We used too. Until they stopped ultis, multi rarity cards and ghost rares in core sets. I miss multi rarity cards, instead of this “only available in super or ultra in any set” now thing.
It literally helps everyone out. People who just care about playing on a budget can grab cheap staples in their lower rarity while competitive players and collectors can enjoy the higher ones. Since the set is appealing to multiple categories of players, more people will drop money on it which means that Konami will also gain more of its beloved money. Win-win-win situation
@@dbomba no, more common reprints would help the player base. But if you reprint a lot of rare cards in the same rarity as before or even higher rarity, you inflate rarities, that's everything. You create a short-term hype for a cashgrap, but in the long run it shakes the confidence of collectors and harms the market
This is how every set should be. Multiple rarities for each card is how Japan has kept their version affordable for their player base for years. Players and collectors are both happy opening products like this. A good step forward and hopefully this style sees more use in the TCG.

That won't happen here cause America is too cheap. They only do rarities like this in special boxes to up sales of reprints. I remember duel devastator being blind this with all the good chase cards thrown in it. To the point I literally just bought two and some reprint dark world decks just to duel some people cause I didn't bring my deck. And lol to no surprise I won against their regular deck but lol they where those players that played with only the support for their deck and nothing else.
Konami needs to change every single yu gi oh set to have rarities like this set. This should just be what the standard is. Such a good set for the playerbase and hopefully for Konami as well.

81 total cards (Set list goes up to 79 for unique cards, but the alt art unicorn and eldlich both have the same set number as their og art). the unicorn and eldlich alt arts can be any rarity. So 567 card Master Set if you want every card in every rarity. Good luck, completionists!
Imagine if one also needed the other 7 cards for the set's original 5th (starting from 005, it's +1 to account for the missing card) card to count as the Master Set

Everyone is talking about how amazing it is to have so many rarities and every card available in any rarity (and it absolutely is!) but can we also talk about just how loaded this set is with staples?! Almost every booster had at least 2 widely staples in it, may of which are still relatively expensive!!
Ok, I’ve seen 10+ videos on here of people opening up this box set but THIS one is by the far the best! Everyone is overwhelmed by the cards in here. There are so many staples and rarities I’m blown away by this set. It has to be the most extravagant set Konami has ever released. Every yugioh player old and new needs this set.
This set, not only with the rarity variety, but with so much preparing needed. Has got to be the best set of all time. I would be almost tempted to get more than one box of this.
This set is perfect for budget and new players. Allows them to acquire staples that have been expensive. Looks like you can pull a full play set of a specific card but at different rarities. I do feel this set will destroy the secondary markets on prices however.
Finally a product with multiple rarities for chase cards. About time. The QCRs look great. Not a fan of the new ultis and CRs but this is still a step in the right direction. I just wish they added more MAGO alt arts like Apollousa and I:P.
Konami literally printed money with this set. They should do this more often. And the new ultimate rare and platinum rare are amazing and hope they stay
@@Resin_420 they are devaluing the cards on the 3rd party market (tcgplayer, cardmarket, etc) their own product is still being sold, especially to the 3rd party who marks up the price to make a profit.
They aren't worth anything to the people buying them though so where do you suggest I go get real Yu-Gi-Oh cards that aren't reprints I don't want fakes you can't make money off of fakes

If every box feels like these, I think this is probably one of the few products I can absolutely get behind to recommend to new and young players in my community.

This set is insane. The pull rates of high rarities (QSE, CR, UTM) are much better than the rarity collection set in OCG. The price is good too. The price per box of 15 packs in OCG usually goes to the moon even with pre-order. I’m happy for the TCG players!!!

Have been out of the game for a few years but inspired me to grab a box, hit Ulti Nibiru and Ulti Droplet in one pack. Gotta say the Platinum Secret is a big improvement over the original megatin version. Thanks for all the great content!
This set came at the perfect time, I just picked up a full VS core for far more money than i planned to spend on yugioh and now I can afford shiny staples aswell instead of still using the same common ashes i’ve been using for years
I'm definitely getting this. It has so much value and makes pack opening more fun with the rarity distribution i just question a few cards included in this set. but at the same time, i need to remind myself this is purely for collection
It's a very good set. Like the different rarities in this set. The only issue with this set is that most competitive players already have most of the cards in this set. I'm not really sure what I would want in this set myself.

