Cale and Reed are both controlling personalities. They still admire each other for what each did in the Velvets. I think they still speak to one another occasionally about matters concerning business dealings with the Velvet Underground. I think the two just need to meet and talk to each other to start smoothing things over between them. Time is getting short for the two of them. They are so much better when they can work with each other.
No . . . I caught him (with my wife, who wasn't a Cale fan - until then!) at the Enmore Theatre. Many years before that, he played a packed gig at a smallish venue in George Street; it's name escapes me right now. Just Cale and the piano. Brilliant!
>SIMPFANN >"This song was written by a good friend of mine"? >I thought Cale and Reed hate each other. Reed is Cale's good friend just as heroin can be your good friend... ;-)
Here are the complete 1983 and 1984 shows.

Enjoy!
Here is an artist taking us to the edge of his own personal abyss and, maybe, leaving us there... hanging.
❤CALE❤
One of the few covers of WFTM, even by Velvets alumni, that keeps the 8 beats to the bar drumbeat Moe immortalized. :)
Towards the end when he starts talking Augustus and coffee beans you can hear where David Byrne got his schick delivery.
