Ah, yes, it's sunday evening, I've got a glass of wine, my newly adopted kitten of destruction is asleep - this is just the perfect kind of chaos video I needed to wind down and appreciate life, thank you Kira.
As someone who never recovered from the school uniforms to work uniforms jump (with a brief 4 yr stint in highschool where I could dress like a human but also be awkward), I am 100000% here for styling content lol thank you for your service
Just a gorgeous dress. And your posing proves that you are a master at the art of "looking into the middle distance as if there's something magical and secret just off-camera."
Something I learned in (my one year of) fashion school is that to help drape gathers, you can get a bit of elastic and wrap it around the dress form where ever you want the gathers to be, then stick the fabric underneath it. With the tension from the elastic, you can manipulate the gathers to a way you like them and then mark it all so that when you take the drape off of the form to make a pattern, you know just how much extra fabric to cut to form the amount of gathering you want.
Genuinely, everything you do is so incredibly 💖 M A G I C A L 💖 The whimsygoth is pretty much my favorite aesthetic, just wish I had more opportunities and funds to acquire more outfits like that ;-;
Everything about this was incredible and made my whimsigoth brain so happy. Also the Micarah shout outs made me think if those two ever collaborate on something it'll be like if a MyScene doll and a forest fairy had a baby
Amazing Spooky Job 🦇🐍🎃 But Kira you can just rip Organza along the grainline. No need to measure all that. You snip and then you rip and it will remain consistent. Also just a tip (from painful first hand experience) you need to let circle skirts hang for a day because due to the grain the hem will become uneven in places so if you attach your second and third tier immediately to that it will shift and your hem will become longer in some and shorter in other places
My gothic/grunge loving ass is drooling over this masterpiece. It definitly gives off gothic gala vibes, or even a little bit of Wednesday Addams in her ball dress. I could definitly see this at a Haute Couture expo😅. That being said, I am looking forward to all the shenanigans that you'll achieve these next spooky months. And yes 100% to the styling videos because your sense of fashion is just ✨️mwaaah✨️.
I don't know how to sew nor how to draw but anytime I watch your video I feel this irresistible urge to change my whole wardrobe to be more whimsy and to go back to that store and by the sewing machine on sale 😂
This is so cool! I love how you can combine so many different styles and clothing trends and make something so uniquely beautiful. It’d be so cool if you made a stained glass corset/dress that I’ve seen a lot on Pinterest! I hope you have a great week!
This is like my dream dress! I love the reveal where you did so much twirling, running and jumping and just showing how perfect it is as a princess dress. It made me think of Odette in the old anime version of swan lake when I was a kid. I was obsessed with the black ballroom gown she wears. I also really love how you showed the different way it could be styled. The last one was giving me rich cyberpunk villain vibes.
I'm currently designing a dress specifically inspired by the bat on the headdress of Haunted Hotel staff at Disney World - which I am aware is overly specific - so this is the perfect video to watch while I draw!
hiya, i am a custume student and for the button heres a hack. use 4 threads in a needle. as in 1 very long piece of thread, fold in half. put both end pieces of the thread into the needle before folding and tieing a knot. This will speed things up for you! less stitches! and is very secure! just make sure you go through all layers of dress!! hope this helps!
In the beginning of the video, with your pigtails, you remind me so much of Dusk from the Hex Girls (the blonde member but her restyled version as opposed to the witches ghost version)
That's really similar to a garment I made for a cosplay of Mana Sama years ago, sort of a big black chiffon dress that opens down the front. I tend to wear it as a duster like with a lot of the outfits you demoed. My dress is totally going to be part of my ren fair outfit this weekend! Thanks for sharing, I love all the awesome clothes you make!
40 years ago, when I was 20 or so and Martin and Jay kept giving parties, I'd have had a wardrobe of those dresses. As it is, I'm thinking I'm just going to become " that old lady who dresses like that/ who can't get over Ren Faire" and embrace my Princess Floofy side. My husband is going to love this. He dresses like he fell out of the 50's/that guy who, if he finds out that you need a bit of money, wil! get you to mow his lawn and then overpay you. Also good stuff at Halloween. Everyone calls him Mr. Philip.
hello yes hi i just rewatched your porcelain corset video and had the thought of a stained glass corset. I think you'd be chaotic but have fun making it!