On some videos, I think the Collector's Rare looks best, here I felt like the Ulti's took it. Looking forward to seeing the rarities in person. There's a few young players at my locals and I'm genuinely excited for them to have the chance to open this set as well.
Straight up ordered my case after the first like 5 packs - I wasn't sure if I was misreading what this set was going to be, if I was confused, but seeing the openings it's all I hoped it would be!
I was so heavily invested in the Japanese version that the most interesting cards for me are the ones that are not in the OCG set. These would be the alt arts. The OCG only had them as ultimates and collectors rares. Getting them in the other rarities would be so cool. There is one thing I don’t like about this set though. I’ll never get to see Tom and Nishi’s reaction to pulling a luxury rarity of Maxx C! Great video guys!
Absolutely stoked for this set, and really hoping we get more sets like this in the future. Having high impact cards easily accessible is the best thing for the game.
I love getting multiple rarities of cards. I hope next time they'll pick more cards that don't already have most of these rarities and give new shine to other stuff.

I don't even play ygo irl anymore and I think this set is amazing. Konami really giving the players who couldn't afford them or missed out on a chance at getting some of the more powerful/expensive staples in the game.
I actually love the way the new collector rare and ultimate rares look. This set is going to be so fun to open. Hopefully Konami starts adding ultimate rares back to regular sets.

The mega tins were horrible imo, and age of overlord is one of the very few main sets I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing this because a lot of my friends couldn't afford the heavy hitter staples.

A set that can give new and old players shiny generic support cards is a step in the right direction. We need sets like this were people will basically get their moneys worth of common cards used in most deck lists and rarity upgrades for favorite cards
I think it's a very interesting choice by Konami to include all of these Japanese versions of UL and CR but they didn't use Extra SCR and instead opted for platinum SCR. Great pulls though! I will definitely pick up a couple boxes of this.
First time since pendulum era i felt a sealed product was actually worth buying. Its kinda like having multiple rarities of cards give you more to chase and more reason to pull out of packs instead of buying singles.
Ive always been more on the budget side and these rarites are making me very excited ive always wanted better rarities but the price has never been in my range when collecor rares came i got my first and now im extremely excited to add to my collection
The original platinum and secret platinum rares looks better than what this current secret platinum rare is honestly. I liked the darker shimmering tone the older platinum rares had! These currently are nothing but a secret rare with the text and art border foiled... Wow so different from a regular secret rare lol
Hopefully the success of this set will let Konami know it is good to adopt Japan's style of product where the chase cards are easy to get in super rare but also harder to get in their other alternative luxury rarities.
In my 21 years of playing this game, not only is this the best reprint set, it is the best set ever. Konami, if you want this game to live another decade, this product must be the flagship moving forward.
These are super nice to see, since staples will now be affordable. But I swear to god, there better not be people complaining about prices for these staples after this. There’s clearly no short prints, and good pull ratios.
Absolutely every release needs to be like this. Why shouldn’t core sets have every secret rare available as Plat Secret and QC Secret, and every ultra as Ulti or Collector, with the same ratios for each? That would be so freaking cool. What a set.

In my 21 years of playing this game, not only is this the best reprint set, it is the best set ever. Konami, if you want this game to live another decade, this product must be the flagship moving forward.
These are super nice to see, since staples will now be affordable.
But I swear to god, there better not be people complaining about prices for these staples after this. There’s clearly no short prints, and good pull ratios.

What would be better? A case of the rarity collection or a case of AGOV?
Absolutely every release needs to be like this. Why shouldn’t core sets have every secret rare available as Plat Secret and QC Secret, and every ultra as Ulti or Collector, with the same ratios for each? That would be so freaking cool. What a set.

I’m probably gonna be alone with this opinion but, I think this set is better than Age of Overlord. The fact that you get amazing staple cards in different rarities is a big win. 👍
