    This is the video where it all started; my life, my current skills, my love for music.
    It was this video from which I just learned how to read musical notations just by listening and watching during the 2020 pandemic. Ever since then, Mozart has become idol. I learn, play and compose music. I have such joy!
    This video and the memories of my past it carries, they will forever live in my heart.
    Thank you for this post!

      Hunter Cazador eso es mentira, lo que hizo fue darle los últimos retoques a su obra, ya que esta obertura incluyendo esta parte la comenzó a escribir cerca 7 meses( entre marzo y octubre) antes de su estreno(1778). Mozart nunca fue perezoso, de hecho fue un músico bastante aplicado, organizado y riguroso ( a parte de ser un genio), lo que le dio su fama revoluciontrespuntocero.com/mozart-el-holgazan/

    I played oboe, bassoon, saxophone, piano, and percussion in high school band, community symphony and orchestra, and excelled in my musicianship, but when you read an orchestra score and see how much the conductor is hearing and reading and anticipating and interpreting....wow. It is like a thespian acting, and hearing and responding to, every role of a Shakespeare play.

    1:37 How a human can compose this? Talent can compose a beautiful and well constructed melody, but only genius can compose a melody as simple as astonishing like this.

    • @mehmehmeh360
      @mehmehmeh360 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, if you can get into the way this piece is made/preformed, you can see that although the notes for each instrument is somewhat simple (ups and downs, repeating bars, etc) There is a connection between the movements of each of the instruments so that they are properly coordinated (one instrument playing a certain motif while another is playing a motif that complements the former, then the roles being reversed at another instance), and the use of lower and higher pitches (p, forte ) to give the piece another dimension or axis of expression. Its impressive on how Mozart used these simple building blocks in tandem with each other to create a desired effect.

    The Symphony No. 25 in G minor, K. 183/173dB, was written by the then 17-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in October 1773, shortly after the success of his opera seria Lucio Silla. It was supposedly completed in Salzburg on October 5, a mere two days after the completion of his Symphony No. 24, although this remains unsubstantiated. Its first movement is widely known as the opening music in Miloš Forman's film Amadeus.

    • @Astrobrant2
      @Astrobrant2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, the actual opening music was the beginning of the overture to _Don Giovanni,_ which was quite effective in establishing a scary mood. But yeah, this music from Mozart's 25th was what most people remember.
      My daughter certainly remembers it. She was seven years old when we went to the theater to see the movie. The scene of bloody Salieri, with this music, freaked her out. Poor kid, I didn't know the movie would start in such a scary way. Ever since then that music has haunted her. I tried to get her to listen to the whole movement in the hopes that it would dilute her strong emotional aversion to it, but she would never do it. Even now (she's 45 now) I don't think I could get her to listen to it.

  • @NelsonClick

      Okay I have no idea why I have so many upvotes on this comment, I just wrote it for me because I was doing an oral presentation/analysis on this piece in class and I needed time stamps to quickly get to the parts I was gonna talk about but thanks I guess.

    Kinda interesting being autoplayed into this video from a Stamitz symphony. I feel like a got a sense of how dramatic that opening seemed to audiences at the time.

    I first heard this played on period instruments, by the Academy of Ancient Music. In measures 5-9 they play the last fourth note as it is written in this score: staccato, i.e. short. It is therefore very strange for me to hear it played tenuto.
