Hearing their estimates for auction stuff that were up to 12x too low makes me so happy, you and your plushies made a lot of children happy this year cleo. I hope youre proud of what youve done :)
I discovered Queen when I was about 11 - I was a member of one of those by-post music clubs that sent you a "cassette of the month" unless you cancelled it. I forgot to cancel "Innuendo", but that ended up being serendipitous. (And I still remember seeing on the evening news that Freddie had died. I had JUST discovered them and it broke my little heart.) I was a huge Queen fan from then on, learned a lot of English by trying to write down their lyrics while listening to their songs with a dictionary in front of me as a pre-teen. Got well ahead of the curve and actually ended up studying English Philology at uni in the end. Travelled to London when I was 15 because of Queen (visited their fan club and Freddie's house, or its wall...) and lived there for a month on a language course. Fell in love with London then, and vowed to live in London properly one day (that took me almost another 15 years - I finally moved to London for work, and somehow that 6 months' contract turned into 10 years of living there). All that because of my accidentally discovered love of Queen!
The problem with the world today is that few people drink from the skulls of their enemies anymore. When I would complain of a headache my dad would sarcastically reply "If I had a head like yours it would hurt too". Somebody called me normal once. I was never more offended. Always be yourself, unless you can be Captain Kirk. Then be Kirk.
