    This was part of the Golden Age of modern collecting. Everything was fairly easy to find, the quality of figures were excellent and this is when the BMF Falcon was released! It's the centerpiece of my collection room! The build-a-droid concept was a great idea as well...I bought so many figures I didn't need/want just for the droid pieces!

      Right, Matt! The good old days! Now you have to go to small, out of the way, specialty shops just to find a good assortment of figures on the shelves. And those build-a-figure figures sure we're an effective way to lure you in deeper! Right?

      @@PaulsCollectibles You have no idea. I bought a ton of figures I wouldn't normally buy just for the droid parts!
      While part of me misses finding figures on the pegs, I don't mind ordering online...at least I know I'll get what I want and I'm not necessarily fighting the scalpers to get them.

    Legacy collection is really the epic time for Star Wars action figures. Although the vintage collection now is so much better in articulation, but they are heavily overpriced. I’m in France now, and on vintage collection card is at least 25 euros which I could buy 2 or 3 cards in 2012

      I Agree, CT! They really put out some fun, great characters in some of these older lines of figures. Plus, these came with all kinds of added accessories. And true, the Vintage Collections cards are nicer to look at it. And 25 euros?! Wow! That's pricey! I'd have to get really picky to keep collecting at those prices! I'm sorry to hear they are so expensive in France. Regardless, I do appreciate you stopping by and checking out one of my older videos! Especially since they were so terrible back then as I was still learning to film, light and edit my videos.

    Just got my first sealed legacy figure (327 star corpse) and while clone wars is my main line this is going to be ruff on my wallet for sure

      Nice, Eric! And yeah, these older lines, especially this one, have some great obscure and main characters. I wish TVC would do some of these types of figures. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!

    Cool video.I'm a newbie collector and i would like to start collecting star wars figures the thing is that i don't want to buy all kind of figures from different set i would like to collect one set only.My question is what is the best set to collect in your opinion.

    • @PaulsCollectibles
      @PaulsCollectibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a very good and very hard question to answer, Joey. It would depend on a whole bunch of different things. Are you going to keep them in package or display them out? Do you mind if they are only 5 POA or do you want more articulation? What kind of budget do you have since some of these waves are more expensive than others? The best advice I can give you is to join some Facebook Star Wars figure collecting groups and talk extensively with people in there and do a lot of research on older lines and newer lines like the current The Vintage Collection to see what may be best for you. Unfortunately, there's really no simple, quick answer to such a complex question. I do wish you the best of luck in collecting your set, though! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my video.

    You’re missing the Shock Trooper from 2008 that came in this exact packaging.

      @PaulsCollectibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, DreadedZero, I'm probably missing a few troopers and jedi from each of these lines. I used to just pick them up randomly when I saw them in stores or ran across them online without any effort. Now I wish I'd kind of paid closer attention and attempted to get each of the figures that I know I would have liked. If you have a spare one, I'll take it off your hands! 😄😉 Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!

    Dude what a awesome collection how can you afford all this ! Now & days most of this are over 15$ each wow !

      Thank you very much, Doug! And you are SO right! These figures are pretty pricey these days. The only way I have been able to amass a collection of over 265 +/- figures and multi-packs is because I have been picking them up since 1999; close to 21 years! They used to be pretty inexpensive. @@PaulsCollectibles I remember as a kid they weren’t expensive at all, now I look at the prices today and it’s insane

    • @PaulsCollectibles
      @PaulsCollectibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@logat1847 I feel your pain! Even the brand new 3.75" figures run from $13 to 17$ right from a store; much, MUCH more some times from secondary sellers and eBay. And that's not even for the rare ones. Collecting these days, at least for me, is all about focus on a narrow type of figures and staying disciplined on being a "casual collector." Otherwise I'd bankrupt myself and my wife would leave me! haha! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the channel and the video!

      Wrong! 😂 I don't know what the "B" stands for ... But "ARC" is the same term defined in Star Wars terminology "Army of Republic Clones" as was stated in the 1990s. I played 1994 Dark Forces video game by LucasArts; and, I remember playing the "ARC Hammer" as one of my favorite levels in that game.
