger since it's difficult to open the electric windows a small amount. Also the edges are rather sharp, caught my hand on them a few times and it hurts!
Chris Wales I often don't use the air con with deflectors but you're right the back of the window opens down further than the deflector, however any bigger and they probably wouldn't look as good.
