I used a discbound system for my bullet journal through april-december 2019. There were things I liked about it, but ultimately I realised that I like to flick back and forth between pages a LOT and the pages started coming off of the discs from wear. Also I didn't enjoy having the discs there in the middle dividing the spread in half. It was nice being able to keep pages/move pages around/add more pages in where I needed them, but I decided to go back into a bound book at the start of 2020 and that's been working better for me. I don't regret trying it out though because it made me realise what things were important to me and what my preferences are.
That's such a good point! My main reason for trying out the discs is that I am super indecisive and thought this would provide me with the most flexibility, but I totally anticipate that the constant flipping will cause wear and tear. That might be a dealbreaker for me. I'm not a huge fan of bent/ripped paper, so we'll see how this goes :P
Oh man, this made me miss my disc bound system so much !! I used it for maybe 2 yrs and went with hobonichi this year. 2022 will for sure take me back to discs.
I debated between discs and the hobonichi for so long! Ultimately I wanted to be able to move around my pages because I'm so indecisive, but I love how minimal the hobonichi looks. I hope you enjoy it!
@@LaylaBetweenTheLines yes, that is the one thing I miss the moss about my discs, having different sections (since I follow the Hobonichi cousin’s layout as is). I do use Tul brand paper though, since it handles fountain pens like a dream. I do love my cousin, but it’s not so special I can’t achieve the same in discs.
Thank you, Sadie! I'm glad you loved it! I'm using 1 inch plastic discs in this setup :) I think any bigger would not fit the LV agenda cover I am using. The 1 inch fits more inserts than I thought though!
I love how crisp the clear, dividers and disc look.

Was it the half letter? Love this video!!! So satisfying ❤️❤️📖
Yes, the half letter fit perfectly!!! Glad you like it!
