My hunting experience greatly improved when i started using elevated blinds. I love to hunt but im a very nervous and fidgety individual. Im exhausted usually at the end of a hunt just from setting completely still for hours. Using a blind that hides your movement gives me a physiological edge. I pay better attention and stay more comfortable.

We use different blinds to different area's and different properties and also depends on how much an individual's wants to spend. It's all in the fun and enjoyment of hunting.

They are way safer than sitting on a tree stand or saddle. As I got older and had a family with people depending on me and my income, I've gotten a lot less interested in being in a tree stand. Even a good ground blind pop up tent has been good to me for seeing deer up close. When I only get a few days hunting each year, I'm stuck with whatever the weather brings. Rain or snow a box blind keeps you warm and dry and able to be out longer.

The bad in the winter is a steel latter makes noise when you go up.

Like you said, box blinds are good for children and old folks or people with disabilities. Other than that, people that rely on a box blind in order to kill a deer simply aren't good hunters.
