  • An unforgettable performance against the world's best players, an iconic golf course and a budding superstar was the perfect recipe for a historic U.S. Women's Open. At the end of the week, Australia's Minjee Lee was standing the tallest at Pine Needles.

When my personal favourite Minjee gets her putting back to it's best, i believe she will Get to world number 1. But of course she still has the young and upcoming Atthaya Thitikul to beat. Maybe Jin young ko could recover from her lasting injury, Nelly certainly is always a threat as well. I just hope that my 2nd favourite player Lydia will be too busy thinking about her recent marriage, to be concentrating on any golfing battles this year. Plus Maya Stark & Linn Grant could well be challenging on the lpga tour. Certainly now that Maya has been getting quite a bit of recent experience on the tour it should help her. If she could just learn to not be quite so aggressive on the faster greens on the lpga tour, she could well rise to the top. But of course she does need to keep a bit of a lid on her temper as well and stop beating herself up after every mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, it's just how you deal with them. Maybe take a lead from other top players like Lydia, Minjee, Atthaya & some others and try to smile your way around the course. If Maya could do that she & Linn could lead a big European charge on the tour.
Whatever happens i think 2023 will be a great year for womens Golf......Go go go Minjee
PS : Maya Stark just finished 2nd in the opening event of the season, that's a great start even in a small field. She still looked angry like she wanted to fight the world though. Congratulations to the smiling Brooke Henderson on her win 🏌
