I feel like this was much needed for the game, that’s what makes Pokémon so appealing to me, the amount of different rarities in every pack. Konami should be doing this much more often
I disagree. Thats one thing hurting mtg right now. Too many rarities makes pulls feel less special. When everything is fancy what is good? Its good in side sets but i dont feel like id like this all the time.

All of the rarities look good and the reprints are very much appreciated. I hope they make sets like this every year/ every other year for expensive cards that are hard to get
@@991yugioh I think the fact that most cards effectively have the same rate across all rarities means that we will have a lot of inconsistencies in the early pulls. For example, revz didn’t see a single prosperity but other TH-camrs got quite a few of them. We should wait for the first few case results before we can be sure.
I love the fact that Konami increased the rarity for these newer boxes, it finally feels like buying a box isn't a huge waste of money compared to buying it secondhand
This booster is the best product we have seen in years. I really like that so many cards that newer players need are more accessable because of this set while people that already got the cards can use the interesting new rarities to upgrade/ choose the version that they like the most. Staples are a kind of way to show what you like because they are always with you. It feels really nice to keep seeing your staples in high rarities. :) The Rarities: All of the following opinions are strictly based on seeing the cards in this video. Some things might look different in person. As far as I can tell by watching this video: The new ultimate rares look ok but they kind of feel like the maximum gold prints without the gold boarders but with some wierd dots on the frame. They definitly dont look as good as the classic ultimate rares but its a fine rarity. The foiling on the picture and frame of the collector rares looks good but i dont like the little spots on the frame. The old platinum secret rares looked like starlights today with normal scr rare patern instead of prismatic. The new platinum secrets are good update to the the old platinum rares because they would have been to close to starlights but i prefer the normal secret rares. My favourite rarity of all time is the american print secret rares from around 2011- 2013. The american print secret rares from LCGX, RYMP, LCYW and the main sets that released at that time have these distinct lines that are just look way cooler than the newer secret rares where the lines are not as visible and a lot more random. I like how you can follow the lines when tilting the card. The lines move upwards/downwards in a predictable was and dont just randomly show up at different angles. I would really like to see classic ultimate rares comming back into main sets and I would love to have holographic rares (the 3d Ghost rares from back in the day) back. The OCG version of Holographic rare amazing aswell. I would love to see the a TCG print of the OCG Holographic rares. I am not a big fan of quater century rares and startlight because they look like stickers from a cheap magazine from back in the day. The foiling effects should make the art pop not make the card less readable because everything is just shining. Thank you Konami for being open to feedback on these rarities. I knew I'd love the new ultimate rares and 25th anniversary secret rares, but I'm impressed by how good the new platinum secret and collectors rares look. I'm not a huge fan of the older collectors rares, but these new ones are absolutely beautiful. I'd love to see more sets with these rarities! What a banger set
We finally get something that Japan and Korea have had for decades: multiple rarities for chase cards. This is a big step in the right direction. I am personally not a fan of the new ultimate rares, but this set looks like it is actually worth buying boxes. I haven't said this in like 2 years. They need to make this once a year. We still need alt art I:P and Apollousa to be freed from gold rares. Just return the ultis to the regular ultis, add a ghost rare and it will be perfection.
This set as well as the new rarities are great. I hope they continue to have different rarities of a card in the same set. In my opinion, it makes for an awesome opening experience
The rarities look good, but there is either is clumping issue in this or short prints. Prosperity didn't even show up in the super rare slot in any of these packs, and ash blossom only showed up once, but you got like 8 Ghost Belle. I'm hoping it's just a small sample size issue.

