I may or may not have drug a frog between two bullfrogs, and caught both on the next two casts!!! And they were massive. Ad em with a massive largemouth I caught on the same lure that night.
Thank you for these videos brother, they're helping me to make it through these cold wisconsin winters dreaming of next summer! Great point about using a hollow body frog like a search bait, I spend too much time picking apart weeds and lily pads that may not even have fish in it.

Fishing fast is the Tournament Mode mentality. I prefer to slow it down when fishing a frog even when searching around pads and grass. The Bass are there in most cases just have to see if they are wanting that particular lure or not and are wanting to feed (pattern). From my experience, the bigger Bass tend to want the frog to move a little slower and the smaller Bass don’t mind chasing and hitting a faster moving frog. I agree that at times you need to go fast and be in search mode but not while using a Frog. Plenty of other search baits for that but not frog fishing around heavy pads/grass. I appreciate your video and advice on certain things.
Thank you for the video! For very thick coverage, I like to use a Ribbit frogs with a Stanley Double Take weighted hook using braided line. It rips through the coverage and start making trails. The frog acts like a swimbait that's just below the surface. I caught several bass like that. Even miss a bass , cast the same exact spot and the bass will be sitting there 😂

I just caught the largest bass of recent memory on the first cast with a frog, after 30min of nothin with 3-4 other lures. 19” 3.75lb slab. Mouth was 6” wide.

I've actually put the hollow bodied frogs away. I just catch so many more quality fish on soft plastic frogs. Googans toad and ribit frogs just work way better for me..
Like your video on frogging, I like to get into fishing a frog. MY guestion is what type of frog do I need to buy and what color is best to start with.WIthout putting a lot of money into frog lures. Bringing fishermen.
One lake I know with pads is inaccessible from the banks. The other the fish know that frogs and weedless top water well and hide in the hydrilla and moss.

This is by far my favorite way to fish. Frogging in heavy thick cover and straight up power flipping!

I like to texas rig a senco and just bounce it along the top of grass mats and lillies

Frogs are deadly here in the northeast conn. Winter weather slows the bite but when they bite hold good chance it’s a monster!!!!!
