Thanks for the review mate! I ordered these shoes based on your review in autumn 2023. After climbing several high hills in the Italian Dolomites, i have to say, these boots are absolutely perfect!
My experience thus far is Salewa has the best build quality of any boot I've EVER owned. I mean that. I use the Crow for work and the Rapace for hiking. The Crow gets use every single day. They're definitely more stiff and a little more narrow than the rapace, but both are incredible boots. If I cleaned them up you'd be amazed how little the materials have worn besides the rubber sole itself. Although after a few weeks I wasn't a fan of their factory insoles but no biggie. And after using their 3f lacing I have no idea how I could ever wear something else.
I agree completely with the review. I have hiked with mine for about 5 years and I will be buying another pair. They are the best hiking boots I have come across in my life.
Wow, replaced with the same boot? That’s the best accolade you can get. I’ve had a number of boot brands over several decades for work and play, and loved my Meindl boots in the hot climates and normal hiking…but they’ve changed the boot structure. Your recommendation now has me looking for a pair of Salewa to buy. I’ll let you know how I get on post winter. Thanks.
After about t ton of research, I ordered a pair of these - I like a burly boot for everything including climbing. Cant wait to get them on when they arrive. thanks for a great look!
I've several pairs of Salewa boots and wouldn't buy anything else.Amazing fit and comfort straight out the box, great quality and they look decent too 👌

Fantastic heel pocket and instep cranking, with good width for my 'quite' wide forefoot. Very comforatble straight out of the box, but I will soon ditch the inner soles- they are naff. Sure, you can adjust them, but they have no substance. The laces are the opposite, they are bulky and overkill, which makes them harder to tighten because of the surface area contact of the leather lace loops- they are also too long. Ill be swapping out to some Tobby laces to help that. Overall, an awesome boot with good stiffness and build quality, perfect flex point for me, and medium weight, which is to be expected given their toughness. I expect that the rubber will wear well before the upper- most high quality boots do. Good luck getting an affordable resole in a western country though...sadly... Ill be using these for 3 season off track trekking in Patagonia, and C2 crampons in milder winter conditions here. Bought in Chile. Enjoy! Other boots Ive had- Scarpa Mantas, SL, Scarpa Deltas (awesome heavy boot), Scarpa Zodiac Mid (best allround non winter technical and general trekking), Asolo Greenwoods, Scarpa ZG Trek, Scarpa Jorasses, Boreal

I mentioned in the video that one of my old boot's waterproofing had failed but that was due to me drying them badly and I suspect the membrane cracked. Other than that, never have any problems.
@@BlackCrag yeah, I guess that's normal. Had other shoebrands where the waterproofness failed, one day! Those Salewas simply look great! Have to get me some! Greetings from Germany! Stunning vids, BTW!
Glenn I've bought these in Red and your review was the decider!! I had a few options but after watching your video I was sold. The fact that you've bought the same pair of boots twice on the bounce sells it for me. Cheers pal keep up the great work!! 👍
These ARE great, I love them, too. But even though SALEWA is a 6th generation Italian brand located in Bozen, in the German speaking northern region of Italy (the "Sattel- und Leder-Waren" company =SALEWA), the boots you are reviewing are (very well!) made in ROMANIA. Just a detail;). Thnx for the video!
Bought the mountain trainer boots while up on the lakes had a look at all the well know brands but these just felt so much better when u handle them I’m a slim foot so I bought them did at least a ten mile hike the same day they feel so comfortable from the minute you put them on it’s like there worn in from the start I can honistly say there the best all round boots iv bought and I will recommend them to everyone to give them a try 👍
Thanks! I've just ordered some. It's been tough lately finding anything that doesn't come with bad reviews. My last Scarpa's were uncomfortable, my Keen ones were very comfortable fell apart. I'd had two pairs of Salomon Quest GTX, which were good but fancied something different.