I’ve played Warhammer as a hobby for like 8 years now and even though it’s expensive and the company has been greedy with price increases, the product that I buy isn’t useless after 6 months and I know exactly what I’m buying when I buy it. There’s no randomness or feeling cheated out of my hobby
Seems to be clumping gladly (as it's less shitty than short printing a card in every rarity). Some openings had no copies of some cards, mainly Baronne, Prospy, and every single staple. But some had as many as 7-8 of Prospy, Baronne, etc.
This is the way to do packs, Konami! Nobody likes tons of garbage bulk, so sets where there are less cards in a pack, but we see higher quality cards and more foil is the way all sets should be done. It gives more chase to sets where you want to foil out every card in the deck. Love the reprints for older formats as well, would love to see more reprints of Edison and Goat format cards.
Platinum secrets take the cake for me. The ultimate rares and collector rares kind of look underwhelming to me, I thought I would like them more but it's nice that they are a different take. Platinum secret rares are easily my favorite though. That silver boarder is a small change but man make a sweet difference!
Opening this set looks like it'll actually be really fun and rewarding. Not feeling like you're just getting absolute BULK in packs is such a game-changer... like, all the cards in this pack are decent/good.
Legit one of the only sets I’ve ever saved up to get one box of and it seems like I’ll actually go through with the purchase, this set slaps. As someone who didn’t buy packs before having more like this would definitely make me think twice when I see them in stores
Coming here from the MTG perspective and its just insane how different it is. Actually fun pack openings with varied and pretty rarities, not gate kept behind a "premium" version of the same set which devalues almost entirely the special versions of cards. The cards in the packs themselves are like, actually useful. You would *never* see a card as good as Droplet and such at the "common" rarities, or a boss monster as good as Baronne being this easy to pull. I understand this is not a normal booster set, but MTG has premium packs too, and none have ever been 10% as good as this in terms of fun and usefulness.
This is going to be the most expensive set of the year for sure! Even if there's a bunch of these cards on the market cards like Egyptian god slime Barone dark law etc with be worth a couple dollars at the very least so this is a set I think you can definitely make your money back on a box!
Dear konami! We love sets like these. No shortprints, every card can be exiting to pull! You can spend your money on clean super rares to keep up with the competition or Bling out and go deep for some Luxury rares! Thats amazing i wish it would always be like that:)

Farfa pulled a playset (super & ultra & secret) in 1 Box Tombox pulled two in two boxes I think u can expect 1 per Box, similar to Baronne/Droplet, but u can get luckier or unluckier
Its not shortprinted as far ive seen. None of cards are. But yea if like OCG, they only include 1 "great" card per pack. So hardr to pull those than "less great" cards. U can get more than 1 great card per pack but depends on ur luck. So every cards chance not equal. Thatd why u see more jackalope seline artemis luna etc pulled than TTT baronne imperm prosp etc
What an insane product, absolutely want to buy a case. This such a a phenomenal entry-level product for beginners, literally every staple you'll ever need is in here and multiple rarities, you can literally fill your side deck with one box. 10/10 Konami this is easily the best TCG product in a decade
This is gonna be the first booster box i ever buy for Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm super excited, just got back into the game last month after being gone for 18 years.
This is a great set for new and old players. So many good staples, various boss monsters for all kinds of decks in multiple rarities, this is how Yugioh Sets should be in TCG, they are going to move so much of this product I can already see it. That said, secondary market for this set might not be big sales, but who cares, let's open some dope ass packs!
I've never bought a box before as they're too spread out for me, too many archetype specific/filler cards. This is the only box I've ever bought, pre-ordered and hyped. No matter what I pull it's going to be playable or at least will be nice to collect with all the different rarities.
The new Collectors are in fact the Holographic rares of OCG (i.e. Ghost rares), the new Ultimate Rares are the ones that have that little shimmer in the frame of the card

Really loving this set, I really want a nice shiny Ash playset so I'll be grabbing a box or few myself! Only real complaint is that some of the cards that we already saw reprinted in MAMA would've been nicer if they'd been swapped for some more necessary reprints for the TCG side of the game.
This set is amazing, the new collector looks absolutely stunning and all the alternate OCG rarities, seriously konami, you've done so well with this set credit where it is due, in general all the printing looks incredible, even the ultra foils seem to pop way more, seriously cracked looking set

MTG is still a better game to play as far as how simple the mechanics are lol trying to build and play a yugioh deck is toxic and ridiculous. If I had the money to shift over to MTG and maybe just have a few classic yugioh monster's printed as MTG creatures same way MTG printed Godzilla monsters.... then I'd shift over to MTG😂

