  • I put six tripods into the octagon and let them duke it out. The last two standing are featured and discussed. The rest.. lost in the wind.

    I’ve owned most all the big name tripods and my journey lead me to Two Vets. Hands down the best tripods,to me. My go to is the QDT V2. No regrets!! Great review by the way!

    Im glad I went with the Two Vets No Name but I’m still working with tighting and securing their ball head. Great video

    What adaptor are you using to attach the Anvil to the 2 Vets tripod?

    • @TheKraft
      @TheKraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The anvil attaches directly to the tripod as is!

    a tip, can you add Firearm to the title; as I got onto this, as a photographer, thinking it was a camera tripod comparison.

    Have you tried the tripods that use clamps to close and extend the legs instead of the twist turn knobs because the clamps don't use gaskets therefore don't have reliability issues nor do you have to worry about whether they are fully locked down or not.

      I did but none of them survived the initial testing phases. Since the initial issues with the RRS legs they have not repeated ( 2 years) and the Two Vets are quick and easy to swap so I havent looked further than the ones I have since they are all so expensive. More recently the screws that tighten the legs onto the base have been showing signs of wear because the legs loosen up faster and faster but I havent explored a fix yet since I havent been doing much the last few months.

    Recent subscriber based here in Colorado as well. Which model Two Vets is this? They seem reasonably priced.

      I have tested the QDT and 40mike and about to test the recon. they are all very good, and if there is an issue the company has fantastic customer service.

      FOR tripods aren't in the same league as RRS or 2 vets. For a cheaper tripod it's hard to beat a innorel rt90.

      @@66branch we would have to conduct a test on paper to compare those claims! At this stage the two vets is the best we’ve tested across all criteria

    I’m just getting my recon tripod and I’m on the fence if I want a Rrs level base or the anvil 30. Any suggestions?

    • @66branch
      @66branch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are equal IMO. The leveling bases are lighter weight wise but also lock as solid.

    • @TheKraft

      It’s hard to beat the anvil30. It’s quick, sturdy, and great range.

    If you had a wider RRS won’t they be equal?

    • @TheKraft

    • @viking9934
      @viking9934 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheKraft I understand but for the sake of impartiality for what the product is the RRS needs to be the same to the twovet to be assets properly .

    • @TheKraft
      @TheKraft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@viking9934 100% the thing is I’m not really doing a typical “review” just sharing my reason for picking one for a specific purpose. Repair time, company communication, and stability - then the fact that I could easily acquire two vets and could not acquire any other model.. it’s just a non issue for me. But I said they’re both good! Either way someone will be psyched they have them, so rock on ! No need to worry anymore.. let’s use them!

      @@TheKraft that's totally fair. Just would like to have known the brands that didn't live up to your standards, and also the ones that were not tested. I'm looking at a CruxOrd tripod, but there's not much out there on it.
