@@stopUkrainewar666 sweetwater is real lol. They are the new musiciansfriend. They have many reviews and thousands of youtuber reviews as well and are one of the most trusted online store for guitar players. They are the most trusted for me anyways. More so than reverb. They have great customer service and even have return policies and such. They even have a brand new luthier shop where you can choose to have your order to have luthier work done before shipped out. The luthier work atm seems a bit pricey and a bit basic imo, but their luthier shop is growing and getting better with more options on their list. I always check their luthier shop every now and again to see if they can do sustainiac installs yet. Since this is something very difficult even for the most skilled luthiers and is hard to find even in bay area Ca.

This was the only new Ibanez I saw that I was actually interested in. Black and gold is obviously a win but overall it just looks pretty cool. I tend to find that those super high frets are useless, but that’s just me. Also love Blood Eagle and never liked either of those pickups. Dimarzios just always feel too nasal.

I'm with you on that. I'm pleased if they're rounded over/smoothed into the edge, don't feel like I'm moving over a bunch speed bumps, and I don't have to think about my notes choking out cause the string went over the edges.

@@RobbieTayVaughan Guitars should never come stock with rounded edges.
If somebody wants it = get it done yourself or ask a guitar tech to do it.
HOWEVER, once its done, its DONE... Theres no going back. I have seen guitars I like but because the edges are so rounded off the strings are just balancing righto n the edge of the fret... I dont wanna buy it!!! Its practically ruined in the factory,
Those who wants rounded fret ends/fretboards can easily do it themselves or get it affordably done by a tech.

yeah you know how us lot can get with guitar trends, but the obsession with fully rolled off boards has peaked, i hope. +Some frets particularly fender style with a visible tang can sometimes cause a little trouble with fret sprout, but ive found this can be even worse on fully rolled boards, exposing multiple sharp edges to the fret and the usual tang exposure

Fun fact on the Indo vs Japanese Ibby debate - it's literally a religious war - there's ZERO basis for it, beyond personal prejudice. I've got two Ibanez guitars - an S series from Indonesia (it's not even a premium - just the "standard" line) and a Japanese made RG. I do and don't understand why people hate setting up floating trems like a Floyd Rose.
If you just dive in and spend 4 hours playing tug-rope between the springs and tuning then you're just doing it wrong. There's a bunch of video's explaining the 'block' method of setting them up:
Slip a wedge in the back between the trem block and body.
Loosen the springs a turn to hold it there.
Change your strings 1 at a time.
Re-tighten your springs the 1 turn and the wedge just falls out the back.
    Fine-tune to pitch.
    Done... Takes 15 mins.

9:47 You'd maybe have to mod it with pickups made for a guitar, but imagine if you strung the fretted strings like the bottom 4 of a standard 7 string, then the 3 fretless like the low strings of an 8, 9, and 10 string. Not sure what the scale on this is but maybe you could even do it like the bottom 4 of an 8 and do the fretless even lower, but then again you're probably not far off from the way the bass is tuned at that point, but the point would be more so guitar tones if you modded the bass and swapped it for guitar pickups instead. If I had the time and money I'd so do that, or maybe just get the GNG Shen 10 at that point. I suppose you'd have to mod the bridge in some way too or replace it lol.

They should reissue the Musician series from the late 70s / early 80s.

Is the plural of Ibanez: Ibanaii?

I love Ibanez guitars, but I hate the terms! I own two Japanese Ibanez guitars, and one of them had the old locking trem. I had it replaced with a Schaller lockmiester, and it's much better. I hated the way the arm always dropped down. But not with the new trem!

They didn’t use gotohs bcse I doubt they would fit in an 100 something gauge string.
My 7 string has gotohs and I barely fit a 70 for drop g#.

Does anyone else say Ibani?! It’s grammatically incorrect. It should be Ibanez’s (singular belonging to), Ibanezes’ (plural belonging to) or Ibanezes (plural) from what I’ve determined with my colleagues (I was a long time tutor at a major NYC university). The only time one uses an “I” at the end as a plural is for some words ending in “us.” The typical example is alumnus (singular), alumnus’ singular belonging to), alumni (plural), and alumni’s (plural belonging to). Walrus is another solid example.
I realize Ibanez kind of sounds like it should be changed to an “i,” but I’m sorry to report that this grammar rule doesn’t work for a proper noun ending in “ez.”
While it’s totally endearing to hear Hunter totally botch his grammar, it drives me batty every time he says it. I keep wanting to circle his mouth with red pen, lol. ⭕️ 🖊️
I feel much better getting that out of my system. Let’s see if Hunter actually stops saying Ibani now, lol. Prob not gonna. Love ya, Hunter - I have watched nearly every video for like 2-3 years despite this Ibani thing lol. ❤️ 🤘🏻🤘🏻

See, your error is thinking I take anything seriously lol. Both Pete Cottrell and I independently started saying it, and when we met the European Ibanez rep he allowed it. Much to your chagrin, I’m sticking with Ibanii (as in the ii plural used in cactus or radius because why the hell not 😂)
Or I’ll just play the “I grew up in China card” lol

I really thought there would have been more dog comments. All you need is a JEM, Universe, RG 550 and 570s. Yeah they have really thin necks it does feel like a toy compared to a nice Les Paul or a Dean.

In march 2022, I ordered an AZ2204. The 2204 NW MGR. I paid more that 2000$ for it at the time. Sadly, after I received it, I discovered major problems with the fretboard. The lower side, the high E was really well shaped, but the other side looked like the craftsman was drunk while sanding or filing.
I ended up returning it, as the importer found in unacceptable quality-wise, as I did too.
Yeah, I will stick with my perfect ESP Eclipse.

If your technique is bad, ibanez s-type guitars will not agree with you. I’m not talking about you, just speaking generally. Balled/rounded fret ends can be a feel thing but its mostly an aesthetic thing. A non-issue if the fretwork is actually good

The axe design lab can be interesting but one is a fake tosin abasi sig, an s series with more frets for no real, a combination of a q and s series guitar and 3 modern metal chug/djent machines. Do something wacky like the fender paranormal or ultra luxe series

I don't know this demo wasn't one I'd say I loved. Just my opinion but I don't really think the guitar was really up to par. I'm just thinking that Ibanez was just trying to stuff out to try and compete with other brands,Ormsby maybe? Sadly this is probably the first time I've been disappointed in Ibanez since maybe 2018. Thanks but...I think I'll stay with ESP and lust over some PRS guitars as well.
