    Sweet! Great cover. This seems so much harder to play with a pick, that strumming pattern is everything. You nailed it. Thanks for sharing. :)

    Wow!! That's real Jaco Fucking Pastorious level bass playing right there!! How in the Hell was D'Arcy unable to nail this in the studio? I'm not making fun of this perfect demo video, I'm just confused by the story that states that Corgan supposedly had to play all the bass parts in the studio. Apparently D'Arcy required too many takes.

      By now I'm sure we are all aware BC played parts because BC wanted them exactly his way.
      D'Arcy nails every track in all live settings so her ability is not in doubt.

      @@hippiemark01 uh...sorta. Her ability is still quite a bit "in doubt". How was a professional bassist in a world known touring and recording band unable to nail a song basically based on pedaling off two open strings in the studio? It's not like Corgan wrote a song in Bflat minor in 7/8 time or something. This song is entry level rock bass pretty much. Great driving track no doubt but easy to play. Was D'Arcy having drug problems?

      @craigdamage Touching some grass might help temper your headcanon.
      Maybe listen to more of those Jaco tracks where he uses a pick, too.

    • @NickHarman
      @NickHarman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is perhaps easier for a guitar player to nail that rhythm.

    • @craigdamage

      @@tonyloafpoundstone my comment has zero to do with playing with a pick. I'm simply asking the question "why was D'Arcy unable to play this line in the studio?" What part of that did you not understand? Which tracks exactly did Jaco Pastorious use a pick? Also, no grass for me. My employer own my piss.
