It's funny, after reading your comment I looked up JP clips to confirm it, and actually some of them subbed it as "ストレート" (straight) and others as "ストリート" (street), so it seems even native speakers got confused by her pronunciation lol But I'm pretty sure you're right, "street (dance)" makes more sense.
This is what being in Hololive is all about. Talents working hard to fulfill their own dreams. Not everyone is blessed to fulfill theirs including mine so I am happy for the hololive tslents whenever they fulfoll theirs. Hajime's performance is no short of breathtaking. She delievered on her promise that she is a very skilled dancer and much more. Her dream to become a center in a dance performance is so relatable as someone who use to dance the ones at the center are the most skilled ones and the eye candy. If you dont have both you are doomed to become a backup dancer.
She mentioned preferring a cute style of dance over cool styles like hip hop, we saw a bit during Laki Mode but I’d love to see more of her cute dancing
Ngl she might not be used to hip hop dancing but she definitely made the dance look so easy and so smooth which made her look so cool compared to the back up dancers who mightve been more into hiphop dancing than she is. Apparently Hajime only danced with them twice, the second being the performance 😲 which is really impressive!
This is why I love Cover as a company and Hololive as an agency. Even behind the scene, they put serious effort to support the talents in their goal and dreams. They nurture the talents, give them the skill and ability, opening the path to reach higher together.
She mentioned that they were all excited but nervous of their upcoming 3D Performance Concert when it was announced. They had that Subscriber Goal of 2.5M combined across all their channels, They had haters posting on x waiting for their downfall attacking them for months (Literally these were the most uncalled for Japanese & EN comments) They had little preparation time because of the advertising and Streaming events and their individual music activities and practice going on... Hajime in particular was visibly feeling pressure during some of her streams saying we can finally answer expectations by showing what they could all do by having their 3D models. If you followed her and Re-Gloss on Twitter (X) they kept posting about going to the Studio for Dance Practice and going home between Midnight and 1AM but they all stood strong! So i'm glad they had the opportunity to have fun with Miko and Suisei's Holo-GTA event to keep their minds off the negativity for a while.
Raden almost quit because of it all but I'm really pleased to see them all doing better as a weight has been lifted and those haters will now fade after the success of the concert.

There's an underlying sentiment that the target made ReGLOSS come off as arrogant, even though this target was made by Cover. 2. Following off of point 1, the most common complaint is that their growth feels manufactured. Shortly after the target was set, lots of people were saying that cover was prepared to just buy the missing number of subscribers if they failed to reach it organically. 3. There's still some unresolved resentment towards ReGLOSS in general due to the timing of them forming after HLZNTL fell apart. 4. This is possibly me being biased as a Kanade oshi, but a lot of people see her as an easy target. She's non-japanese, she's got a divisive personality, and a lot of her fans are unicorns. All this combined makes her a lightning rod of hate and it spreads out to the rest of the group. While she herself can take it on the chin, someone like Raden is a bit more delicate. It's a bit inevitable. The harder something gets promoted, the more likely it is to accidentally hit a group it wasn't intended to reach (in this context, the haters).

It's been great seeing them win like this and accomplishing their goals. They'll continue to have my love and support. Looking forward to seeing more dancing from Hajime too.
i will be honest some talents realy need the 3d to express their full talent. i watched bae in the past but after watching her dancing move i started watching her more, the same with hajime, i don't watch much of jp members because i don't understand a single thing they say but after seeing her dance like that i want to know more about her now
Hololive is where people can make their dreams reality. I'm happy for her that she can do what she really wants to do and be so successful at it. I hope she has a dance collab with Bae and Laplus one day. I feel like they would understand her very well.
She just skyrocketed on my top holo after those dancing. Honestly my eyes were glued to her the whole stream. Her movements are so smooth. Bae is a good dancer too but she moves rough unlike Hajime. It's the same thing I always say about Iroha, they flow when they dance they don't try to fight the choreo and act tough.

Tbh yeah Bae reminds me of Chaeyeon from izone while Hajime reminds me of Nako. Both are great at dancing but Bae has more of an energetic or burst of energy feel to it while Hajime has a more controlled and smooth feel to it which makes the choreo however hard it is look so easy.

Was gonna say, theres no fucking shot that banchou hadnt done professional dancing before. She is to dancing what ERB is to singing. Its wild to me that she doesnt think her dancing is that good. Shes already one of the best dancers in all of hololive at this point.
I think when you're that invested in something like that it's all the more apparent to you how far you still have to go. There will almost always be someone way better than you out there, but as long as you're better that you were yesterday that's what matters.

That's why it always sounds perfect, they aren't actually singing while dancing. Sometimes they will make a new rendition of the song just for the 3D live as well, but that is pre-recorded too prior to dancing. The only REAL live singing while dancing is during actual Solo Live concerts. Like from Suisi & a few other that have had live solo concerts. Miko is the next one up for the Solo Live Concert.
They've stopped doing "live singing" after the Kanata live incident where she lost her voice in the middle of a song when she became exhausted, her stamina was not ready, keep in mind these are just ordinary people not actual professionals who trains day and night. The best they got is a few hours of practice. They do dance to their song playing but I think when it comes to concerts now they pre-record that too. I think the only real "live" nowadays are the MC part where they talk to the audience. The other exception is sometimes talents would request for an ACTUAL live performance for example with Suisei, she always insists on performing live when she does solo concerts. Maybe she has a song or two that's pre-recorded but for the most part everything else is LIVE. I think the Cover is scared to do actual lives now because they saw what would happen if the talents mess up on stage (like with Kanata just standing there struggling to let her voice come out it was awkward to watch I was there). What-so-called "anniversary or birthday streams" are now almost pre-recorded ones. (I know Lui tried her last anniversary stream live by her own will, which turned out to be a bad result to be honest..) If Regloss's 3D live had been pre-recorded, their singing would have been way better because of post recording editing.

And honestly you can tell by how their voices were shaking at first. On the other hand the solo parts were prerecorded, so Hajime recorded the vocals first and then the dancing, to be able to focus on it.
