He is doing what someone else had dreams of but couldn’t afford it I bet. Went in bankruptcy and he probably got it at a good price that it will pay for Chris work. It’s weird how things work
@@user-jm3kb1tu8t It is something that youtube provides. If you use any other music, people will come along and claim a copyright violation and try to get the money for the entire video. That happened to a youtube channel that I follow. The owner of the channel deleted the video so the person claiming the copyright would not get any money. Heck fire, that old farm is beautiful. I might take out a few of the worst trees, and get out the bush hog, but beyond that it looks perfect. Clear me out a garden spot with full sun, keep the rest in shade.
I had a big pine tree with one of those rotten spots. Someone told me years ago that it was actually caused by a tree virus. Somehow it gets in the tree, probably due to some damage leaving an opening in the tree's defensive layers, and it infects the tree. Once it starts, there's no way to cure it and eventually the structure of the trunk gets compromised.
The sun has been excluded but by the time Chris has done the house work all will be shiny and bright . Horses are hard on pastures and they take a lot of commitment. Did you notice the access ramp up to the house ,that might be an indicator why things ran away for the owners .
I grew up in South Texas. My dad spent a lot of time in the pasture grubbing out young mesquite and other brush. After he sold the home place, I went back five years later. Grass was almost gone, and land was almost covered in brush and brambles. The guy who bought is was running goats instead of cattle. Even goats couldn't keep up with the brush.
That place has a lot of potential once you get all the clearing and regrading done, the house looks like it must be pretty nice just from what I could see of it from the outside, new porch too. And also greetings from northern Maine. Dave D.
Wow, Producer, Director, what a great project. You’ve started this on off with a great beginning Chris. You’re on your way son. Keep up the hard work. Paying off. Isn’t it? Can’t wait. Watching your new adventure.
I bet it was a great looking horse 🐎 farm and you will make it look great again and then some. Nice start on it too you da the man for the job Chris 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
I was waiting for the reveal of the new attachment you hinted at a few weeks ago. I seem to remember it was for tree removal and this looks like a good job for it
Good that you are helping to save an old homeplace - its a shame that some get left like that but was likely due to health issues of an owner family member or lost a job.
I'm from southeastern NC at the beach. What part of NC is Chris from if you might know? Jw just found his channel. But I seen him on last video I watched an he was saying even though the place he was working had big rocks there not as prevalent. So jw the location. Thanks!!
Hey Chris. Congratulations on reaping the rewards of being bloody good at your job. I wonder if you ever dreamed of being this successful when you started at 18.
Your other messages say it is a shame about the conditions, but it is cleared out, but it land and natural, not a dumping site. And you can always restore land, trees and fields. Stack it high and come back and burn, keep explain the aerial shots house, barn, and fields your working on each day and list on the screen the day please. Great video today.
Hello Barney. Chainsaw menaces! Huge project and this will be back to its beautiful farm setting. Good to listen along with what is to be done to achieve this LetsDig18.
Thanks for the tour look forward to watching you on this project You got a great client there And I sure they appreciate you Obviously giving you more work Can't be beat that deal
I bet that old farm was beautiful back in it's day. Shame it's been allowed to just rot, but that often happens when the owner passes away or has to leave due to age.
Always a good video when the 6 kitty is at work. I would bet that was a beautiful farm in its day, and it will as good if not better than it was before when you’re finished.. Appreciate the video, enjoyed watching, thanks.
“Turn the house into a split-levell! Lol our neighbors went thru this after Hurricane Isabel. God protected our house and those of the next door neighbors. Our trees were oaks and pines, many over 100 years old. The subdivision was the first in Petersburg VA, built in the early 1940s. We only lost4 trees, the rest of the neighborhood not so lucky. But we were proactive and took town 14 of the 35 trees that were there the year before.
This is going to be one very large project.impressive piece of property.with all you have to do,I’m surprised you can remember all the things that have to be done here. I see many hours of daylight and dark that you will be spending here.great video as always.just continue on doing what you do best.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Gorgeous house how it sits with all those trees shame its in the middle of hurricane country so you have to keep those large trees away from the houses…
I started laughing when you pulled those fence posts with the excavator. I've removed some fences before but watching you pluck them out like a toothpick out of a sponge cake was awesome!
Some pretty big trees there, Chris! But no hill for a climber! lol 🤣😂🤣 I know you’re always looking for your next challenge brother! 👌🏻 Piece of cake for the D-6!
I'm suspecting the new owner is going to keep the cabin/house there possibly as a rental or a wide separated guest house/in-law house. It wouldn't be bad as either since it has it's own driveway connection so no having to blaze past the main house every time someone wants to enter or leave.
That old scar on the large pine kinda looks like the damage left from days of turpentine collecting. They would carver away the bank to allow the turpentine to ooze. As the decades went by the tree would grow up around the scar.
Oh and by the way Chris. Thanks for not seating us in the Kill Zone when You do your Videos. Unlike Davin Idigit4. Because the other day he wiped us out twice and took us for a Swim in about a foot of water. And that brought back Memories of all of the time I was Swimming in our ponds here.
No doubt there is a story of human tragedy or misfortune behind the abandonment of this once beautiful property. Maybe one of your viewers knows the story.
Unless I miss my guess this is the same farm Chris built the big pond, redirected some of the farm roads, built a big pad for a pole barn and crushed all of the concrete a few weeks ago. If I'm right this owner has some of deep pockets. Chris don't work cheap... just ask Jeff 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time someone complains about taking down trees and sending them to be pulp wood, Just remind them it's those trees that make up a portion of their fast food napkins/boxes/home toilet paper, paper towels. It is good to see someone also seeing the value of trash trees.
Chris a couple of suggestions if you dont mind. Forst get a headset w/a mic so you can narrate these open cab segments and second get a mountain bike or e bike to ride between machines instead of walking. You could even (if theres room) add some bike rakes to them. More time working that way
You're never gonna run out of work between this landowner and Geoff keeping you busy, lol. Shows they trust you and value your work Chris
I was going to say the same thing. Chris pretty much works full time for this landowner & Geoff.
yeah this guy must be a billionare
@@57heartbeat They both have plenty of money. Any excavation work isn't cheap.
This is going to be a lot more interesting than a month of breaking up old concrete!
It's always good to see someone clean up a old farm

