Those bumpers are a great idea all on their own for protecting the piece.

I use a Silberschnitt circle cutter too and you could ease up just a little on the cutting pressure Jamaison. I’m totally weird and really enjoy cutting circles!! Great job on the portholes! I may steal your idea for my tiny shop 😁

I agree - I press too hard but think it’s just nerves!!! More practice needed…

Watch the video on your computer on how to use the cutter. They give an easier way to get your circle out easier and perfect every time.

Absolutely adorable pieces!! Excellent instructions and idea. Can’t believe how creative you can be. We have been to an At Home in Minneapolis and live it. So many cool thing to buy. They need to be on clearance. Lol. Thanks Jamaison.

Beautiful!! Great tip on fixing the problem. I am sure if I made one of these that would happen to me. That is my luck.

That is really neat!! I miss glass fusing. I hear you about doing the score lines and being nervous about making the breaks etc. *laughs* I can't have a regular kiln in my house so I only got some practice with it using the microwave kilns. I found out I love glass fusing but I still can't have a regular kiln yet. I found I could rent kiln time at a local business but that would get expensive after a while... hope to move to a new house soon with a workshop then I will get a real kiln. :P If it does not have the right plug for it I will have one installed. :D - Heidi

I feel like I would wither and die without fusing!!! Good luck with finding a place where you can get your own kiln and workshop set up!

May I recommend watching The Glass Underground video on cutting circles? I’ve been cutting glass for 30 years and the way she cuts glass changed my life! Just search for “cutting glass circles easily and quickly” and you’ll find it on TH-cam. Love love love your videos!

I’ve seen Meryl’s video! I was too nervous to practice her technique but need to try it for sure!

It’s the pulling outward with the grozing pliers that blew my mind. I was taught (oh so long ago) to “break” the glass score with them. You will be amazed at how easy it is. Practice on a piece of tekta. You’ll love it.

Do you find a little wiggle on the ball of your cutter? I’m wondering if it is just mine.

Oh my gosh I literally lost my breath when it popped and it sounded like the circle broke! 😮 My heart is racing ! 😂 I can’t cut a circle to save my life 😢

Amy, please keep in mind that I am very busy with a full time corporate job, family, glass making, decal business and now a TH-cam channel with steady content. I cannot take on a lot of extra, especially mentoring since I’m still learning myself. But you can reach me at fusingsupplies@gmail.com.

@@JamaisonSchuler I totally understand! I think Google helped me identify that my glass piece has devit. I watched your pebble video and read some stuff and it’s seems like my bubble hold of 60 minutes should be reduced to 30/40 at the most. I’ll be sure to clean the glass thoroughly, too. Your mentoring through your videos is much appreciated!!