Nice review. How about the durability? How long lasted your old pair? I'm curious because I've read review of people having the sole wear too fast. Thanks
For regular hiking/trails these are overly stiff, i just tried a pair and was surprised... if you are on rough/challenging terrain they are fantastic, i bought the mountain trainer which is virtually identical with more give but they are still stiff compared to a typical walking boot, i had to go up a size also in comparison to other brands
Do these shoes provide good slip resistance on slippery downhill small dirt roads, or mossy surfaces? I'm wearing the last generation of these shoes for seven years and am ready for a new pair!
I was with you all the way, up until you said the Rapace is for narrow feet. I have a very wide forefoot and find the big brother version (I.e. B2) Salewa Ortles Ascent suit my feet very well indeed.
As a dog walker rather than a mountain hiker Boots are very important to me, both for comfort and their water proof ability. Over the years I have tried many many different designs and brands...Unfortunately I'm yet to find a pair that will last me a whole winter before they have to go in the bin.....No matter how much I pay, the heels and soles always wear through within 6 months. It would be amazing to find some boots that were built for pavement/concrete/tarmac walking rather than just hills and mountains. The dogs only go to the hills in the better weather and as we don't get many months of good weather here in the UK I'm mostly on the pavements which wear the rubber down real quick :( ...They do look a quality build tho.
The phrase "wide feet" is misleading because the shape of the toebox is as important and the width of the heel is critical to avoid heel lift. About half Scarpa boots don't fit me comfortably because the toebox is too tapered. Scarpa heels are perfect for me however. Scarpa have many lasts and in some of their most technical boots (think Ribelle Tech) they use a narrower last and it doesn't work for me. Yet my best fitting boots are Scarpa Zodiacs. It's not possible to say a brand fits you well when there's a bit of variation for each shoe or boot type even from the same manufacturer. Lowa heels can be wide unless it's a winter boot that I wear with thick socks. However after market insoles make Lowa wide fit boots perfect for me as they position my heel better in those shoes and the wide toebox and high instep are perfect.. None of this is obvious except for trying the boots on. My feet are 11cm wide, around 29.8cm long but my toebox is plateau-shaped without a steep slope between the top 3 toes (same size) and the 4th and 5th. This is sometimes known as "roman toes" ironically. My wife has classic "Egyptian" slanted toes, an average width foot and she can wear pretty much any Italian technical boot. Salewa are a snug fit for me but they put less pressure on my pinky toes than some otherwise wider Scarpa boots as the Salewas flare out a bit at the 5th metatarsal. If you have a narrow heel but sometimes feel pressure on your pinkie toes, Salewa might fit you well if other boots don't. Or they maybe be a poor fit. It's difficult to know unless you try.
The failure point of the meeting point of the rand and upper you mentioned is so true! My last two pairs of boots failed exactly there, Lowa Renegade and Salomon Quest 4. Both with less than 2 years of age and plenty of rubber in the sole, so disappointed as now they are of course not waterproof at all. I'm looking at both Salewa a Scarpa models because of this reason, let's see how it goes.
I've found Scarpa very durable. The Zodiac Plus and Tech are my go-to boots for hiking and climbing. I like Lowa too but I've found Scarpa more durable.
Great video. I have a question. Are these boots good to climb the Chimborazo volcano in Ecuador? The temperature up there on it's summit is an average of -15 degree Celsius.
Nicely done Glenn, very informative and although I’ve nothing at all against people being paid to review things, it’s honest reviews like this one that really are the most valuable. 👍🏻
Great pair of boots. Like you I struggled to find a pair of boots until I was recommended the Salewa GTX. Best pair of boots I’ve had and price wise they are great value too. Look forward to your nano vlogs. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Hello and good day mate .... Canadian fellow here, into hiking as well and you brush over a little how they fair in winter, although you did mention you never got cold feet, how did they do in snow and mostly on icy hikes .... Also about them being waterproof, are they and if so, to what extend.... I have to cross some small streams and river sometimes and always looking to wear something that will somewhat keep me dry, will they?
