The Raspberry PI Pico and Pico-W come in soldered (Pico-H and Pico-WH) and unsoldered versions (Pico and Pico-W). You pay slightly more for the soldered version.
In this video, I show how to easily solder the header pins onto the Pico. Unlike the Pico-H which uses a JST-SH socket, I solder straight and 90-degree pins onto the SWD port. Soldering straight header pins onto the GPIO pins allows us to place the Pico straight into a breadboard for project work.
For a full tutorial on soldering, I recommend my fellow Udemy Tutor Shubham Tiwari's course, "Learning Soldering Through Hold and Surface Mount Components": www.udemy.com/course/learning...
If you are new to the Pico and C/C++ development on the Pico, then why not take a look at my introduction course on Udemy: www.udemy.com/course/introduc...

Many thanks for making this video. It's really useful for me to see how to solder pins onto the SWD port. I look forward to giving that a try in the near future so I can make use of my Pi Debug Probe with a Pico W.
