Wow, Nina, you smashed it once again. These flowers are gorgeous, made even moreso with Linda's incredible crochet flower centres. I can't wait to have a go at this. Absolutely marvellous. Thank you, Nina. Lovely to see your creations again on a Sunday morning, always a treat to look forward to. x
Hi Nina: These are gorgeous! Linda’s crocheted flowers made the whole piece come alive. Great project for using up scraps. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. 💜😎🇺🇸
I love these flowers! You always make elegant things no matter what the materials are. I’m glad you used the upholstery scraps. I have a gigantic basket filled with upholstery scraps and need some ideas on how to use them. I hope you’ll do another video with upholstery scraps. Thank you, Nina!
We love Louie! A pic of him is always welcome. Lovely project. Those crocheted flowers are amazing. I crochet but could never do miniatures. Looking forward to seeing how you can use these sweet pieces.
Thanks Lynda, they were perfect for the flowers and I have another slow stitch idea too. Thanks for the message as didn’t have a notification for some reason 😘💕🌸 Xx
What gorgeous flowers Nina, and Linda's crocheted pieces make perfect centers. I can't wait to see what you do with them. Have an awesome day, I hope it is sunny for you.
Thanks Debbie, they are beautiful aren’t they. Well it has chucked it down on and off again for much of this week. It was very wet yesterday and Toby was caked in mud after his walk in the woods. We had a lot more rain over night and our garden resembles a swamp! Took Toby into the hills this morning and although it was grey, it was at least dry, but everywhere is just so water logged. Toby has been in the bath practically everyday this week! Now we have glorious sunshine and it’s 14 degrees. Rain forecast every day until Friday and torrential rain all day Wednesday. Bring on Spring! We can’t take much more of this ☔️💦🌧️😘
Oh Nina, I feel for you we had a wind storm that flipped my plastic greenhouse, broke plants and pots and it has rained the last two days, I am afraid to look at the weather forecast.@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create those absolutely stunning and beautiful flowers, and those crocheted flowers were so perfect for the centres of them. Yes I can just imagine you making a vast amount of them too, not as many as Dee would create but just a few more. They would also make great card toppers too? It’s nice to know that Louie is in the background trying to get a look at what you’re doing. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Good morning nina, a nice little project and I can see, that it could be addictive. Make them in many coluors. I think louie feels, when the camera is on, you're staying in one place and he can spend time with you. When I am at the table abel often joins me as well, on or under the table. We are in for a rainy day, but it is not cold at all, so I hope to be able to do some walking later on. Hope you will have a nice sunday, special greetings for louie. Love and kisses lenaxxx
Good morning Lena, it’s a lovely little project, especially for days when you don’t have much time on your hands. I think you’re right about Louie. His cat flap is in my craft room, so he must see the lights go on and in he comes, always wanting to be fed first though 😽. It’s a miserable day here, tipping it down with rain again. Hope you managed some walking at the weekend. We went up the hills with Toby again and it was lovely, albeit very muddy due to all the rain we’ve been having. Have a wonderful week. Love and hugs 🌸 xxxxx
Hello Louie, miss you! Love the fabric embellishments for a change of texture and it was the perfect use of your little crotchet flowers! Happy Sunday!💕🇨🇦🇪🇸
What a lovely little gift of crochet pretties Linda gave you. Fun little Sunday project, Nina. Louie comes prancing in when you’re doing your Sunday videos. I do, as well. Love my Sundays with you.
Oh, Nina! Your flowers are simply stunning! So glad Louie wanted to get in on the action! He likes to say hi to your friends, and be close to you!!! TFS. 🥰🙏
What a great way of using scrap materials. As you say, we all have bits and bobs like that lying around so this is such a good idea. Thanks for another lovely (and useful!) video, Nina.
So pretty!! I have lots of fabric to use for these. I've made something similar with paper and a brad in the center, but hadn't thought of using fabric. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Nina and Louie, So pretty! I am currently making a needle book for a friend who is an avid embroider and I have been struggling with what to top it with. Guess who came to my rescue! Thanks so much for the great idea! Hope you have a great week! 👍✌️❤️😊
Those came out so pretty. And the crocheted pieces really complete the project. Just thinking about what could be added on top if you didn’t have the crocheted pieces. Maybe a small flower embellishment? Thanks for sharing. Love this project.
Great idea Nina! I have always found that to separate strands of embroidery thread, it works best to do it 1 thread at a time. So if you want 2 threads, you separate the threads 1 by 1 and then put the 2 back together. Any time lost in separating them individually is gained back in not getting them all tangled. I learned this technique from an expert embroiderer on TH-cam (@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery) and it really works, even for people with two thumbs like me ☺️
Oh my! So any ideas swimming around in my head now! I have SO much fabric to play with. TFS
That’s great to hear. Happy Creating 🌸🌸🌸

Lovely, now have you got an owl that’s missing its eyes?