Are these boots any good for the wider foot type as well the reason I ask is I have a small bunion plus in work I’m usually a size 9. But have been wearing size 10 lately for comfort
Could be my own review! I’ve also narrow feets. Always difficulties finding shoes whit the righy fit. And these are the first shoes which fits right away from the shop! Also the lower Salawe Wildfire GTX are fitting realy well!
Looking for a new pair of boots and you just said the magic word, narrow feet!. I will have to go somewhere to try them on as my Lowa renegade gtx are coming to the end of their life!
Did you do the Cho La pass when on EBC trek. Was wondering how these would manage over that. Was put off buying them as they seem to burly for the EBC but might need crampon boots for Cho Lá in winter and. I then looked at the Mtn Trainer Mid GTX instead. But if they u wore them for EBC and they were great it makes me think again. Great looking boot also the Rapace.
thanks for the nice review.Do you recommend buying this in half size bigger than you normally wear?if you're going to hike with wool thick sock om them.
Thanks for that Glen . I will be checking these out , the latest inov rocklites are just not cutting it tougher yes but comfort is compromised and crap for narrow foot . I really like the look of these 👍 . Great review
Thanks for your review pal. I’m using north face & Asolo boots for ascents / descents (Snowdonia, Peak District etc) which are both ok. Merrell low cut trek shoes for mild. Q - I’m going to The Himalayas October 2021 to summit Island Peak and need to invest in a proper mountaineering boots. I’ve got thin, narrow feet (size 11 uk) and thin ankles. Would you suggest the Selewa ? Also would they be appropriate for climbs at 20,000 feet / minus 30 degrees ? Look forward to hearing back from you (Tristan) 👍
Hey, great review. Bit late to the party, but want to pull the trigger on the Rapaces and seen some reports saying the rubber outsoles have been falling apart after an unreasonably short period of time. Has this been your experience, or are they still standing tall? Any grievances at all? Cheers.
I have the Salewa mountain trainer, very similar looks wise but yes I can confirm the level of confidence they give with climbing over rough terrain is just unparalleled 👍
I wore a pair of BD last Scarpa sl's for 11 years and they're superb but I wanted a lighter boot for the khumbu and gokyo for a month next winter where every gram will count. The new SL just isn't a fit for me (TX last ?) so I tried a pair of Salewa "mountain trainers". They aren't as comfy, they overheat compared to my old SL's but the GRIP my god the traction of these things makes me want buy my other half a pair, I'm almost embarrassed how much security I get in these on steep descents. No, they won't last 10 years+, no I wouldn't want a big rock falling on my feet in them, but I think I might be a Salewa convert too.
Hi Glen, I have just ordered these online from Rock & Run before I had read these comments. As you say, "it's always a gamble" I did not have the option to size up 1 size as they are out of stock, fingers crossed. Do you use Nikwax for nubuck on these boots to keep them water proof?
Hope they fit you well. If you're not sure, send them back. The last thing you want to do is try to convince yourself they're a good fit and then end up in agony. Yes, I use Nikwax to make them easier to clean. I suppose it adds a bit of proofing and maybe keeps your feet warmer as the water beads off (like a jacket) 👍
Hi, very good review, in your first description about comfort, I just want to know about the cushioning, they’re soft in every step? how do you feel it in the lower back?
Thanks very much 😊 They're reasonable cushioned. Obviously they're not as soft as a running shoe but that's to be expected. I wore this new pair for the first time yesterday for a 16km hike in the mountains and had no foot problems at all. And no lower back problems.
