Nice tribute to Fams who left this earth February 3. The Barrett brothers were the killer rhythm section on so many classics. Nice breakdown of technique, Thank You so much! Have a fantastic tour with JL!
Thank you!!
Great lesson. I don't play enough reggae, but I think it's a great way to develop a loose but still precise sense of time as well as groove.
I first learned this song by pattern & not triads. Kept messing up moving to the E. You've connected the dots/triads for me. Thanx Ryan
Thanks Ryan, something new for me to try out. You are still my favorite bass teacher.
Greetings Michael

From Jimmy Kimmel to our favourite channel! Busy week!
Awesome Ryan...and just came back from Jamaica...timing is everything right?
Sure is!
The initial tempo sounds very rushed.
Too many passing and added notes too. This is why so many struggle with reggae bass; they panic at the simplicity and lack of notes compared to other forms of music. Space and one drop freak them out.
@@thewomble1509 exactly, slow and softly, let it breathe and the space adds more
@@reggaebass1857 Yes, exactly.