That’d be so cool! I think she actually designed a character in something like that once. She doesn’t seem to use resin though, and I think for a stained glass adjacent porcelain corset you’d need either resin or a f-ton of glue.
I love your sewing videos, they scratch the unconventional clothing itch I can't seem to find elsewhere. I started to get into sewing recently and seeing all the Halloween fabrics at the fabric store gives me a lot of ideas.
PA, I just want to say I enjoy the many different art and craft forms you use to make your creations. I find it very stimulating thinking about what I too could do if only I got off my rear to do it. You don't have to narrow your videos to please me. I am amazed at how fast you are. I also enjoy your sort of comic presentation and off the cuff (zippered Gunne Sax-esque cuffs) approach to design.
I love the outcome, but the combination of the gown and vampire dress is fantastic and elevates both of them! I also love the casual outfits you forged with this - they're very cute and more styling would be absolutely welcome!
You can buy a gathering foot to fit your machine. U just tighten the tension a little n lengthen the stitch length. A great sanity saver. For sure. Hopes this helps.
love love love your outfits!! so happy you changed your lighting colors, the purple was so hard to see the colors you were working with , especially the fabrics and paints.
Gorgeous! This is peak gothic glam vampire vibes. I would love to see how you would style this in other outfits! The red crop top and black shorts outfit looked so cute I would absolutely wear that to go out with friends.
im making fan art of you now, I FREAKING LOVE YOUR DESIGN SKILLS AND admire the hell out how much effort you put in all your art. i wanna be like you i hope
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel... the golden retriever & black cat line really spoke to me. I'm a bit like that, but more free-spirit/hippie vibe, but my spirit is mainly free because it haunts the living... ya know?
I absolutely loved all of this!! I want to see more of this!! I want to see more fun spooky outfits!! I love seeing you be your best renfair/vampire queen self!! It makes me so happy to see!!🥹🥰💜💜
This is a gorgeous dress to layer in any way you want and I really need to make one!! I love how you are honest on your videos as sewing is not always easy! 😊 and yes, I massively struggle with the bust area, feel your pain!
this honestly might be my favourite thing you ever made, it looks so good, really witchy, but at the same time princessy and just so cool and pretty. i just... love it? so much? you mind if i steal?
Black is the shiznit!!! That dress/overdress/jacket/lounge wear overdress/???? Is pretty fn awesome in a grand way!; I love it. I'm more a mid length kind girl but I really love it. Like how I feel matters 🤣🤣🤣🤣🧐🤔🫤
Not me sobbing because I don't have the time, budget, or non-arthritic hands to make one of my own. This is absolutely stunning and I'd live in it if i could. 😭🖤🖤🖤
I love how this turned out!! such a great video I especially love the styling montage at the end!! also love that you namedropped micarahtewers ! she is a chaotic genius much like you and I'd love to see that collab
i watched it to get an inspiration for a dream gothic gown that I will definetly never make. Did not expect to be hit with a PIEROGI reference. Caught me off guard and i love it.
im obsessed with this item wow. a dress thats also a duster with different sleeve options thats lightweight but heavy vibes. i'll take one in black and one in oxblood red please
I love it! Now I need to make something like this for myself sometimes😅 I think the only way to make it even more versitile would be to find a way to attach the bottom row of the skirkt so u can remove it. I really looks incredibly beautiful. For the Fall something like this out of velvet could be wonderful.
Just in case you need to hear it, you are incredible and your work is 🧑🏽🍳😘👌🏼 not to mention entertaining as hell to watch. And yes, absolutely I am interested in more outfit styling videos and content! Gimmie gimmie!
I think along with this gown you should attempt making a rapier like you mention in your dragonfly videos!! Maybe more whismagoth then bug but I’d love to see you take on a project like that!
I NEED a howls moving castle red carpet cosplay now!!!
Yes! Like a full feathered cloak!!
Like a full dress inspired by his room👀👀👀
I aspire to both of these
I NEED THIS
As a fashion-oriented teen, I can happily say that you are a C O M P L E T E fashion ✨ ICON ✨. Keep up the good work girlie 🫡
Same!
Laying on the floor and saying "that will fix the problem" is so relatable
Ah, yes, it's sunday evening, I've got a glass of wine, my newly adopted kitten of destruction is asleep - this is just the perfect kind of chaos video I needed to wind down and appreciate life, thank you Kira.
My 1990's high school goth heart is weeping with joy, I miss those days!
Agreed. Vampire Willow would totally lick you.
Hello fellow army fancy seeing you here

