I just bought one of these. This truck is amazing. Yes learning to understand all the controls and features does take time to learn. The ride is 100% smooth, but when you do hit the gas you get shoved back in your seat. For me it has the elegance of the USS Enterprise, but the badassery of the batman tumbler.
How did you get a 2020 Lonhhorn with a cd player ? I just ordered one and could not get this option in Canada at this time. I tried everything to get it with no success. The salesman says this cd player was in the 2019 models but is no longer available ???
Now how much will it cost to replace the computer when it goes out? I'm afraid that it would be like what it costs to replace the control panel in most ovens you slide in under the counter. It may be cheaper to buy another truck.
$90k for a Laramie Longhorn? Ouch... Readers, keep in mind this is Canadian prices. It's more expensive to add on stuff to this trim level. It's cheaper to go with the "Top" Ram 1500 luxury truck, called Ram Limited. It has everything already included. This is a good video overview. There's some details missing. Also, you can order Limited and Longhorn with locking rear differential with 3.92 gear ratio like the Ram Rebel. $90k is pretty steep though. In the US the Laramie Longhorn with upgrades options, (like the one in the video) is $70k out the door. The Limited is $63k out the door and has more options. The Limited is the top trim level, not the Laramie Longhorn. Still, the Laramie Longhorn is a nice truck.
I was looking at purchasing a 2020 Laramie. after adding a number of options that I wanted , It was an additional $1,900.00 to get a Limited and another $1,100.00 for 22" rims. No sun roof didn't want it . After incentives and discounts the cost to purchase before tax $68,000.00 Canadian.
@@actionhiro4222 wow... For a fully loaded 2020 Laramie Longhorn it's was $71k USD. All options except for the Ram box, The 2020 Limited already comes with everything except rear axle lock. Which automatically adds the 3.92 rear end ratio, and I had to add the sunroof, undercarriage skid plates. In total, it was $64k USD. The park assist (not sure who uses that, but it's cool and scary at the same time, allowing the truck to park itself, in steps) and lane keep assist is already included. They both are a pretty smooth drive.
@@actionhiro4222 in this video, you'll see the difference between them. The Limited only has the sunroof added. And the Laramie was upgraded. Both trucks cost the same. Keep in mind, I added the the air ride suspension, skid plates, 33 gallon fuel tank, and locking rear axle, 3.92 included. When I priced both trucks, the Laramie was more when trying to match it with the Limited. Oh, and the sound system is already upgraded and included with the Limited. th-cam.com/video/PyhgTLYGxok/w-d-xo.html
@@JohnARobinsonJr I did go ahead with my purchase of the Limited. Btw It did include Ram box and cargo management, 22 " Rims extra large fuel tank etc etc. No bull on the $68,000 Canadian price tag. There is big discount pricing incentive going on right now. They told me I will get my truck within 2 months. I wasn't sure about the locking diff. I heard the limited slip diff was very good. What do you think ? Regarding the park assist , adaptive cruise control etc. This is something that I am use to on my 2016 Tesla Model S. I am glad Ram is catching up , it about time. The only disappointment is the screen software system. No sure what it's called . It's still in the stone age compared to my Tesla. Btw: I order my Limited with a Echo Diesel. Very happy with my previous 2016 Laramie Echo Diesel ,which I am may give to my son when my Limited arrives .
@@actionhiro4222 Well, I ordered mine in indigo blue. Not a big fan of black seats. Especially because I take trips to Texas and Arizona a lot, and having that huge sunroof, it can get pretty hot. I love the locking differential. Eventhough this is a luxury truck, I will be doing some off roading with it. I will be putting some AT Nitto tires on it in the future. For now, it's serving it's purpose on deep snowy steep hills here in Colorado, ON FACTORY TIRES. The system automatically disengages the lock when driving over 40 mph (65 kmh), and when driving slow, you can not make sharp turns. I like it, and serves the purpose. No more pumping the brakes to switch the drive tire. Yeah, I forgot about that, I ordered the the cargo group for my bed, with the small retractable step under the bumper. I installed a bed cover called Roll n' Lock. I have one one my old truck that's 17 years old. They are very well built covers and keeps equipment in the bed dry. They have a mechanical one and a powered one. As for the screen, well it's a far cry from my 2003 Dodge Ram Laramie. LOL.. It has 210,000 miles, 1st gen Hemi, and it's still solid. But the technology is super obsolete. I like the trip planner, weather forecast on route, and let's me know the gas prices at each gas station. Also, when you plug your phone in, you can use Google maps as well. I think the Eco Diesel is cool. Especially if you're towing often, and the weight is about 8,000lbs. Any more, and your in 2500 territory. LOLO Once you drive over 65mph (105 kmh) the truck will lower itself for better fuel efficiency. Yeah, you should get your truck in onr or two months. I ordered mine at the end of October and got it in the first week of December.
I have heard that these trucks have problems with the 12inch infotainment and the videos are like a year old. Does anyone owns a 2020 and have they had any issues with it? Or any other problems. Thanks for the info

The Rams look nice but the quality underneath is what matters. You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig. Nice interior doesn't mean the truck is not going to have issues.
This video and the new Long Horn would be better served if you just used simple English to explain how it drives and rides instead of throwing out all the professional driving terms as if your explaining this vehicle to the editors of Motor Trend
All that may be true but remember: there’s no quality and it won’t last. Computer problems, poorly made exhaust manifolds and an endless list of parts breaking. Do yourself a favor and buy a Toyota or anything else made in Japan…

I absolutely love my 2019 Ram 1500 longhorn, I can't imagine a 1500 truck being better than this.😍 22.9 mpg on the highway also.
I always hated Ram trucks because they felt cheaply made. But the build quality on the newest generation is BRILLIANT! Good job FCA!
