I loved the simplicity of this and how you just read and let the music play it was very relaxing. You have gained a new subscriber ! I love watching reading vlogs and I just love how yours wasn't super chatty just relaxing. Can't wait to see more.
This is such a unique take on reading vlogs and while I love to hear chatter this is just so refreshing and to the point. Love it !! So glad I found this channel! :)
I'm so glad you like it :) I just love reading/writing and wanted to share that with others but I'm too nervous for the camera, haha :P Thanks for watching!
1 or 2 books is still a lot for one day! This was just a productive day for me. Rarely happens, haha. I read 10 books in January but ZERO in February because I just didn't feel like it.
Glad you like it :) Would you rather watch a weekly reading vlog (so basically what I read in a week) or random daily readathons like this one? I wouldn't be able to film the daily ones all the time but I can try for more!
This is one of the best Readathon vlogs i have ever seen. What i like about it most is that it is less talking and more showing. Which is very cool and immersive. 👍👍👍
I'm so glad I stumbled on your video, even though there was no talking, the aesthetic of everything was loud :D Just subscribed; can't wait to see more of your videos!!
Hi layla! I just wanted to say that your videos are amazing I watch them 24/7 and I still love them. You are so amazing youtuber and I am soo excited for your New videos. Can you do update bookshelf tour or Favourite Fantasy books? Or some TAG?
Thank you so much, Kristy! I will try to do some Tags/Book Recommendations soon! It's just kinda difficult to do since I don't talk in my videos :P I'm still figuring out how to do it but hopefully they'll be up soon :)
During my first 24hr readathon, I only read Mockingjay. Also you were watching Adelaine Morin's vlogs while you were eating and I just freaked out idek why😂😍 Also "because I'm trash and need to talk about books all the time" same😂😂
Omg--Mockingjay is pretty long! Honestly, finishing even one book in a day is a huge accomplishment. And yes, I love her vlogs :P So glad I'm not the only one who is trash, haha!
It really depends on the person! I have to get to know their interests a bit before I can recommend something because I want to make sure they like it :) What genres do you like to read? Do you have any favourite books or authors?
Hmm.. some (young adult) fantasy books I have really enjoyed are An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, and A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. These are all part of a duology or series though! I would definitely recommend them :)
U reminded me of days gone by I used to read for 24 hours to finish one book actual ones, yeh I am too old now for this I had such fun doing that then crashing for a few hours then wake up and go out for brunch and coffee ah youth lol, I do have a question u would not happen to be of Iraqi or Persian origins I ask because used the saffron sugar crystals in your tea :)
I think I'm a speed-reader but I'm honestly not sure, haha. It could also be the type of books I pick? Most YA contemporary books have big fonts/less words on each page. If I'm into a story, I can read up to 100 pages per hour. And since most of these books range between 3-400 pages, I can finish one every 3-4 hours (if I'm focused). Normally I only read 1 to 2 books per week though. This was just a little challenge for myself :P
LaylaBetweenTheLines That’s crazy. I actually read those books as well, but it takes me like a month to finish them. Maybe if I read them in one sitting I would be able to read them fast as well, but my attention span isn’t that good I guess? Thanks for responding anyway!
I'm sure your attention span is fine :) Most people I know only read 1-2 books per month as well. Sometimes I don't read any books if I'm having a busy month. I think it definitely depends on your mood too! I prefer to finish my books in one sitting because I'll lose interest if I have to keep putting it down for other things. Whether people read one book a year or one book a month, we're still doing what we love :) I hope you read some good books soon! And thanks for watching :)
Fair enough :P You're entitled to your opinion. This was clearly strategic on my part so I wouldn't damage my eyes (more than I already have) for reading for an entire day. *Please note that you should be wary of what you comment in a public space because there are people with visual impairments who can only read this way, and your remark comes across quite offensive in that context. We're not all able-bodied. Also, I think reading in all forms should be encouraged for everyone--anything to stimulate the mind :) Happy reading!
"because i'm trash and need to talk about books all the time" BIG MOOD
Glad I'm not the only one 😂

I’m so impressed! I’m such a slow reader that if I did this I probably wouldn’t get through more than one or two books!
1 or 2 books is still a lot for one day! This was just a productive day for me. Rarely happens, haha. I read 10 books in January but ZERO in February because I just didn't feel like it.
Same here
Thea Rugg me
You are a slow reader ? I never even fimished 1 book
I love this because usually people actually talk instead of reading! And also people usually spend over half the time on one book. This is amazing!
Thank you :) Glad you liked it.
Oh my gosh please make more of these
Glad you like it :) Would you rather watch a weekly reading vlog (so basically what I read in a week) or random daily readathons like this one? I wouldn't be able to film the daily ones all the time but I can try for more!

What were those yellow things you added to your tea?
Saffron sugar crystals/rock candy! I don't know if other cultures use it as well but it's definitely a thing Persians like to have with their tea :P
I was going to ask the same question, word for word :D I'm glad you got there first. Got the answer more quickly. 🤓
Haha I was wondering the same thing!! You did a great job on your marathon that I’m almost envious! 😍👍🏽
I may have had a mini panic attack at 4:00 because I was persuaded that the sound was my phone ringing.
What did you put in there before teabag and milk?
They are saffron sugar crystals :) Basically like sugar cubes except sweeter...and prettier, haha.
You got a new subscriber more 24 hour book reads please :)
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 💛
Please please please do more of these Reading vlogs 💛
Even smaller ones would do!
More coming soon :) Thanks for watching!

What's the number one book you recommend for people who are looking for a good novel?
It really depends on the person! I have to get to know their interests a bit before I can recommend something because I want to make sure they like it :) What genres do you like to read? Do you have any favourite books or authors?
Well, I do really like fantasy books, but I don't really have a favorite author.
Hmm.. some (young adult) fantasy books I have really enjoyed are An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, and A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Sometimes I look at pug pictures for 5 minutes straight
Literally me. Every. Day.
❤❤❤❤
U reminded me of days gone by I used to read for 24 hours to finish one book actual ones, yeh I am too old now for this I had such fun doing that then crashing for a few hours then wake up and go out for brunch and coffee ah youth lol, I do have a question u would not happen to be of Iraqi or Persian origins I ask because used the saffron sugar crystals in your tea :)
Haha, it's hard for me to read this much now too. Sleep is important! And yes, my family is from Iran :)
yeh the paisley on the wall is a give away, I love that so much my dad is from southern Iran my mother is from southern Iraqi, wonderful vid as usual
How in heaven did you read so many books? How is that even possible?
I think I'm a speed-reader but I'm honestly not sure, haha. It could also be the type of books I pick? Most YA contemporary books have big fonts/less words on each page. OMG. I am so jealous! Hahaha.
😘😚😍
What the fuck? You watched TH-cam videos.
I always watch TH-cam videos when I eat :P
You're not reading if you just listen to the book on your phone lmao.