Thank you for including the drone flyover and showing us the location relative to where you have previously worked on the farm. 😎
Can you share who the music is??? Artist/song title that accompanies the drone flyover...
I think that pond is the 1 he built

What a beautiful property!
Restoring an old farm…gonna be a great new series!!
👏👏👏🎉🏆🎉👏👏👏
Like the new job Chris at the same old farm Man this man has deep pockets .

The old farm going to be amazing when Chris is finished
Never ceases to amaze me how easy you make a difficult job appear!
The happiest guy in the world. When he's knocking trees over. Timmmbberrrrrrr!
Saving farm land instead of destroying farm land 👍✌️ Great project
Can’t wait to see what you do to this property!! Time to let Chris do his thing!!
The sun has been excluded but by the time Chris has done the house work all will be shiny and bright .
Horses are hard on pastures and they take a lot of commitment.

Enjoy you watching you from England Criss Keep up the good work.
Chris that is a great place for snakes be very careful please.
Chris, another great video. When finished the farm will look great. Thanks for sharing 👍.
awesome project Chris, can't wait to watch you clean this old horse farm up into something beautiful..
D6 looks like it's running better, less soot around exhaust flapper.

That a really pretty house
Hi Chris, now your nice and new trailer is gone come in very handy I guess, Greetings from Cananada Jon and Rina.
my favorite is taking trees down, good job chris
Gum, furniture stock and fire wood is all it’s used for to my knowledge over here in East Tennessee.
Those are some pretty big trees, can`t wait to see the end result of this old farm renovation.
Chris I have never said that I really Love that piece of Music that You use when you're flying the Drone. Thanks again Chris.
Running D6s and D7s of your vintage, always wore over the ear hearing protection. Inner ear protection...not so good.
The ramps in the front of the house could be an indicator of what happened.. if power is present in those barns you better call for a locator..
I bet it was a great looking horse 🐎 farm and you will make it look great again and then some. Nice start on it too you da the man for the job Chris 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
Such a lovely property just left to let nature take it over bro. With your expertise it will looks really nice again. Safe travels. Ken.
I was waiting for the reveal of the new attachment you hinted at a few weeks ago. I seem to remember it was for tree removal and this looks like a good job for it
The 330 will push those worthless gum ball trees right over. What a project, interesting history there too. Have a great week.
Good that you are helping to save an old homeplace - its a shame that some get left like that but was likely due to health issues of an owner family member or lost a job.
Good morning Chris😍👋💖🥰🔥💥❤️
I can tell it will be a more beautiful place after you get through with it.

Yeah the last inhabitants were older and disabled! The wheelchair ramp is a clue!
A new pond would look great near that cabin.

Copperhead City I would think. Such a beautiful place can’t wait to see the transformation.
