Ordered an Ascend for this hunt ...Keep Up The good Work !!!
Hey Robert, I've used two of the heads, and I have those videos shot and in the queue for editing. I will bump them up and you can expect them in the next few weeks.
Robert, I use the Anvil-30 and the BH-40. I don't have a video on the BH-40, but it's outstanding on my Ultralight TFC-330 tripod. th-cam.com/video/EdVUguIxKWQ/w-d-xo.html
Great videos. It looks like I will get the ascend model . What products are on top to be able to clamp on your spotting scope and then your rifle ? It looks like you have a picitinny rail on your rifle ? Thank you for your time and for your hard work on your videos . Bryce Johnson
Love you’re videos!! You’re the real deal. Debating on buying the Ascend for mountain hunting. When taking the Ascend afield, do you still take a bipod? I never considered dropping a bipod until I saw you take the shot with the Ascend splayed out low to the mountain. I would love your thoughts.
Thanks so much, Scott. I'd appreciate if you can share my channel with your hunting crew. We put a lot into everything we produce. I do still bring a bipod, but it's as much out of tradition as anything. In a few special cases, the bipod may be the better choice. However, in the mountains, a little of extra time to set the tripod up will lead to a more stable shooting platform. The tripod really is THAT much more stable. It will depend on the ground conditions where you look to shoot, but if you had to select only one, the tripod would win.
Check out the TFCT-14L : Series 1, 4 Leg Sections (Long) (rrssoar.com/tfct-anvil-30-arc) for mountain hunting. They've got my photo there, so that must be mine!

Thank you, Keith! Good luck out there! The Ascend will be invaluable for you.
Would it be possible to get your opinion on the different "head" options for the RRS tripods and the ones that you find most useful and the WHY?