This is such an incredible set, absolute gamer move and props to KONAMI for this one, this set is single handedly gonna facilitate budget players into getting their hands on what are usually less than affordable staples, Ash, Imperm, Lightning Storm, Tactics even BARRONE! I would love to pick up a box to open but it's just simply not in my budget right now so it'll be Super Singles all the way for me, but this is one of the best moves KONAMI could have made for the game right now. And yeah, all the new rarities look great, the Ultimate foil is gonna take some getting used to but I don't hate it. Man, exciting times ahead folks.
I told my LGS about this set, and TEN people got into the game because of this set. These rarities are great anything that makes the art POP is what you want. PLEASE MAKE SETS LIKE THIS MORE OFTEN KONAMI. PLEASE. Also the ultimate rares look weird on camera but in person are BEAUTIFUL.
I think all the core sets should follow this formula. People will still chase the higher rarities, competitive play becomes more accessible financially. If core sets were like this (pre 2023 mega tins for example) little Timmy on a budget branded deck could still play a budget branded deck, but actually have the same list as someone in the higher rungs of the competitive scene, the only difference being how shiny the cards are. Give little Timmy the chance to play the next T1 threat without having to have his parents remortgage the house!
2 things: 1: Replace the yearly tins with a similar product like the 25th anniversary collector edition. 2: Bring back triple rarities to core sets. It doesn't have to be ghost, ultimate, or secret. Could be rare, super, secret, or any variation of rarity for a highly sought-after card.
Konami if you're reading this, I specifically bought the OCG rarity collection months ago just so I could have these rarities. Please use them I beg of you. (Also all cards in multiple rarities WILL get me to buy TCG boxes again)
The iconic radial pattern for Collectors Rare in the OCG; the speckle effect was added and debut in 2020's Collection Pack. The 3rd generation Ultimate Rare first debut in 2020 Rise of the Duelist. Platinum Secret does not include the outer borders like Extra-Secret...... You just gave Konami(NA) ideas on what to short print in the future. I wonder how long will this novelty last.
All stunning cards for sure, but I'm very skeptical of any pack opening where the company themselves have personally reached out to a content creator and given them product to open.

This looks like an amazing set. It’s great to see all these competitive staples being reprinted in such gorgeous rarities. My only hope is this set will be accessible for a good price, as in boxes and packs. So tempted to preorder like 5 boxes right now.
81 total cards (Set list goes up to 79 for unique cards, but the alt art unicorn and eldlich both have the same set number as their og art). the unicorn and eldlich alt arts can be any rarity. So 567 card Master Set if you want every card in every rarity. Good luck, completionists!
Would be crazy to see rarity collections for different eras of the tcg/anime with fan favourite cards included. For instance rarity collection duelist kingdom, or just one full of cards from a certain era of the tcg eg 2002-2004. Would buy a massive amount of them!
The new rarities do look good, but a lot of the high rarity cards look best “In the right light”. It would be nice to see more love for the classic ultimate rare cards
I like the new different kinds of rarities, it gives those players a version that they'll like to search, but also this set provides so many good reprints, I would love so much more product like this, at least once per year.

I actually like the older ulti prints, but thats just nostalgia i feel - and I wish they would have done the extra secret rare instead of the plat version, because the edge of the card also has the pattern printed on it
I would like to see more sets like this, but with less filler cards like reasoning or compulse. There's alot more cards we could have used like Zeus, I:P, Apollousa, ect. Overall, very cool set, yet slightly underwhelming due to all the " filler " cards. That's my honest opinion. Thank you Konami 😊
The dots on the Collector’s Rares remind me of the Duel Terminal Technology Ultra Rare rarity, and the Ultimate Rares remind me of the Premium Gold Rare rarity.
I just hope they start doing multiple rarities of the same card in other products, because right now most the products we get aren't made for consumers. no one is pulling from deck build boxes to actually build deck considering 3 ultra's per box.

Sadly a short print like Ash Blossom. Farfa opened 2 boxes only pulled 1 ash and 1 barron. Both super rares :\

@@991yugioh2 box is a very small sample, eg farfa open 1 baron while rev have a lot, farfe open 3 imperm, 3 pot of p while rev see 0 to 1.

Apollousa was freed in Mavens but yeah we need the others. Droll is the big one for me now that we have Unicorn

Have to say I absolutely love this set and all the different rarities. It's also nice that you can get all of the cards in any of the rarity's in the set. Really looking forward to opening this set in a week's time.
Really loving this set, I really want a nice shiny Ash playset so I'll be grabbing a box or few myself! Only real complaint is that some of the cards that we already saw reprinted in MAMA would've been nicer if they'd been swapped for some more necessary reprints for the TCG side of the game.

