Really good strat. Also I just wanted to point out. You don't actually have to kill the boss to count for searing exarch/eater of worlds. You just need to get in and kill a few mobs. Then port out.

This method looks a lot like old-school ARPG/D2 farming strat- go in, kill boss, get out as quick as possible. I need a video on what's considered "Bulk" selling on TFT. Do you advertising the whole lot or find things sell better in chunks for 10/20/50/etc? Do you sell your Guardian maps in Sets only? Again, is there a min-quantity of sets to move on TFT? Been happy with your Expedition strat because there's nothing to prep besides the logbooks and the currency is easy to flip at any quantity. Essences sit in my inventory and it's been hard to move them (and I took the nodes off my Atlas well over a week ago).
I think the boss has a 50% chance baseline to drop a connected map. I might be wrong though, but from what you said 70 to drop from tree the base 50=120 x 1.18 from dupes= 141.6 from 100 maps that is close to your mentioned 140.
They're definitely fun. Im starting to think its not worth the points though with how rare diviners/cartographer boxes are. Shit I've had the nodes all league with 3 characters lvl 95+ and Ive found 4 diviners boxes total lol. Plus honestly have you ever gotten anything good from diviners box? I get "the void" as the best card almost every time lol

I'm quite lucky with how much of them I got tho, I probably got more than 20 and some were activatable 2-3 times but still not a single good div card xD. The thing that makes the most/consistent money for me are the scarab boxes. But then again I do think that other strats are way better

Small tip, if you care: spec into harbingers,pick up orb of horizon shards+orbs, use orbs of horizon to change other maps into the map you need. This can actively help with sustain, rather than hoping for duplicated map drops. Same with harbinger orbs. Uptier any map tier below the map tier of the map you wanna grind,then horizon it into the one you actually want. You can also use the scarab recipe. 10 scarabs along with (iirc) 1 orb of horizon = 1 random scarab.With that you can basically gamble away your unused scarabs in hopes to get cartographer scarabs,which increase the likelihood of maps dropping,which you then can again turn into the one you want as described a moment ago. If you get into general map sustain issues,you can run kirac missions since they're free maps, in hopes of dropping real maps. Also make sure you have at least 80-90 iiq on maps and spec into item quantity on the atlas tree before using scarabs, along with the rare pack nodes at the bottom. This should help at least a little bit, if you do it for a while.

I guess this will be completely dead in 3.18 - since you cant guarantee a connected map drop from the boss but only from mobs which you will then need to target also? Thoughts?
Do you upgrade all of the essences to Deafening before bulk selling? Or just certain ones? I wasn't sure of the best/profitable/quickest method of selling them.
Not all essences are better as deafening, as strange as that sounds. For example, the essence that gives +2 levels to bow gems gives the same mod when it's either shrieking or deafening.

@@ajack3526 Late replying to this.. but the prices shown on poe ninja aren't accurate for bulk selling. They know the price of selling 1. When you bulk sell deafening especially, the more expensive ones are worth 1.5-2x as much. So, its a useful reference, but its not as simple as 'deafening is worth 6c, screaming is 1c, so you shouldnt upgrade 9 screaming to 1 deafening'. That deafening in bulk is more like 9-12c.
What u think about lookout and strand, both are linear i doing Boss rush plus harbringer and essences finishing maps in like 90s and get a good amount of exalted shards for harb too, as the map até linear u dont miss anything from atlas
@@Palsteron I'd say they are too long if you're only interested in essence + boss drop. But they are great for influence altar farming, for lots of scarabs and eldritch crafting currency.
Hey i want to point out that the correct calculation for Baptised by fire is (28 / 1.1 = 25.45) not (28 * 0.9 = 25.2). I wanted to play this build but the forbidden jewels shot up in price alot... great video though!
Hey Palsteron i wanted to give this a try with the new atlas point singular focus to try to only run one map. do you think it would work like that? taking your whole atlas setup and puting in sungluar focus favorite 8x atoll for example the should drop only atolls.

That would mean you would need to find them all which will slow down your map/hr thus impacting the amount of invitations you get. In the time you try to find them you could be opening up 2nd map and at that essence shrine or boss already.
Super late, but the "50% chance to corrupt trapped monsters; maps contain an additional trapped monster" and one of the conqueror/elder/shaper sextants will greatly improve profits. Just make sure you're not overpaying for compasses.

There's usually 2-3 essence on the main path and more often then not they're corrupted with tons of essence. I went from buying remnants constantly, to selling hundreds of them and never running out.
just trying on lookout map because the map is very cheap like 1 to 1.5 c per map, and the boss is very easy to kill with 15 ex budget flicker. maybe will try lightning warp soon when currency is ready.
I wonder, every farming method i try works flawless in the beginning and then suddenly stops. Cemetery Divi Farm: 3 Brother's Stash in the first 5 Maps, then hundreds of nothing. Switching to Promenade Divi Farm: getting 2-4 Patient Cards on every Map in the beginning, then suddenly its like 1 Card every 5 maps. Switching to Boss Rush: I got my Fav Maps, got 1-2 Guardian/Whatsoever Map on every Map, then suddenly nothing anymore. It's like the game shuts down everything i try for farming after the first 5 Maps.
That's because you are way too flippant about what you're doing, stick to one thing. Rng exists if you do 5 maps, it doesn't exist if you do a thousand.
If they were duplicated in a way that meant they would get the bonuses from the Altars and from the connected map drops, then it would be mandatory. Unfortunately it's pretty much just a Metamorph node at the moment.
@@chakra6666 Does the extra boss from Enriched Bosses even drop the guaranteed basic currency from Enriched Bosses? Probably the other map bosses cluster does nothing for the extra boss either.
I also like Toxic Sewer / Waste Pool. It's about 20 seconds / 40 seconds in my tests. Essence is often in the boss area, though not always. I just like it because you just follow the wall so requires actual zero brain power to find the boss.
Yeah Waste Pool boss kinda kills it for me, but especially if you have a build like blade vortex or cyclone, those layouts are perfect! In the end, it's a grind so everyone should make sure they also visually like what they're seeing on the screen, so you don't get bored quickly!

awesome strat, only con i would put to it is the chance for 2 advance on searing/eater. if that procs on map 13 or 27 you lose the invitation which would make it a waste of time for that round. dropped it but otherwise kept the rest of this and enjoy it.

I'm on Xbox and the strategy isn't working properly. I'm only getting random connected maps. Even though all of my fav slots are say Crimson temple it's always dropping ivory. When I was favoriting atol it was almost always bizarre. And never dropped atol unless I ran the bazzar or arcade. So I'm unable to hold just the 2 maps back and fourth.

I was doing this on city square on my laptop and it wasn't too bad. Not sure how quick it is on a desktop so nothing to compare to haha.

Check PoeNinja for the prices. There are some essences where you actually lose profit if you upgrade to Deafening.

I missed a step, do you favorite 8 times atoll and 8 times arcade? Or do you do 16 times favorite the "connected map"?

and those 250 maps should have given you ~10 searing exarch invitations which sell for 110c each

If people are doing boss rush atlas trees and not taking Enriched Entities, I feel like that node needs a redesign.

Hello, is anyone having a hard time sustaining arcade maps? It seems like 90% of my boss map drops are the other connecting maps.

Why het those alva missions? U just need stop to do her missions so this increase your time doing these paralel content.
You use them for other farming strata when you're burned out on essence farming.
