  • When Nazi forces invaded Holland in 1940 and began rounding up Jews, Corrie ten Boom, her sister Betsie, and their elderly father risked their lives to save as many as possible. A hidden room was secretly built in their home where the oppressed Jews took refuge until a Gestapo raid put an end to their operation. For their “crimes,” Corrie and Betsie were sent to the notorious concentration camp at Ravensbruck, where they suffered relentless cruelty. Struggling to reconcile God’s goodness with the terrible realities of the camp, the sisters clung desperately to their Christian faith. Betsie died in the camp, but Corrie was miraculously released due to a clerical error. She spent the rest of her days caring for other death camp survivors and sharing her story with the world. Corrie’s 1971 best-selling book, The Hiding Place, provides her account of persevering faith and forgiveness in the face of terrible evil.
    Director: Robert Fernandez
    Starring: Pam Rosewell Moore

I am an Norwegian. Im 53 years old. When I was about 10 years old I was read to from a book "the hiding place". It really did something to my heart and it made God and Jesus real in my life. At the age of 13 and from then on, I really confess as being a believer in Jesus Christ. Corrie ten Bom will forever have a special place i my heart!

Wow what a blessing to have had that time with Corrie. If possible, please introduce her to me, as we spend eternity at the feet of our Savior. I just heard her story a few days ago on a radio program and wept as I drove to my destination. That day God used me to reach out to a few needy hearts, that were awaiting something from somebody... we know that the Holy Spirit has a purpose and puts us in those places, to do the will of the Father. Please pray that I'm following the path He wants for me as I struggle to find a place to worship with other like minded believers. Gods Blessings to you.

She and her family must have many many crowns. What an amazing family and a true example of giving life to your words. Many people say "I follow Christ" yet cannot forgive their neighbours for their dog going on their lawn. This woman forgave the man that was directly responsible for the death of most of her close family and the suffering of herself and by doing so showed him the way to our saviour. THAT is living for Jesus Christ 🙌

Corrie came to the back of my high school seating where I was at & gave me a word from God. I was rebellious & contemplating suicide, but I listened because I felt such love & peace from her. I left that day a forgiven senior because I committed my heart to Jesus not only because of her story on stage, but her heart to walk back to where I was sitting, & to reach me in time! I love her & will see her again in Heaven!!! Thank you Papa God for creating such a beautiful person who lived sharing your heart! Amen.

Then, to get through with victory, we have the same love, respect & knowing intimately God as Papa, & The Holy Ghost as power & revelatory of Papa's heart & directions on how to do His will. I heard of Corrie Ten Boom's story back in the 1970's. The thing that impressed me most about her story, when being confronted by one of the prison guards at one of her talks years after the war, was that she had to make a conscientious determination to forgive him when he asked for it - she did not want to with every fiber in her being - but as soon as she determined to obey the Lord rather than her own bitterness, and extended her hand toward the former concentration camp guard, the Lord flooded her heart with His love and forgiveness, and the forgiveness was instantaneous and complete and set her free. That illustration served me many ways since I first heard that story, and from then on I've been aware of making a conscientious effort to forgive those who have hurt me on purpose, and have learned to pray for God to bless them, as per our Lord's command. I can say that despite my past of intense abuse at the hands of two people, I have no bitterness and nothing to keep me from growing in the grace of Christ. Forgiveness stops the oppressor from making a victim out of you, no matter how badly they want to victimize you. With forgiveness, you will never be a victim, but a victor. Forgiveness is so worth it. You can't eat unforgivness, and its ensuing bitterness, but you can certainly poison yourself with it and get deathly ill. And you CAN flourish in forgiveness and its ensuing life-affirming love. Such a nice state to be in mentally, emotionally and spiritually, which in turn enhances physical health - and FREEDOM! There is no better place to be than in Christ's Freedom! “If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” Thank you Corrie Ten Boom for being a modern day example of the power of forgiveness in the lives of those whose hearts are totally Christ's.

Corrie has always been an inspiration to me. I once bought ten copies of The Hiding Place, and sent them to relatives and friends. Every single one was blessed by it. I realized that I had given away my own copy, so now I need to buy another for myself, because I have read and re-read it many times. During these times, which I believe are the end times, my oldest daughter read it again, perhaps seeking courage for what may come. It is such a message of hope and courage to stay close to the Lord and treasure His word, no matter what. This documentary was so well done, so thank you to those who produced it. It really touched me. Especially at the end where the tangle of threads was turned around to reveal a crown. I wept.