This set is amazing, the new collector looks absolutely stunning and all the alternate OCG rarities, seriously konami, you've done so well with this set credit where it is due, in general all the printing looks incredible, even the ultra foils seem to pop way more, seriously cracked looking set
Love the way they did this. The platinum rares look way better than the old ones. And note to konami if you read this. Please change red reboot to 1 in the tcg as it is in the ocg 🙏
This makes me so jealous as a mostly MTG player, wish we got something like this for our 30th anniversary instead of the complete insult we got instead
MTG is still a better game to play as far as how simple the mechanics are lol trying to build and play a yugioh deck is toxic and ridiculous.
If I had the money to shift over to MTG and maybe just have a few classic yugioh monster's printed as MTG creatures same way MTG printed Godzilla monsters.... then I'd shift over to MTG😂

it‘s what makes deck playstyle‘s so much more different and gives a lot more diversity and it‘s a cool mechanic.
I just think that‘s the point that makes ygo much more special than the other card games (even if it‘s unbalanced af)

New Collector's Rare and Ultimate Rare ..... freaking bangers bro! I so want Ash in either Collector's, Ultimate, or Quarter Century
This is such an incredible set, absolute gamer move and props to KONAMI for this one, this set is single handedly gonna facilitate budget players into getting their hands on what are usually less than affordable staples, Ash, Imperm, Lightning Storm, Tactics even BARRONE!
I would love to pick up a box to open but it's just simply not in my budget right now so it'll be Super Singles all the way for me, but this is one of the best moves KONAMI could have made for the game right now.
And yeah, all the new rarities look great, the Ultimate foil is gonna take some getting used to but I don't hate it.

I told my LGS about this set, and TEN people got into the game because of this set. These rarities are great anything that makes the art POP is what you want. PLEASE MAKE SETS LIKE THIS MORE OFTEN KONAMI. PLEASE. Also the ultimate rares look weird on camera but in person are BEAUTIFUL.

I think all the core sets should follow this formula. People will still chase the higher rarities, competitive play becomes more accessible financially.
If core sets were like this (pre 2023 mega tins for example) little Timmy on a budget branded deck could still play a budget branded deck, but actually have the same list as someone in the higher rungs of the competitive scene, the only difference being how shiny the cards are.
Give little Timmy the chance to play the next T1 threat without having to have his parents remortgage the house!
2 things:
1: Replace the yearly tins with a similar product like the 25th anniversary collector edition.
2: Bring back triple rarities to core sets. It doesn't have to be ghost, ultimate, or secret. Could be rare, super, secret, or any variation of rarity for a highly sought-after card.

Konami if you're reading this, I specifically bought the OCG rarity collection months ago just so I could have these rarities. Please use them I beg of you. (Also all cards in multiple rarities WILL get me to buy TCG boxes again)

The 3rd generation Ultimate Rare first debut in 2020 Rise of the Duelist.
Platinum Secret does not include the outer borders like Extra-Secret......

All stunning cards for sure, but I'm very skeptical of any pack opening where the company themselves have personally reached out to a content creator and given them product to open.

My only hope is this set will be accessible for a good price, as in boxes and packs. So tempted to preorder like 5 boxes right now.
81 total cards (Set list goes up to 79 for unique cards, but the alt art unicorn and eldlich both have the same set number as their og art). the unicorn and eldlich alt arts can be any rarity. So 567 card Master Set if you want every card in every rarity. Good luck, completionists!
Would be crazy to see rarity collections for different eras of the tcg/anime with fan favourite cards included. For instance rarity collection duelist kingdom, or just one full of cards from a certain era of the tcg eg 2002-2004. Would buy a massive amount of them!
The new rarities do look good, but a lot of the high rarity cards look best “In the right light”. It would be nice to see more love for the classic ultimate rare cards
I like the new different kinds of rarities, it gives those players a version that they'll like to search, but also this set provides so many good reprints, I would love so much more product like this, at least once per year.

I actually like the older ulti prints, but thats just nostalgia i feel - and I wish they would have done the extra secret rare instead of the plat version, because the edge of the card also has the pattern printed on it

finally some reprints that were needed because some cards were over 60 dollars before
I would like to see more sets like this, but with less filler cards like reasoning or compulse. There's alot more cards we could have used like Zeus, I:P, Apollousa, ect. Overall, very cool set, yet slightly underwhelming due to all the " filler " cards. That's my honest opinion. Thank you Konami 😊

The dots on the Collector’s Rares remind me of the Duel Terminal Technology Ultra Rare rarity, and the Ultimate Rares remind me of the Premium Gold Rare rarity.
ocg cards lor this set look 10x better and cost a fraction of the price compared to tcg there's a serious problem thats not being addressed here.
OCG card quality just better, it is what it is. Every players know it. So ofc OCG cards look better.

I just hope they start doing multiple rarities of the same card in other products, because right now most the products we get aren't made for consumers. no one is pulling from deck build boxes to actually build deck considering 3 ultra's per box.
The box looks refreshing though! They don’t really do this type of color match so it’s a very much needed combination of colors
