I love the ending where it looks like he’s escaping with one of the girls but the girls keep changing to show how they’re still playing the game with him while he believes he’s being rescued. Makes it that much more scary for him:)

I think it’s also symbolic of how many times they’ve done it - each pizza boy getting “rescued” by a different member, only to be killed by all of them in the end.
@@YBlvr Exactly it took me 3 or 4 re-watch to figure it out. At first I thought Joy pretended to rescue him to give him false sense of security. But after watching few more times I noticed Wendy and Seulgi were before her doing the same thing probably symbolic of how every RV member had deceived like Joy and played this game of Peek A Boo with other Pizza delivery boys.

Red Velvet have a story like aespa but SM gave it not clear like aespa, it was deep in the lyrics and MV details. All their MV from Ice cream cake to Queendome, they seem like vampire or witches, Irene is always a boss and control all members, Joy have a special meaning
You can check their MV RBB, their MV seem like a next part of Peek a Boo when a pizza man becom werewolves and kill the girls, some members betrayed each other. btw the vocals in RBB (really bad boy) is awesome

Not sure if you noticed that the member "saving" him changed every time the camera transitioned, further cementing the fact that they've done this many times before. The lyrics to this song definitely help make what the fuck just happened in the music video a little clearer. They actually amplify how dope the story in the video is. Thanks for the reactions, man. Love them and love Red Velvet.
The production value of Peek a Boo by far the highest of all RV music videos. So glad you chose to feature this one, though I wish we got more analysis.

I came up with a theory...
All the members here are dead except Irene. (You can see the newspaper about the storm that killed the member in mv.)
So the member in the mv except Irene is dead, turned into kind of between zombie and ghost (I don't know how u guys call it in USA)
Irene, settled as witch, can resurrect the member, 1 by 1, using the jewel.
Also, when the full moon rises, she gets special ability to turn human into a jewel. So, the delivery mans were not dead, but turned into jewel.(well same as dying though XD)
Inside the mv, you are able to spot one of the member sitting inside some kind of circle, other member spinning around it. 3:06 One of the member was going to be resurrected. However, they find the delivery guy watching them through the window, so the member changes the plan and stops the resurrection.
They play with the delivery man, and eats cake.
The cake is not a normal cake though, it is kind of confusing cake. One of the member(Irene) tells the delivery man that they are going to kill you. Irene and delivery man escapes the house. But since he had eaten the confusing cake, he sees Irene as Wendy, joy and other members. 1:59
After escaping the house, members shoot crossbow to him. However, it slips his face and misses him. After that, Irene gets out of the car and turns him into jewel and mv ends.2:36 Then why did they had to let the man escape?
It is DESPAIR.
After running out of death(crossbow), when he relives, killing him gives despair to him.
Btw. They are killing the pizza delivery boys. At the end u see, there is a phone booth where there is some kind of poster saying " Missing Delivery Boys". There is also one scene where there are lots of pizza boxes from different companies. It could mean that those shirts are the delivery boys" shirts are Red Velvet's trophies for successfully killing the boys. When the boy is busy eating the jello, Red Velvet is gathering the weapons of assault.

It's not really a theory but pretty much indirectly confirmed. Since Yeri was around the same age as the students in the tragedy, all her photos were blurred out in their promotional photos and even on the album covers. Go rewatch the mv and you're notice Yeri being symbolised the most

If the pizza boy eats the black jelly, he will die instantly.
If any members get the black jelly, those members get to kill him. I think Irene and Yeri got the black jelly so at the end Yeri and Irene work together. Yeri threatens him to go outside and he trusts Irene but Irene kills him from inside his car

jordan, imma give a bit of my theory here. the pizza guy did not actually survived, and his body was trapped inside that house, he probably ended up getting poisoned by that jell-o he ate. On 8:52, look closely to girls running with him, first it was wendy, then another girl, then another, another and another. only his soul was able to go out from that house, thats the reason also why no one responded for his 911 call.
