Great video John! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you celebrate) I am thankful for you introducing me to this outstanding hobby. I am currently working on Artesania Latina's HMS Endeavour's Longboat. Whats a good model you would reccomend building after a model like that? I want to build something large but affordable. Thank you very much!!! We do not celebrate Thanks Giving in Greece but thank you! If you manage to build the Artesania's Endeavour then you can try the Santisima from OcCre, it's a big and a difficult one but also very beautiful!

@@JohnsWoodenShips The one I am making is the captains longboat belonging to the HMS Endeavour. It's not the HMS Endeavour, I'm not sure how to describe it other than it's shaped and built like one of the lifeboats on the HMS Endeavour. Since it's not a full sized ship like the HMS Endeavour, what would be a better next step? Sorry for the confusion.

@@deysonmorken9364 Oh sorry , my mistake. Then don't try the Santisima, it's a lot harder than the boat. I will disappoint you but the big ones are always hard. Try La Candelaria, it's mid size and easy enough.

Hello John, only one Word describes that model BEAUTYFULL. As for the ropes, I never use the ones supplyed in a modelkit, I prefere agrame treads, but I think that I have to check out ropes of scale soon.
