I have this model, then sold as the S4. The one I got was an exclusive sold thru Diamond dealers, it was $399 and called the Sirius, it came in a metallic light blue color and a free HEPA filter. I also have an S2 Delphi and while it's a bigger machine physically and made in Germany aldo, the Sirius is heavier...it's a heavy little chunk...you can tell some serious quality went into it. It was purchased back in 2004, and it's used every single day in a 4-bedroom house of all hardwoods/laminates/tile and 2 very sheddy dogs (Tibetan Spaniels). With only a power switch replacement, it shows no sign of quitting anytime soon. Thanks for the video.
yeah....; after not having found (= so far after 3h of search) a repair instruction for the EU/CH Miele 400er series...; you brought at least a big smile on my face.... :-).... // trowing all the nasty vacc cleaner parts in a dishwasher....... :-).... = hillarious.... :-)..... !!
Great video! Is there a secret to separating the connector at 5:12? Like applying pressure in a certain area? I am unable to and don't want to add extra force. Our local Miele servicing location was completely unhelpful. Thanks! Edit: nevermind! Got it by rocking the connector up and down!
You should do a video on the Hoover Taskvac Hard Bag Commercial CH53005 vacuum, as I have been thinking of getting one, and show how it's similar and different to the Hoover Windtunnel Max UH30600 👍
Another great video! I noticed that Miele HEPA filters no longer include activated carbon on the bottom. That was a great feature as it gave you the best of both worlds. I read somewhere that Miele was launching a 4d bag that included a carbon layer. I believe they’re called smell protect. Have you heard anything about that?
Yo man, I run a cleaning service and own about 6 of these. Currently trying to learn how to service them myself and swap parts etc. any recommended resources ? I’m getting fleeced at my local dealer
I would consider eventually switching over to a commercial style cleaner that's meant to be serviced by the user. Numatic Herny's would provide a better alternative. Until then I would bring them to the local dealer usually they'll work out a deal with cleaning companies speak to the manager.

Très utile, j’ai pu remettre en place un fil d’alimentation cassé, merci!

You make this look so easy. Does this model have the vortex motor?
Yes it does
Great video, one question , why didn't you open de the motor and give it a good clean. 4 out of 5 cases its back in good shape . thnx
The motor needed to be replaced and was replaced.

My control dial won’t engage the highest two or three settings all of a sudden. Is there a repair video for that?
Sounds like you just need to realign your circuit board rear stat with your control dial

Pictures surfaced years ago and haven't seen anything since. I would love to see active carbon plus HEPA be a combination again

DEALERS OF MIELE AND SEBO SAY YOU PAY 2-4X MORE FOR THESE..BECAUSE THEY LAST 20-30 YEARS AND NEVER BREAK
There’s nothing like the scent of a dishBosched vacuum.
