Nice review. I always passed this one by due to the 40% and Diagio product. Now that I know it’s a worm tub I may have to try it. Cheers!

Thanks for the review. Where I am (New England USA), Craigellachie 13 is $15 - $20 LESS EXPENSIVE THAN the Cragganmore 12. Therefore, it's a no brainer here, it's Craigellache 13 for the win, every day of the week. I'd still like to try the Cragganmore for the sake of trying it, but at its price point here compared to Craigellachie, I'll try it only in the unlikely event that I see it on a restaurant menu. Cheers!

I do enjoy Cragganmore and would love to see some higher abv versions more available. It’s a good post dinner dram along with the likes of Craigellachie 13 bas Armagnac or Arran Sauternes. I also have that James Eadie craigellachie, so I am off to do a side by side tasting now with the official bottling. Thanks for the review!

To my taste, it's one of the better 40%ers available.

Hi Jim. Haven’t had this for a long long time. Maybe worth a punt if it’s on offer at some point ? Good review Jim, Slàinte 🥃

Good one, Jim. Actually, I'm even more keen on tasting it in a bar now after your review.
It's a bottle that used to be on offer on a regular basis in certain Danish supermarkets, but I must admit that I haven't paid enough attention to the "Classic Malts" range for quite some time (or any other Diageo bottling for that matter 😅🤐) to know whether that's still the case.
So looking for it in bars will be the plan for now, then after that - maybe...
    Cheers, thanks for reviewing 🥃

Hi Jim, I used to have the Cragganmore 12 OB in my collection long time ago but didn't replace it, still nursing the bit I have of a way better offer, a 15 yo Cadenhead CS bottled in 2008 that really displays a lot of character....The Craigellachie 13 yo alas isn't my thing...The batch I have (a 2020 batch) is too "vague" for me, lacks definition & unlike the 17 yo & the 23 yo, is quite frustrating, just my opinion based on my bottle & another batch I tried...anyway, always good to hear your thoughts. Cheers !

    Thanks for reviewing Jim.
Despite not having tasted this one (at least I cannot remember), I'm not adding it to the bucketlist. But wouldn't turn it down when I'm offered a dram.

Great review Jim. An easy sipper for sure and often overlooked. Got a signed bottle by the distillery staff and the coveted 21 year old which is hard to find these days. Slainte.

Great review, Jim. I think this one is a bit more interesting than the typical Diageo Speyside. The worm tub makes all the difference. "Pudding in a glass" is a great descriptive note. I like it when a palate exceeds the nose, especially when the nose is great like this one. I think most people would disagree that Craigellachie and Craiganmore are the iconic profile or benchmark of Speyside. I think most Speyside is more boring than these two beauties and they are more the stars of the region than typical of the region. But, I agree these are the benchmarks of good Speyside whisky! Cheers, my friend.