Great video 👍 I’m surprised mammut boots aren’t that popular I have them and the Michelin sole is outstanding but they seem to be very well made even from the video .do you do much wild camping ? I was at three tarns last week in me new ve25 NF tent and wow it is superb .great stuff you put on here
Mammut are excellent. They can work well for those with narrow heels and medium to wide forefoots. They're low volume and their cushioning is excellent in my experience. I'm also impressed with the Michelin rubber, consistent fit, and their wide range of shoes and boots for pretty much every activity. Urban use to hiking to alpine to ice climbing. I guess the best boot is the one that's well made and fits. You need both but, having had some amazing boots that didn't fit so well, I look for fit first. There will always be some negative reviews and the occasional not so well made batch of boots that left a factory but I'd rather a boot that and some early wear and tear than a boot that gave me blisters and ruined my walks. Anyone who I know who had Salewa was very happy with the fit
Thank you. They're great in snow as the tread is very aggressive. Obviously on ice they're useless like all footwear and you'll need crampons or spikes 😊
Great review. These look great boots and I really like the wire pulling system. Unfortunately I have wide feet so a bit disappointed because I do like the look of these.
I wouldn't be put off, I have very wide feet at the forefoot/toes area, and I tried them before, and you can use the wider footbed that comes with the shoes (the yellow thing under the insole that he showed) and it was a very comfortable fit, but I did size up 1/2 a size so that probably helped. I ended up not going for them as they were too much boot for me, but definitely would if I was doing hardcore stuff in winter conditions.. They're a good price on Amazon right now UK11 so can return if no good. BTW I went for the La Sportiva TX4 in the end and love them. Wide forefoot (but their sizing is very odd) and Vibram Megagrip on the sole is outstanding!
@@RJ-hi5pw thanks for the info. I will take a further look at these and maybe Sportiva TX4 you mentioned. I have some Meindls at the moment but am looking for an alternative. Meindl's are pretty good but not Vibram soles and slightly heavy
@@BlackCrag one other question, did you ever find that these boots leaked or your feet ever got wet? I saw one video where the boot was flooding and leaking.
Was all set to buy a pair of Meindl Bhutans this week but after watching this, can’t get these out of my head! Always thought walking boots should look like the traditional style but now, with the high level stuff and scrambling I’m not sure. Need to make my mind up!!🤔
@@BlackCrag I decided to get the Bhutans since I’d tried these on in Ambleside but planning to treat myself to some Salewas for Christmas and have both!😊
Great boots with 3 remarks from my side. 1. laces doesn’t hold tight more than 1 hour of walking. I repleaced them with Hanwag and since then without isue. 2. insoles are garbage. 3. this is bigger one - rubber compound of the sole. Seems to me, that Vibram is not able to make rubber compoud that sticks on wet surfaces a lasts at the same time… In this case the sole has decent grip (only climbing zone traction isn’t the best) but durability is on poor side. Especialy on rocky terrain.
I must echo this last point. I bought a pair two weeks ago to replace my knackered old berghaus....things! I was looking forward to the step up in performance hopefully. To be fair, the berghaus had done pretty well, 120 wainrights knocked off and heaps of other mileage but the grips on the sole's are getting a bit slick like! Anywho, step up the salewa's, I liked the look of these and had rave reviews. 1st impressions out the box were good, well made and bloody comfortable! 1st walk in them though left me feeling a little sour. I walk to work, its about 2.5 miles, so 5 miles a day, ideal to break them in. Initially I did notice on wet ground they did seem to be a bit slippy, especially on rock or wood (stile's). I thought I'd just need to scuff the shine off them and maybe get them "flexing" a wee bit. Anyway, I persevered with them for about 2 weeks and they didn't really seem to improve although I didn't have any major problems with them. So I bit the bullet and took them to the lakes this morning, Causey Pike which I've done before. Conditions I would describe as dry to mildy moist, nothing that would have phased me before. Causey I remember being a little scrambly (Rowling End) but nothing that technical. However when I got to my 1st real scrambly bit, it was a struggle, the salewa's had absolutely no purchase. I know its wet rock which can be slippy as hell but I've not experienced anything like this, its as if the rock was covered in black ice! Anyway, I eventually did manage to get up and without any major incident. I actually thought, they're not great but I have got up, I didn't have any major frights, I just had to be more careful. At this point the jury was out. However, I came back over Outerside and barrow which is absolutaly nothing of a walk and had a few bad slips! Then on a very small and insignificant scramble down, something that would normally not even register I had a really bad slip. Luckily I caught it but if I hadn't there was a really bad sharp piece of rock where I was going to fall! That pretty much sealed it for me, these are not the boots for me. Not sure I can send them back now, will possibly just use them to walk to work of give them to my old man to walk the dogs. He has a dodgy ankle and the ankle support and comfort on these is very good. I feel as a walking boot for relatively flat terrain these would be excellent or even mountains with decent paths, ben nevis etc but if there's a scramble involved, or at least in the wet, they're lethal!
