fujitsubo They changed it to the Mazda 3 now. Even the Mazda Atenza and Mazda Demio reverted to their international names which is the Mazda 6 and Mazda 2.
It had been two weeks since a video was posted here. First Monday in September, Labor Day for USA and Canada. I thought someone here had taken vacation time then.
MAD props to Mazda for these cars. While they did use a Mexico plant for some of their production, they also did produce a very large amount in Japan itself, which you can't say for a lot of other Japanese compact cars. Corolla, Civic, Sentra in the US? That's all American production now. Two of the downsides of this car though are that cabin noise and ride are definitely not the car's strong suits, which I cannot blame buyers in this market for valuing. I think that's why they don't sell as well, in addition to FoMoCo-era Mazda leaving a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.
Barath Vedant You're right. Mazda produces their cars in Hiroshima where they are headquartered plus a few other plants there. The coolest thing though is the fact that they just use I think 4 product lines where they produce I think 3 models. The only car that I know that they don't produce there is the BT-50 pickup truck. They also produce the Mazda 2 in Thailand but I think they also produce it in Japan for the JDM market.
Mazada's brand image took a real pounding when they were under Ford ownership. Lackluster design, slumping manufacturing quality, and weak marketing (in north America) took their toll on the brand.
@@benjaminbuljevic7977 Being a Fiat owner I agree. That being said the majority of the market isn't car enthusiasts, it people who look at a car like just another appliance.
(sound of everyone looking up Mauritius on Google Maps) ... boy, that mileage will stay super low ... not much room for driving on that island! Weird seeing a car so new on this channel.
*Mauritian here 🖐!Watching your vids since 3yrs now 😅
Country looks dope
Hey there am from Mauritius too
damn long ass name, in australia they just call them a mazda 3 lol
Same in North America
Yes, yes, it's the same pretty much everywhere it's exported to.
Japan naming their cars own models differently in their own country is nothing new.
Its no longer called Axela anymore in the latest gen, just Mazda3. The trim name is still quite long tho

same in Europe
These gen Mazda 3's look much better than the awkward looking current gen.
Agreed, but the interior of the new gen are something else
To someone like me who's used to 2nd or even 3rd hand 90's beaters, this is like a showroom car that just got test driven a few times.
after some time, you guys are back.
Hey David you pronounced the name wrong in the intro , you said Alexa .
Haha although I enjoy watching your videos :D
Damn I never realized just how loud direct injection systems are, that is quite a ticky engine
*Well hello*
It’s an amazing car because my fiancé owns a fully loaded version. I find it interesting that his car comes with a power folding mirrors.
its a standard feature in asia due to parking requirements in highrise.

One of the newest cars to be on this video, or this channel. By the way, Mazda needs to leave North America already.
