1986 ROVER SD1 LS1 V8 SWAPPED

I had the opportunity to work on this LS1 converted Rover SD1 with ITB's. Its shifted via a T56 Manual gearbox, Engine management via a Haltech Elite 2000 and Wired up and basemap tuned by me @wiredbystavjet.

I was literally just searching for engine swapped, modded SD1s and BANG here you are with a vid you put out yesterday! I have a massive regret of not buying an SD1 as my first car after passing my driving test back in 1992. It was the 2.6ltr 6 pot but I always dreamed of owning a V8 Vitesse twin plenum. The SD1 is such a pretty car but also menacing, muscular motor that must be quite the sight belting up behind you on a good, fast road. Sadly here in the UK they've been a rare sight for 3 decades now. Your car is INCREDIBLE!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, infact this is not my car and actually a customers build I helped with wiring and tuning.
I had never seen a rover sd1 car in my life prior to meeting Chris but it did grow on me and now with it complete its certainly an awesome combination with the power and also handling.

It's great that people still recognise the car from that long ago.
The new owner Chris I believe is looking to get it all engineered and legal here in Victoria.