I got flash backs to Rachel macksey gathering the bottom ruffle of her Halloween dress 😂
2 MINUTES IN AND THERE IS A DANGER DAYS SHIRT
I REPEAT THERE IS A DANGER DAYS SHIRT
YOU'RE AN ICON
Genuinely, everything you do is so incredibly 💖 M A G I C A L 💖

You inspired me to learn to sew, so I could finally be the gothic queen I've always dreamed 🥀💜
I'ven head the expression "cottge gore" and I thought about you!
this project is a great example of it!
I just freaking love every way you style it!! You ooze all the epic beauty 🖤All that gathering was worth every swooshy second!
you're lowkey (highkey) making me want to learn how to sew, this is so cool!
Amazing Spooky Job 🦇🐍🎃

And they’re back with yet another amazing video! You always inspire me so much, thank you :)
this is one of my favorate dresses you've made this year, its so fun to see you leavel up your craftmenship ♥
Beautiful dress/top cover. Thankfully, the executive producer is easily amused.

Watching your videos LITERALLY inspired me to make a corset for a ren Faire, and I'm anxiously waiting to make my suit for prom
You’ve never dissatisfied me with your videos and creations. Sending love and prayers for cooler days of autumn from Poland ❤
Hello fellow polish person with good taste ❤
Heeeeeej fellow polish person!!!!! :D
I'm currently designing a dress specifically inspired by the bat on the headdress of Haunted Hotel staff at Disney World - which I am aware is overly specific - so this is the perfect video to watch while I draw!
Bless your pluck for actually making use of Micarah instructions. x') So versatile!

KIRA TALKING ABOUT MICHRA TEWERS IS JUST HEAVEN BC THEY BITH ARE MY FAVSSS
That last styling outfit was so cool! You just keep creating cool stuff
Always on top of whimsy goth fashion, love it so much!
I'm so happy how this came out, your hex girls look to your Mortisa style were amazing. I even hate doing buttons they are a pain to sort out
Adore this! I felt your pain sewing that skirt especially, takes so much longer than you think it will every single time
I've been thinking of having a long skirt that turns into a cape on my future wedding dress (for future wear). Thank you for concreting that idea 😆
Discussing the idea of mixing Mortica Adams' and Arwen's aesthetic while wearing a MCR t-shirt is such a MOOD 👌✨

I need to make the detatchable sleeves as its own thing
This is so gorgeous! It’s like if Bubbline was a dress🖤💗
20:00 This remind me so much of the dress from the Swan Princess movie, but the evil clone
PA, I just want to say I enjoy the many different art and craft forms you use to make your creations. I find it very stimulating thinking about what I too could do if only I got off my rear to do it. I would love to see a whimsigoth fall lookbook! A style I didn’t know I needed til now. Also dress is stunning!!! ❤
i’m so freaking impressed, it’s beautiful! you are very talented!!!!
I mean, medieval goth is a thing and this dress suits that perfectly! Incredible as always Kira!
I love the outcome, but the combination of the gown and vampire dress is fantastic and elevates both of them! I also love the casual outfits you forged with this - they're very cute and more styling would be absolutely welcome!

17:25 "the non-biased tape" 😂 I feel that needs to be made into a cute little character for a t shirt or something.
a new prickly alpaca video and nerdforge video I'm being fed today 😭❤
Completely obsessed with your creations each week!
please watch out for burnout, we all love you so much! 💞
I absolutely loved all of this!! I want to see more of this!! I want to see more fun spooky outfits!! I love seeing you be your best renfair/vampire queen self!! It makes me so happy to see!!🥹🥰💜💜

Pastrami is my favorite. Thank you for this video.
That turned out absolutely gorgeous. I love the ultimate swoosh and versatility!
That is so beautiful! I really wish I had even half of your talent. 😊

I love the sleeves!
I made a dress in march with sleeves like that and I want 20 or 30 more dresses like it
i watched it to get an inspiration for a dream gothic gown that I will definetly never make. Did not expect to be hit with a PIEROGI reference. Caught me off guard and i love it.
Thank you for TH-cam, who suggested your channel to me. I will subscribe for sure.
Omg! I would wear this as a wedding dress it’s gorgeous
im obsessed with this item wow. a dress thats also a duster with different sleeve options thats lightweight but heavy vibes. i'll take one in black and one in oxblood red please
"This is why you should never throw anything out." Mooooooood, lmao
I love that the dress can be worn more casually!! That's awesome.

I love your sewing videos so much! Your corsets and dresses are always peak aesthetics and vibes
Nice outfit. I take it as a reminder to finish my white gothic gown this week...
Yes to more Halloween projects for spooky season!
The gown turned out gorgeous!