Great review Glenn, I just happen to be looking for my next hiking boots so I’ll give them a try on. I’ve been known to take 2 pairs as one pair good at grip and going up but kill the back of the foot coming down. My leather boots nearly killed me when the lace on one foot wrapped around the hooks that stick out too far on the other, proper arse over tit I went 😂 These look to be just what I need 🤔 Cheers ☺️
I have them for 1 year and the biggest minus of this salewa is slippery sole...my previous Lowa shoes (dont remember the model) were perfect in that case...i bought salewa because of the brand and im a bit disappointed in that point. Does that mean i will never buy salewa again? No. Shoes i will try another brand but clothes i will still give a chance. We will see
Everyone raves about these but everytime I wear them on a hike my feet kill by the time I'm done. Mine are size 10 and I wear them with a pretty thick cushioned sock. My street shoes are converse size 9 but the 10 boots fit me good. Enough room in the toe box, no heel slippage...what am I missing?
After watching the glen's video, I'm thinking about getting these boots. Do they do a woman's fit. I was just wondering if any of the female hikers out there have used these make of boots. I'm a 5.5 to a 6 with a wide foot. I desperately need a new boot as my old zamberlan boot finally bit the dust on pen y fan last year 🥾🤦🏻♀️
I've been using cheep boots thus far and I've been looking for a pair of good quality boots. I like you have Narrow feet but as a size 6 I find it difficult to find a good fit (I have child feet haha) so I'll give these a look as I need a boot that will keep my feet in place and stop them sliding, especially when I'm walking down hill and crunches my toes to death. I'm using a pair of Karrimor Hot Rocks at the moment and they are doing a decent job but I'm spending more and more time in the fells so I need to invest in better boots. I'll give these a look as that 3 f system looks like it will be beneficial. Also are you a professional photographer or is this a hobby. I imagine your probably a mountain guide or something like that haha also nano Vlogs sound good but I do like those lengthy vlogs, much more detailed than most vlogs you find on youtube regarding hiking :)
You beat me to it, my backcountry.com gear head actually recommended them to me because I have a wider foot and my Asolo TPS520GV’s are uncomfortably narrow on me.
@@tomdorazio681 that yellow innards do their job - you can adjust the width and they cradle your feet. Not delivering upon the "no blister" promise though - had to break them in like any other boot. To anyone still wondering - if it's available near you - have your feet scanned in 3D - it does wonders when buying shoes/boots online (if not available, you may try a 2D version from eobuwie.pl but have no idea how it performs).
I bought online in both instances. Amazon the first time and Rock & Run this time. It's always a gamble but it paid off this time for me. I sized up 1 size and they're perfect 👌
Salewa describe the uppers on the Rapace GTX above the rand as nubuck leather that does need treating and not synthetic or non- leather as you mention. Unless of course there is a synthetic variant which you bought. That aside, I loved the video and your infection enthusiasm and passion shines through...thanks 😁👍
Cool.....but this is a review on Bergfreunde.... Nice shoes, poor quality from Salewa The shoes are great right out of the box. Comfortable. good grip etc. Only, these Salewa shoes also break quickly. I used them for 4 days with hikes in the Alps after purchase. Nothing crazy. No rocks. Just on the hiking trails. And the seam on the inside of the ankle has already been sanded to pieces. That is not allowed with this kind of shoes for this price from a brand that calls itself renowned. These are my 3rd pair of Salewa shoes in 1.5 years where the quality is just not good. 2x mtn trainers gtx both of which broke at the seam within 6 months. I have been reimbursed but the quality does not change. No more Salewa products for me.