Ms. ten Boom, or Corrie, as she was affectionally known , was always an inspiration to me and others. Her ordeal as a prisoner of Hitle in the death camps during WWII was heartbreaking to hear about. But her love for Christ, and her faith that He would be with her, and her sister no matter what, has inspired many to put their trust in God
      .
She survived the brutal camps due to a "clerical" error she stated but we know it was by the Hand of God she was released and spared. She said she knew she was blessed to preach, and teach others about the Gospel, and Jesus Christ. She did this until she was finally called home by our Lord.
Thank God for her testimony, and for sharing about forgiveness, most of all.
God bless all those who served a Mighty God during the most evil of times as WWIi rather than surrender to the evil before them.
      For God's Word says that
      we are more than conquerors
      In Christ. And as Corrie gracefully learned and said;
There is No pit so deep that He , Jesus Christ, is not deeper still.
      ---Corrie ten Boom,
from her book, The Hding Place

Having watched this, I felt like repeating the wonderful, but very simple, little poem by Corrie ten Boom in the end:
    Look around and be distressed
    Look within and be depressed
Look at Jesus...and be at rest.

Nice documentary. I am from Haarlem and visited the BeJe ( BartelJorisstraat) when i was 15. I was the only visitor and had a privat tour. The guide also showed me the Clock in the window and told the way it was used, as explained in the video. They were very brave people in those times. The police station was only about 100m away, around the corner in the Smedestraat. I also bought the book about her experiences and watch the movie. Since i was 17, i am in contact with people who organise the guards at the monuments on May 4th, Death Remembrance Day. My German grandmother who lived in Haarlem-Noord bevor, during the war and up to 1994, told me she always put out the radio when the "shouter" (Hitler) was on the radio. I visited the outside of camp Ravensbrück in 1988. It was then still in use by the Sovjet Army. The only place where Haarlem was bombed was in the urban area next to the big train repair facilities. The allied bombs did not fall on the right area. Maybe that was the bombardement Corrie told about. And two Messerschmidt planes collided above the Bakenesserkerk in 1942. Now i live in the Belgium Ardennes and i am 48 years young.

This was to me magnificent. I am so grateful to GOD to have found it and watched it. My own heritage is Dutch. My maternal Grandmother's roots in Holland. It was my Grandmother who first gave me the book "The Hiding Place" more than 50 years ago and I am as enthralled by the many stories of Corrie Ten Boom now as I was when I first read the book. I sobbed at the close of this to realize Corrie's love for "The Weaver" poem, as it is also loved by me and a copy is pasted in the front of the Bible I read each morning as I begin the day. Thanks to everyone who made this gem of a piece available for viewing. I enjoyed it immensely 🙏

I remember hearing Corrie speak at the First Baptist Church in Van Nuys California in the mid 1970's . What a testimony she had. . She was used of GOD like no one I have ever heard. Such a true testament of faith and the love of GOD. I feel so blessed to have been able to hear her speak live.

Her story is a reminder that we can all impact the world around us by sharing the compassion of Christ to those that the Lord nudges us to love in His Name. The force you refer to is in fact the presence of Jesus living within her - may what we have learned here strengthen us in our resolve to follow Jesus and Corrie in living out Christ's love.

      She's more than was-
She still is changing hearts & lives through her witness & us sharing with those who never heard of her. Antisemitism is rising in these last days, & many need to relate by hearing & watching, so, let's all share this movie more.

What an amazing lady. Watching this presentation I was moved to tears. Many years ago I read Corrie’s books. The woman is obviously a saint. I remember reading in one of her books the account of her meeting with the former guard from the camp and how she prayed for grace to shake his hand and forgive him. The world needs more Corries.

What courage and wisdom this woman possessed. I was a foster parent for many years so I know just a little about helping people. I raised my granddaughter from a year and half until she was fifteen. She left and lived on in he streets nd got heavy into drugs. Now she is back in my life. She is sober and trying to keep off drugs. She hikes in the mountains like we used to, that’s helping her so much. She’s remembering all the healthy things w did when she was little. I was afraid I would never see this happen. My other granddaughter was murdered a month ago. She was living on the streets, heavy into drugs and much more. 😇🙏

Feb. 21 from Alabama. In this troubled time believers are praying in one mind and one accord. First, that God’s Perfect Will be done, and that all evil that has been brought to light, come to justice. Fear will not consume us during this time of covid but just as Corrie demonstrated, Perfect Love cast out all Fear. Glory to God!