Buy these boots here amzn.to/3CjndqJ. Thanks for watching :-)

I love the boots. They feel absolutely great. Not very happy with the Vibram sole though. Hopefully Salewa has a resole service.
As a wide footer i am heart broken that these wont be the boots for me. Amazing looking boot!
Have you tried any of the vivo barefoot shoes yet?
I really appreciate the review, Glenn! Was on the fence with getting myself a pair of Rapace, but this review sealed the deal for me.
hi! Thanks for the review! The boots just arrived yesterday!.... What kind of camera do you use for outdoors? it looks great!
Thanks Damian, I agree that non paid reviews carry more weight too 😊
Like the features of these. Will buy.
Hi Glen, I would like to buy these for my husband but I wonder if you have bought the boot in the same size as your normal shoe size?
Great pair of boots. Like you I struggled to find a pair of boots until I was recommended the Salewa GTX. Best pair of boots I’ve had and price wise they are great value too. Look forward to your nano vlogs. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Excellent 👍 are there shops in the lakes that sell these boots?
Hello and good day mate .... Canadian fellow here, into hiking as well and you brush over a little how they fair in winter, although you did mention you never got cold feet, how did they do in snow and mostly on icy hikes .... Also about them being waterproof, are they and if so, to what extend.... I have to cross some small streams and river sometimes and always looking to wear something that will somewhat keep me dry, will they?
Very warm and perform great in snow and ice. I use them in the depths of winter with either spikes or full crampons 😊
Are these boots any good for the wider foot type as well the reason I ask is I have a small bunion plus in work I’m usually a size 9. But have been wearing size 10 lately for comfort
11:15……which spikes are oils you recommend. Enjoy all your videos!!
Nice review. And yes Salewa is an italian brand (from the dolomites)
Could be my own review! I’ve also narrow feets. Always difficulties finding shoes whit the righy fit. And these are the first shoes which fits right away from the shop! Also the lower Salawe Wildfire GTX are fitting realy well!
Thank you Sir! This video made me to go for these, first hike and I’m loving it! Just gotta figure out the proper lacing system
Ah, brilliant, so pleased you're happy with them 😊 I might do a video on how I lace mine 🤔
@@BlackCrag i think you should:)!
What kind of camera did you use to get the selfie footage with the "invisible stick" effect?
Looking for a new pair of boots and you just said the magic word, narrow feet!. I will have to go somewhere to try them on as my Lowa renegade gtx are coming to the end of their life!
Well they have arrived, yet to go out in them, but just walking around the house they feel very nice.
Thanks very much 😊
Thanks for your review pal.
Cheers.
What do the rapace offer over the mountain trainers?
I have the Salewa mountain trainer, very similar looks wise but yes I can confirm the level of confidence they give with climbing over rough terrain is just unparalleled 👍
You should do more kit reviews
Where did you get them from please? I'm hoping there's a stockist in the Lakes where I can try on first. Cheers.
Just got some Salewa boots. Nice video, thznkyou. Subscribed!
Excellent review mate 👍 - look forward to more and excited about the nano vlogs! 👍
Thanks Will, really appreciate it mate 😊 👊
How would you compare the Rapace to the Raven? I'm struggling to decide between the two for backpacking and backpack hunting.
I'm afraid I've never tried the Raven.
Bought these based on your review....thank you!
Great stuff! Thanks 😊
what kind of camera are you using on the selfie stick?
I think I will be giving these a try! Top vid!
I was at three tarns last week in me new ve25 NF tent and wow it is superb .great stuff you put on here
Thanks very much 😊 I love wild camping but not done any this year.... Yet 🙏
Thanks a lot for your video. How do they perform in snow? slippery?
This review just sealed the deal for me. I'm climbing Mt Washington in may and I think these will be coming with me
That's great! You won't be disappointed 👌
@@BlackCrag one other question, did you ever find that these boots leaked or your feet ever got wet? I saw one video where the boot was flooding and leaking.
Are they comfortable for 'regular' walk? City walk?
Was all set to buy a pair of Meindl Bhutans this week but after watching this, can’t get these out of my head!
Always thought walking boots should look like the traditional style but now, with the high level stuff and scrambling I’m not sure. Need to make my mind up!!🤔
Oops, sorry to have messed your head up. See if you can try them on somewhere or just order them 🙌
@@BlackCrag I decided to get the Bhutans since I’d tried these on in Ambleside but planning to treat myself to some Salewas for Christmas and have both!😊
Great boots with 3 remarks from my side.
1. laces doesn’t hold tight more than 1 hour of walking.
Blimey, that sounds like a nightmare Fiona! 😱 Hope you weren't hurt! These are great boots, highly recommended. And thanks very much for watching 😊🙏
Do they have approach shoes for light work?
Do you still rate these boots am going to order from your link now..
Absolutely! They're excellent. I wore them in my next video in full winter conditions 👌
We will see
just order some for when we can get out again
Great review! Just bought a pair!
Fantastic! And thank you 😊 🙏
Everyone raves about these but everytime I wear them on a hike my feet kill by the time I'm done. Mine are size 10 and I wear them with a pretty thick cushioned sock. My street shoes are converse size 9 but the 10 boots fit me good. Enough room in the toe box, no heel slippage...what am I missing?
Where do they hurt? On the sole or around the upper and sides of the feet? I found that sometimes thick socks cause a problem.
The think sock is the issue look at a thinner sock.
Just found your channel and subbed. I look forward to supporting the content..
Thanks so much, really appreciate the support 😊🙏
After watching the glen's video, I'm thinking about getting these boots. Do they do a woman's fit.
I was just wondering if any of the female hikers out there have used these make of boots. I'm a 5.5 to a 6 with a wide foot. I desperately need a new boot as my old zamberlan boot finally bit the dust on pen y fan last year 🥾🤦🏻♀️
what is the size like, i have a 8 work boot and i sometimes have a 7 welly boot...
I ways size up 1 size. I take a 10 shoe normally and 11 in boots to allow that toe room. They're very comfortable 👌
@Black Crag thanks maye dropped you a FB message. It waterproof that I am after.
These boots are 140 on Amazon now think there a good price?
Can these be used for hiking only ?
Thanks very much 😊 Good luck with finding boots, I do recommend these. Currently working on transitioning to pro photographer 🤞
The Rpeace GTX is made in Romania, not in Italy (2022).
Great review my friend.
hellojw I bought these shoe models but I'm a little disappointed they are heavy and very wild
Great review!
funny thing - I bought them bc I have wide feet.
Wow, that's cool that they work well for wide feet too 👌
You beat me to it, my backcountry.com gear head actually recommended them to me because I have a wider foot and my Asolo TPS520GV’s are uncomfortably narrow on me.
Hi. Did you buy online or which store?
I bought online in both instances. Amazon the first time and Rock & Run this time. It's always a gamble but it paid off this time for me. I sized up 1 size and they're perfect 👌
Salewa describe the uppers on the Rapace GTX above the rand as nubuck leather that does need treating and not synthetic or non- leather as you mention. Unless of course there is a synthetic variant which you bought. That aside, I loved the video and your infection enthusiasm and passion shines through...thanks 😁👍
Was on the fence between these and the Mammut Kentos but after this review I’ve gone and bought them. Great review 👍🏻
Great stuff! Hope they take you all over the place 😊
They are actually made in romania
Salewa Is from Bolzano, Italy 😉😉 top 😉
Cool.....but this is a review on Bergfreunde....
Nice shoes, poor quality from Salewa
The shoes are great right out of the box.
